4 of 5 Great Price on Sale Monday, September 08, 2008 bubbleman from Stafford,
Don't like the U3, so I scrapped the U3 software. A fast, compact drive without a cap to lose. Recommended. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Flash Drive Tuesday, September 02, 2008 Ed from Anaheim Hills, CA
Great little flash drive.. easy to use.. fast.. has all the extras.. AND it has the Ready Boost feature. Ready Boost is suppose to speed up Vista by taking advantage of the flash memory. There are doubters but it really seems to work for me. I used a 2GB Ready Boost drive on my 2GB tablet and it seemed to be noticably faster. I bought this 4GB drive for my 4GB laptop and again.. it seems to make the applications run faster. I am sold!
At this price it well worth the try and I get a great flash drive besides. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Wait for the sale.... Friday, August 22, 2008 A Customer from Chicopee, MA
Product review:
4GB is a good size, I ran out of space surprisingly quickly on a 2GB drive. You don't realize how much junk you've downloaded until you don't have hundreds of gigs to store it on lol.
The slidy thing is a major pain. Not all USB ports are located in areas with plenty of room on both sides for your hand. Plus, some USB ports are stacked one on top of another (my desktop's front ports). Should the slidy thing be towards another USB device, you physically cannot hold it while you plug in the drive.
A lock that you can press to release the slidy thing is the solution, but they haven't thought of it I guess.
Speed- it's not speedy compared to my other 4GB, a Corsair Flash Voyager. Even bringing up 1 text-only HTML page stored on the drives (it's a homemade dashboard for my file system) is noticeably quicker on the Corsair than on these.

5 of 5 Awesome Buy Friday, August 22, 2008 mKool from Centreville, Virginia
I'm a college student and I got this 4GB flash drive w/ free shipping. This flash drive is awesome in design and functionality...I mainly use it to transfer documents, music and videos from one computer to another, and it does its job very quickly. And even though it's made from plastic, it's extremely sturdy. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 no more looking for the cap Wednesday, August 20, 2008 ram kumar from maryland
I am happy with the drive the only thing is that it starts the U3 sandisk software and it is sometimes a bit irritating when it prevents you from ejecting or safely removing the USB drive otherwise it is great Was this review helpful?

The price was great, but it came loaded with pre-installed software I don't believe we all need. It does have password protection that's a plus. But I would prefer to have the memory space rather than Skype, Games and other add ons. This drive is set up similar to Old PC's to me, the way you access your loaded information. I wouldn't buy this jump drive again, but I will use it. C++++ Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Deal! Wednesday, August 20, 2008 mhendryx@watsonrealtycorp.com from St. Augustine, FL
As always, I am pleased with this Sandisk purchase. The U3 application is there to use if you choose. If not, don't! Much more that a storage device! Also, there is no cap to lose or deal with. At this price, how can you go wrong. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Easy to use Wednesday, August 20, 2008 Jacob from Stillwater, OK
This is my first flash drive and I love being able to just stick it in a USB port and bam, instant access to my files. The U3 program is a little bit annoying, but it's ok. Overall it is an AMAZING product and very much worth it. Was this review helpful?

Easy to use. "Clicks" and stays exposed. Feels fairly sturdy. No complaints about speed here. I didn't like the U3 system but it's easily removable. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Fast and affordable. Tuesday, August 19, 2008 AP from Chicago, IL
Not the fastest flash drive out there, but well worth the price! If you're planning on constantly loading and unloading huge files, look for something faster, but for normal usage and occasional media files transfers, this is the one! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice School Drive Tuesday, August 19, 2008 Brian from Allen, TX
The kids needed drives for school. With no removable cap to lose, this was a easy choice to make. Works well, attaches to their key chains so it will not get lost. I removed the U3/ready boost. The drives work great. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The only brand/style I buy! Tuesday, August 19, 2008 A Customer from Middletown, RI
After losing caps from other brands, and feeling that other brands were so much slower in transfer, these are the only brand and style of memory thumb drives I will buy. Was this review helpful?

It does not work on my work network PC, as it trying to allocate the spare drive letter and not able to do it as many already in use. It advises to disconnect one of the network drive to continue. It is a hassles and you must have administrative authority to do so. So I can't use it for transfers between my home ( where it does work) and my work PC. It is useless for me.

2 of 5 ReadyBoost crash Monday, August 18, 2008 George from Coatesville
I purchased 2 of these units for the Vista readyboost feature. While they worked flawlessly for about 6 months, the one on my server locked the unit so it would not boot up. After I found the problem being the cruzer, I tried to format it and use it for storage and it could not be recognized. Three months later the other one failed as well. I wold not reccommend this brand due to a 100% failure rate. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Small, cheap and no cap Monday, August 18, 2008 A Customer from Dayont, OH

5 of 5 Good Product Monday, August 18, 2008 Saravana from winston salem,NC
I already have a Sandisk 8GB drive and it works fine. So when there was a good deal on the 4GB drive i could not resist and ordered. The shipping was prompt from Buy.com and the product works fine out of the box. The retractable design is nice once you get a hang of it. Overall good product Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Body looks flimsy but works great Monday, August 18, 2008 A Customer from Lexington, Kentucky
The flash drive is extremely good for the capacity and quick response time. The body of the flash drive is little flimpsy. Nice and compact to fit key chain. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Retractable Inconvenience Monday, August 18, 2008 A Customer from Virginia Beach, Virginia
It was relatively easy to remove the preinstalled U3 Smart technology after finding the uninstaller on U3's website. I have been very happy with the drive.
The only downside is the retractable piece. It is obvious this is part of the drive when purchased. However I did not realize that when you hold the drive normally to push it in, the usb part retracts! You have to gingerly hold the drive at the very end or on the sides to insert the drive. I now know that I prefer the USB drives without the retractable piece. Was this review helpful?
