2 of 5 Flimsy and faulty Thursday, May 01, 2008 Vista from New York, ny
Feels very flimsy to handle and readyboost crashes my vista computer every now and then. I bought this for readyboost so I am very dissatisfied. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product Monday, April 28, 2008 Princetta from Sneads Ferry,NC
It's great in all but one thing you have to eject it were with others you just pull it out and go. But not a problem once you get use to doing it. I love mine. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great once you trash the "extras" Monday, April 28, 2008 SamR from Parker, CO
Plug it in; turn off the U3; trash the U3 and "ready boost" junk.
Eject it and plug it in again. Then it just works.
I've carried one of these in my pocket for nearly a year. I've used it with Mac OSX, Win2K, and WinXP. It still just works, so now I've bought two more.
The retracting plug means no more lost caps. Make sure it's extended all the way (and clicks), and it won't retract when trying to plug it in. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Another great sandisk product Monday, April 14, 2008 A Customer from Hamer, Idaho
This is my third Sandisk drive and I have had not problems with any of them. This one is larger than the two previous. I don't use the U3 capability, but it is not a problem to use it as it is. I like how the USB connector is withdrawn into the drive when not in use. I may not keep it as clean as a cap would, but I don't loose it either. Buy.com provides a great price and great service. I wasn't sure if I would notice an difference with the speed. My ACER with Vista is so slow even with 2 GB memory. Adding this dramatically increased the response time of my laptop. It's so versatile an I can use it on any computer especially those with Vista. I plan on purchasing more for my other laptops. It's also much cheaper than purchasing additional memory. I bought this flash drive to go with my new 10 inch digital picture frame. I put about 100+ pictures on it, got it to work, plugged it in and it didn't work. I tried about a 1/2 dozen troubleshooting steps like removing it, powering off the picture frame, formating the flash drive etc and it still wouldn't work. I decided to google this and found out that the majority of new technology out there with a USB port that can accept a flash drive, this flash drive is not compatible. I don't think it is just this flash drive but pretty much any of the latest and greatest ones to be more precise. Was this review helpful?

This thumb drive comes pre-loaded with U3 software, which might be useful if you use the drive as your main base of operations on the road, but it has to load the U3 system on each computer you plug the drive into, and caused the drive to be inoperable on my laptop. Sandisk says this is because several common programs (like versions of Nero and Easy CD creator) conflict with U3, and cause it to hang. I decided to uninstall the U3 system, which I could do from another computer that recognized the drive. After that, it just worked. Was this review helpful?

With our world security issues these days, we can't be too careful with our personal information. This tiny little thing makes transporting our "life history and records" far more secure by having it on our person and in our possession at all times during travel. I won't even try to expound on the amount of information you can carry with you either....you could actually compose and stow an entire book on this fantastic
"chip." How much better could it get? On top of that, you're dealing with one of the best on-line distributors! Was this review helpful?

This is the 2nd SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Micro USB 2.0 that I have bought. Both have worked excellent in the ways I planned plus a few extra tasks of moving files I had not even seen comming.
>>>
The sliding function us a good design, but some users may find that it tries to slide close during insertion depending on the angle you are working from and how good of a grip you can manage.
>>>
The only minus from an "A" mark is the Ready Boost was never needed and got in the way, taking up room on the USB. I finally got it erased by using a Mac Intel computer by unlocking the file, then it could be deleted.
>>>
All-in-all I would buy again and would recommend this to others. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Quality product & good value! Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Todd from Eastern, NC
I have used a lot of San Disk products in the past and this one stands true to form. This is a quality drive that's smaller than a stick of gum without the USB extension out. I've been using this drive strictly for Vista Ultimate Ready Boost feature. I already have 2 GB of RAM so I haven't noticed mush improvement in performance. This is a solid drive that will, no doubt, last for years to come. Don't hesitate to purchase this one, it's well worth the price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 4 Gb Cruzer Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Jeff from Colorado
This device is fast. I like the interface and especially when using it with Windows. It is disapointing to not have a unique interface when using the Cruzer with Mac OSX nevertheless it operates flawlessly.
The package is efficient: (i) protects the connector by retrieving it into the body and (ii) highly visible light showing its status.
Overall, this is an excellent product well worth the price. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 First Time OK with Vista Ready Boost Tuesday, November 27, 2007 A Customer from Grand Prairie, TX
I've experienced a non-accept message with other USB Stick Drives when trying to use Vista's Ready Boost. This unit worked the first time out of the box. Well constructed. No defects. I kinda like the bright orange glow it gives off when working. It's bright enough to see the cables behind my PC! Was this review helpful?

When I bought this USB drive it had the U3 software on it, yes, it was annoying. I can imagine it would be nice if you want to be able to use programs from a flash drive and have them retain settings or something, but otherwise it's just a pain - the fact that it mounts a CD is stupid. Just use the U3 software itself to have it remove the software (and the partition - important for being able to utilize all of the space on the drive of course). It's actually a very simple procedure. When that's done, enjoy your 4GB of clutter free storage. Was this review helpful?

This is the best way to store photos and all important documents. Saves space on your hard drive and is more convenient that cds. The price was unbeatable too. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sandisk Micro Cruzer 4GB Saturday, August 11, 2007 Mark from Birmingham, Al
I have owned many flash drives of this type but this one is the best and easiest to use that I have owned. 4 GB for this price is awesome and the retracting feature is slick and easy. I bought two just to have a spare. Was this review helpful?
