I go through a whole lot of different USB drives. I find Sandisk to make terrific ones-- when materials are good. The Titanium is very well constructed and works well. Love the capless design too (avoid "swivels"). Kill the U3 app for more room (see Sandisk site for utility)

I like this flashdrive because it seems like it will last because of the metal construction. I have only had it a few weeks but look forward to its rugged construction lasting a long time.

Even though I ordered the Titanium Plus, for some reason I was sent the Titanium. I'm really not happy about that flub there, but the Titanium still works wonders. It's fast, works quite well with Windows XP, and I like the construction of it. I also like the applications that came built into the drive. It'd be five's all around if I would've been sent the right thing though.......

This is probably the best flash drive I've ever purchased. My only complaint is that the U3 software that is needed for all the extra features (encryption, backup, etc...) doesn't play well (yet) with Windows 7. The device just locks up and is entirely inaccessible. I had to remove the software using a non-Win7 computer in order to use it.

What more can you ask for. This is a the easiest to use and have enough memory for everything you would need on the go. I would recommend this to anyone.

I bought this Titanium because I liked its looks. It also performs well, has a very good capacity useful for many types of data transfers, is quite rugged, and I love the built-in cover as with my earlier plastic version.

I love the daily deals from Buy.com! Picked this one up for a grand total of $9.99. A 4GB USB with titanium casing at that price is unreal! It's so awesome, I got the 8GB Titanium too. The 8GB is more of a platinum color, while the 4GB is more of a yellow gold. I noticed that the 4GB is significantly lighter than the 8GB. Both have the U3 Smart system, which is essentially like an operating system on the USB drive. Pretty cool, but I have yet to use it.

This little sucker has gone through several major accidents but are still working well. It has been washed twice in my washer, dried twice in my dryer, and dropped multiple times but refuse to die. After that those events, it still retains my data well and works as it should. I highly recommend this product!

I'm very impressed with the speed of this device. Writes are very fast compared to other memory sticks that I've had. Testing shows 25MB/sec read speeds. The U3 comes with an uninstaller so you don't have to download anything to remove the U3 which I personally find useless anyway.

One thing I dread about these large capacity flash drives is losing one of them and the data then falls into the wrong hands... The built in hardware encryption on these drives puts my mind at ease in this matter without having to use secondary solutions like True Crypt. The drives are speedy and tough as nails - I've been carrying its earlier iteration on my keychain for two years and its stood up to all the abuse and works like its brand new. The only weak point was the ring between the drive and the keychain is thin and weak and did not stand up more than a year of tugging in the pocket. This could be the last drive I'll have to buy in a long time - its that good.. There is no competition to this drive - Secure/Sturdy/Speedy!

I got this flash drive for my college courses and although I haven't been able to use it much yet, at home it's been great. It writes and reads very fast and I used it to install Windows 7 on my computer. The shell is extremely tough and smooth, while the retractable usb head allows you to be worry free. I have not used the storage software but I did not buy it for that so regardless it's just the icing on the cake. For the 4 GB range this flash drive (at 9.99) is a steal.

I bought 4 of these as Christmas Presents and forgot to get one for myself. Now, I have one at a great price. The case is much better than some of the plastic flash drives I have. I have always liked the Sandisk products. Next time they offer it at this price, I may start next years Christmas shopping early.

I have been using this newest Cruzer for almost a month and it is almost as good as my 512mb model I have been using since 2005. The only drawback is that it can be hard to plug it into a usb slot that is not perfectly aligned as the usb plug will slide back into the body very easily. I would like it better if there were a latch or something to hold the plug end out.

Mechanically, this drive is flawless, so far. The USB connector slides in and out smoothly and the drive housing is very robust. The thumb slide lights up when in use and that is convenient. Personally, I don't like the U3 software nor the other software and tools that come with the drive. I nuked all that after a couple of days and wound up with a fast and very sturdy USB flash drive. I purchased this device at a terrific price, so, for me, it represents an outstanding value.

I bought this for $9.99 in weekly deals. It's a great buy, performes very good, fast, works without any issues on my laptop. I'm looking forward to buying two more, as there was a limit of 2 per customer. The password is a good feature, and it feels very solid, not as plasticky as my kingston traveler 4gb.

I got this Sandisk Titanium at a Buy.com unprecedentedly low price that disappeared fairly quickly. It has performed flawlessly. I did not bother with the on-line backup for two reasons: 1) After six months there is a fee, and 2) Regardless of the security claims, I don't trust any web site with my sensitive data files. Instead, I keep all of my personal files on removable high speed card media and off of my hard drive, and do a double backup every evening. The new Sandisk provides me with a free password protection function, so that I can keep highly sensitive data completely secured.

These are great little flash drives that were purchased from Buy.com at a great price. They are sturdy and fast. My only complaint is that the extendable USB connector does not always completely latch in place. Otherwise I consider these another dynamite product from Sandisk ( I also own a Sandisk MP3 player I purchased to replace a broken Ipod. I have found it to be superior to the Ipod.). Way to go Sandisk and Buy.com!

The CRUZER is different. Its not just an empty storage unit waiting to be used by anyone who comes across it. Its yours. It comes with its own software that boots when you plug it in. You can set up for encription and only you can have access to the data on it. That to me is important. Business files and personal info can be stored on this guy and he doesn't share that info with anyone else. This is my fourth CRUZER and it won't be my last. Get it. You'll love it.

The main thing I was looking for in a USB drive was speed. I recently bought a Kingston Data Traveler that is very slow. I run my Quicken file off the Cruzer plus use it for transferring files. It's great for what I use it for.

This is my second SanDisk USB drive and it is even better than my first one. It seems much sturdier than my other Cruzer Micro and is blazingly fast. I like that this drive has a little more bulk to it because of the metal casing, which makes me not worry about breaking it or smashing it. I immediately deleted the U3 bull that comes on it, but this is a great USB drive that I highly recommend.

I bought two of the flash drives for my twin grandaughters in college. They both were very happy with the gift. It will really be used alot so we will really have to wait to see how the product actually performs for them. Of course, I have heard no complaints. The value for the money was fantastic. The shipping was fast and free so that was great!

easy to use. great value at $10 price. CONS: U3 only works on Windows so if you lock the USB with a password, you cannot access the USB drive from a Mac OS computer.

I bought this as a replacement/upgrade from my 2GB Titanium Cruzer, and it did not disappoint one bit. These newer models are just as fast as the older, smaller ones, if not faster, and I couldn't be more thrilled. I _did_ get a much lower price, but these are superb values at any discount. I'm a hard-core Linux user, so I don't use the U3 add-on that comes with the drive, but if I did use Windows, I'd be happy with that tiny loss of space anyway.

This is a premium SanDisk product. You can use it as a USB drive or Vista ReadyBoost. OK, that's usually the standard stuff. Came with free subscription to Boomerangit (Lost and Found service) and SanDIsk's own "beinsync" suite of utilities. Lastly, you get a free trial of Sandisk's backup service - if you plug your Titanium Plus into a computer that is conected to the internet and is properly configured this unit is automatically backed up. Really Good Stuff!

I have used Sandisk memory devices for a long time and have come to trust the quality and performance - this one is no different. The metal shell (while light-weight) protects the stick quite well... And in this day and age, when cheap online storage is all the rage, the 4GB memory on this drive gives me enough capacity for simple data transfers - which are mostly transient in the office or on the road (if online storage was not an option, I would have wanted more storage on the stick... but that's just me). If you use Windows computers exclusively, the product also comes with software that helps you encrypt your data - which is cool... but I use it for transferring data between my Linux box, Mac and Windows... so I can't use the encryption feature. Oh well, simple storage is what I want it for anyway. Also, it comes with a lost and found tag (I hope to never have to use it), but that's peace of mind if the stick gets lost. Overall, it's a good product - for a great price (I got it for way less that the list... during the Christmas promotion).

I am satisfied with the overall solid feel of the titanium casing but the backup software really slows down the device. It takes some time to connect to the PC and in some instances, the backup service would not work on a public pc like at my University. In fact, sometimes the drive was not accessable at all and when it is, I makes you wait an unreasonable amount of time before you can remove it and go on your way as the backup service is slow to upload the backed-up files. I have tried the backup service and when the trial period is over, I will remove the software and hopefully it will act like a normal flash drive...quick and portable. As for the boomerangit, I do not prefer to have a tag dangling off my drive which is necessary in order for the drive to be returned and all the finder has to do is delete all data on the drive and it is theirs to keep and use. I do not like to punch in a password every time I use my flash drive. Bottom line...the security features this has to offer are combersome and will most likely be disabled by the owner in order to save countless moments accessing what is supposed to be a fast, converient, versitile and portable storage device.

Excellent price. Buy.com is a real bargain on name brands. Fast shipping. Great email communication for shipping status. About the product: Titanium Plus has a tough shell. The retractable connector is great protection for transporting the stick with no worries about losing a cap however this feature also makes it difficult to connect into crowded or hard to reach USB ports. About U3: New technology, plenty of bugs to still work out. Very effective at leaving no traces on a guest computer. Free CruzerSync is ok but it is older technology. It is a good program for basic file synchronization but CruzerSync is not recommended for using to backup files. Also I do not like the online backup. You are forced to use the trial version whether you want to or not. CruzerSync is great for taking MS Outlook w/you whereever you go. Ongoing problems with ejecting the Flashdrive. Online help is very basic and not much help for the novice but tech support is great and SanDisk forums are very helpful. If you can get a great deal on the price with buy.com like I did then this stick is well worth some of the hassle and time spent on setup.

I found this flash drive durable and very promising. so far all my sandisk drives work perfect. I though the speed is awesome until i bought an 8GB Kingston micro SD card with USB adaptor which way outperform this. But overall the speed stated on it is real.

This drive is an outstanding deal as long as you are prepared for the extras and a little bit of a learning curve. Hard metal case is nice, handles most abuse. It comes with a boomerangit.com tag for lost and found situations- helps maintain anonymity with a 3rd party registry of your information. Their website/program is still in beta, expect to have patience in dealing with their website, but still worth the wait. Also comes with a 6 months free online backup of your data that works smoothly without fuss once you sign up for it as well. And comes with U3 functionality. If you are mactastic, this CAN be removed (sandisk does listen to it's users) or if you really just dont like the idea of it. After a little getting used to it, i find it really far superior to just using a flash drive... If you store mp3's, why not store winamp U3 version on the drive as well? It will keep your playlist and such on the drive for each time you open it, a simple plug and play jukebox for on the go. Email backup? Just store thunderbird U3 version on the drive and use it to check email on the go, that way you also have all your files accessable offline on any modern windows system! Want to leave near zero footprint on browsing? Install your browser on your drive and run from there, chrome and firefox both have U3 versions. Just takes some getting accustomed to doing things differently. Very good price considering all of that.

After formatting the flash drive to get rid of the built-in software and encryption, I got very fast read/write times with it. For a single 475MB file, I got an upload speed of 8.5 MB/sec and download speed of 24 MB/sec.

It is very nice! In my opinion, Sandisk makes the best! The only thing I found it was missing is the cruzersync. I use cruzersync between the office and home. So I was little disappointed.
