5 of 5 The "Clip" is small, easy to operate, an Saturday, January 03, 2009 Dave from Alexandria, VA
I bought the "Clip" for my wife and she really likes it. The "Clip" is really small and does not have an SD micro expansion slot but with 2GB of storage, you can store a large amount of music or a book. That appears to be the only limitation compared to my Sansa 250. The "Clip" does not have a proprietary cord for for downloading and charging which is a plus compared to my 250.
Buy.com demonstrated Excellent Customer Service in working to resolve an issue when FedEx delivery lost the package on the delivery truck. Buy.com promptly sent another unit to address the issue. Ultimately, FedEx found and delivered the package and Buy.com made the return process of the replacement unit very easy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wonderful Christmas Present Tuesday, December 30, 2008 A Customer from Keizer, Oregon
I really like my SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 player. Its great to also be able to listen to my favorite radio stations as well. I like that it categorized my music, it makes it easier to pick exactly what I want to hear. It is super easy to use. I Love it! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good product at great price Monday, December 29, 2008 A Customer from San Diego, Ca
Had slight trouble the first time connecting to the computer. The two devices did not recognize each other. But beyond that, it has been working as expected. It's very simple and compact, for a great price. We haven't had it that long, but so far so good. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great. arrived fast and great value Sunday, December 28, 2008 Craig from Austin, TX
Overall very pleased with the time of delivery, functionality and price. Gift for the wife for working out at the gym and she loves it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Wish I could buy one for all my friends. Tuesday, December 23, 2008 A Customer from Cincinnati, Ohio
This little player is awesome! My husband and I have always used Creative Muvo's in the past but I hated scrolling endlessly to find a song, etc. The clip is very handy and sturdy. If you don't already have a player with similar features, buy one now! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Very tiny and easy to use Monday, December 22, 2008 Ning from Burlington, NJ
I bought this player for my wife. Considering she is not very good at reading or understanding any electronics, I think that she really likes the player since it is so easy to use. She enjoys the sound quality and interface. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great value, easy to use, good quality!!! Monday, December 15, 2008 A Customer from Oklahoma City, OK
I am very happy with my Sansa clip. I have never owned any kind of ipod or mp3 player because I wasn't sure if I would use often enough to justify the price. At $29.99 and free shipping, the Clip was perfect for me and I love it. Simple to use and I am totally happy with the Clip and accessories it came with. As a beginner in using this technology and downloading music, etc., I can highly recommend it to others.
Great gift for teenager or college student!!!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great MP-3 for all Monday, December 08, 2008 Allen from Sonoma, CA
Great features and great performance. Bookmarking works well on podcasts and audio books, so it is easy to switch to music or FM and then resume your book where you left off. Excellent value, outstanding sound quality, and easy to use. I bought one, we bought one for my wife, and have now bought a third Sansa Clip for a friend. Buy one, you won't regret it! 5 of 5 Excellent product for the price Monday, December 01, 2008 A Customer from Piscataway, NJ
Bought this for running/working out and couldn't be happier. The player is very small and light and the clip is quite sturdy. Sound quality is good enough for listening to tunes while working out, and the controls are easy to use, even while in motion. The only thing that could be improved is the battery life, which is so-so. Overall a great product, especially for the $30 I paid for it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Thid player rocks! Monday, December 01, 2008 Demetermaid from Silver Spring, MD
It's small, light and I've had mine for two years now without a single problem. The only downside is the 2GB capacity which means you need to choose the contents carefully. I put a clear silicone case on mine and attached a lanyard and was good to go. Great little MP3 player! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best $30 I've ever spent Sunday, October 12, 2008 A Customer from Shallowater, TX
If you're looking for a really portable, reliable, good sounding mp3 player, then look no further. I've owned 7 other mp3 players, all of which cost more than this one, and the Clip definitely gives the most bang for the buck. The sound quality is really good when used with after-market headphones, the player has a good display, and a handy clip for hanging on my shirt. I bought this mostly for listening to audiobooks and podcasts, once I found out that the latest firmware included automatic bookmarking for both, and it works wonderfully. But you music lovers will be pleased too, it sounds great for music and now even Ogg Vorbis is supported ( I tested it). The included earbuds lose too much sound as they don't fit snug in my ears, but earbuds with players are rarely very good. Great player. The Clip in its various sizes and colors goes on sale frequently, so if you can be patient, you should get as good a buy as I did in August right here. An 8gb version is supposed to be in the works for those who need more than 1,2 or 4gb versions already in stores. Great birthday and Christmas gift! Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Nice product for the price Monday, October 06, 2008 A Customer from Clinton Township, MI
For the price and compact size this is a hard unit to beat. I use it at the gym and cannot even tell it is attached to my body. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Super! Thursday, September 25, 2008 Debs from Cupertino, CA
I don't think I can give this little beauty enough praise. I bought the 2GB version on sale at buy.com for $29.99 and was so thrilled that the next week when the 4GB version was available on sale for $49.99 I got one of those as well. You cannot beat the price performance. The sound quality is excellent (and I consider myself quite an audiophile). The feature set is everything you could ask for. AND to top it off, it is MAC friendly!!!!! I am REALLY well pleased with both purchases. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 So light and small Thursday, September 11, 2008 Joe from Falls Church VA
Great little MP3 player. Had to upgrade to the new firmware as I got a problem with the database updating. All I had to do was copy a .bin file to the root of the clip and it updated. Uses a standard mini-USB cable to charge and copy files. I can even use my Blackberry or Motorola charger with it. For $30 it was a no-brainer. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good value for the money Tuesday, September 09, 2008 A Customer from Munster, IN
I'm not very gadget savvy, but it was relatively easy to learn to use. I'm still discovering new things I can do with it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 This Is A Fun Product! Tuesday, September 09, 2008 A Customer from Puyallup WA
For the money, you can't go wrong. One of the neatest features is the voice recording where I can record songs off the built in FM band or dictate memo's to myself or record a speech from TV or a live speaker. And the incredibly small size for all the features of this dynamic product is beyond imagination as it fits into the palm of my hand and becomes invisible when I close my hand over it. Buy it...you'll like it! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great MP3 player, easy to use Tuesday, September 09, 2008 A Customer from Goshen, IN
Had been wanting an mp3 player for a while, but didn't want to spend a whole lot of money on one. The Sansa Clip came up on Buy.com as a daily special, and after reading the good reviews I decided to purchase. Very pleased with the player, love the fact it has a built in FM tuner. Great value! 5 of 5 Great product, great price Tuesday, September 09, 2008 Chris from Utah
I bought this little gem when it was on sale for 39.00 and have been very happy with it. It is easy to use and doesn't take up a lot of room. I don't know why I spent all that money on an Ipod when this is all I needed. The best thing is you get a radio, recorder and your dowloaded music in a nice little package. The only problem I had was when I turned it on it was in Arabic or some other middle eastern language. I had to consult the online manual to get it back to English. I would buy another if it was back on sale. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Amazing sound-great design Monday, September 08, 2008 Richard from Flintville, TN
CNET liked it and so did their readers! The sound coming out of this little unit is really amazing and loud. It is small and yet the electronic display is more than adequate & informative. For $30 you get to load 450+ songs and it has 14 to 15 hours per charge. Very easy to load songs by copying files directly. I already have a 30GB Ipod and an 8GB Nano, but I just couldn't resist this little guy for $30 + tax and it certainly hasn't disappointed. Just hope I don't lose it!! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Little Player! Monday, September 08, 2008 Lewis from Charlotte, NC
Originally bought the Sansa E250 for my wife to wear while she was working out, but the arm band is huge and aggravating. So I bought this little guy for her and she loves it! Clips on to her sports top and doesn't weigh anything! The sound is crisp and clear and the color is snazzy! I'd recommend it to anyone. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 My first MP3 player and I love it! Monday, September 08, 2008 A Customer from Vestal, New York
I researched MP3 players for a few months, so when I saw the deal that BUY.COM had, I couldn't resist. It's much smaller than I thought (about 1 1/2 by 2 inches), but the sound is great. The screen is big enough and bright enough for me to easily read. It's directions are intuitive enough that I really didn't have to read through the manual (although I found a sleep function that turns it off so I don't waste battery life if listening in bed - doesn't bother my husband that way). Recharges from USB port on my computer. The battery picture continually flashes when plugged in, so I'm not sure how long it takes to charge, but it didn't seem to be more than an hour. 4 of 5 Great portable, with only a couple of issues Monday, September 08, 2008 Anthony from Franklin, TN
I got this device because I've been wanting a "Plays For Sure" compatible player for some time. I specifically chose the Clip because of recent updates to the firmware regarding its treatment of audiobooks (specifically NetLibrary and Overdrive audiobooks). It is also compatible with SpiralFrog free music service, and, of course, Buy.com's downloadable music (WMA) files.<br>
<br>
While I am easily satisfied by the Clip's performance, there have been a couple of issues. Since I use it on both a Mac and Windows, it has to flip back and forth between MSC (disk mode) and MTP (Windows Media Player Device) mode, and somehow it lost almost 1GB of memory (easily rectified by reformatting the device, but still a pain).<br>
<br>
The only other real issue is that (for NetLibrary and Overdrive files) you must reset the genre to "Audiobook", and often add track numbers to the file meta-tags.<br>
<br>
Beyond these two issues the player works great, and sounds good. I like the much smaller size, and although the interface takes a little getting used to (coming from an iPod background), everything is easy to get to, and works well with the screen (which is bright and easy to see). It would be nice to have expandable memory, but I knew when I bought it that was a limitation, and 2GB is generally enough for carrying around your current favorites.<br>
<br>
I can safely and easily recommend this player to anyone looking for a simple, portable player. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Little Player for the Money Monday, September 08, 2008 Sandy from Austin, TX
I bought this player on a lark because Buy.com was running a special on it. Once I received it, I had no trouble loading music on it and using it for the first week. I then had an issue where it was telling me my "subscriptions" for songs were expired and it would not play any music. To make a long story short, something became corrupted and I needed to update the firmware to the latest rev as well as reformat the player memory and reload the music. Not the biggest deal, but somewhat of a pain in the butt. Since then the player has worked flawlessly. The music sounds great. The FM radio is quite good. And, the battery life is quite long. No complaints. If you get it, make sure to update the firmware from Sandisk's site immediately and I bet you won't experience my problem. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Not good for working out Monday, September 08, 2008 A Customer from Boston, MA
First the good news - the device is extremely easy to use. Copying over files and charging via the provided USB cable is a snap, there is no need to install any additional software. Now the bad news - it's not meant for people who sweat. I used mine once for a 50min run on a humid day and it stopped working before I finished. My guess is that the humidity or possibly my sweat damaged the device. I have to say I was not very pleased with the sound quality as well - my iPod Nano sounded much better using the same set of earphones. Mine failed after the 14day return window with Buy.com so I am out of luck. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Value Monday, September 08, 2008 A Customer from Iron Mountain, Mi.
I sent it on to friend for a gift and I haven't heard back from them at this time. We already had to Sansa MP3 players and they all were great units. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Nice unit, GREAT value! Monday, September 08, 2008 A Customer from Cape Cod, Massachusetts
I purchased 3 of these at BestBuy last year on black Friday at the rediculous price of $35.00 each. I was looking at the Apple Shuffle (which at the time only came in the 1Gb size and was about $89.) it was a no brainer, name brand, FM tuner (shuffle still doesn't have one) twice the capacity and voice recorder for less than half the price. Also, I DO NOT LIKE how Apple converts mp3 files into their own proprietary file type. This player couldn't be any easier to use and add music.
When I recently saw these on sale at buy.com for $29. I grabbed a couple more to give as gifts. BTW, my own unit died (I think a drop of sweat hit it at the gym). I sent it back to Sandisk and they sent me a brand new (not refurbished) player. Excellent company to do business with. Lastly, I gave it 4 stars for performance because the FM tuner isd a little weak (although I've only rarely used it). Hope that helps! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product, Great Price Monday, September 08, 2008 Andrea from Albany, NY
I've only had this device for a couple of weeks. But it has survived being dropped and kicked around at the gym quite well. The sound is more than adequate! It records well and holds plenty of music for me to rotate my workouts.
My only complaint is that I bought the Red 2GB model and then 10 days later, the silver 4GB went on sale for even less money. Ah well, you live & learn. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good mp3 player Saturday, September 06, 2008 A Customer from columbus OH
I have read very good reviews about this mp3 player before buying it. After using it for about 15 days I am happy with the purchase.
Pros: looks and feels excellent, lots of good features and design. sound quality is good (may I need a better earphone to get the best sound). The display is good and bright.
Cons: buttons click a little too loud for my comfort. creating playlist is a hassle without windows media player 11. I could not find a way to play the music by folders, they were all sorted and played by author or album name. The device has frozen on a few occasions because it could not play a certain mp3 file. The battery charge indicator is sometimes confusing. I made a mistake of not charging the battery to full before using for first time (nothing mentioned in the quick guide). So I dont get the 15 hours battery life, but it is pretty decent.
Still I would say this is one of the best mp3 players available in the market currently. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 It is perfect Saturday, September 06, 2008 A Customer from Bothell, Washington
It is small, versatile and excellent in any way. It never failed my expectations to its functionalities. I am surprised that it works so well. Since I am also an IPod owner, I have to say it works better than IPod due to its additional functionalities: FM radio and voice recorder. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Handy clip-on! Why didn't anyone else think of thi Saturday, September 06, 2008 A Customer from Seattle, WA
This is by far the handiest little mp3 player on the market. The clip-on is so simple, so handy, lightweight and small. No need to buy any add-on cases, armbands or other carrying devices. I travel a lot and this is so much easier than lugging around an iPod or other bulkier player. The 2 Gb size is plenty big enough for multiple audio books plus some music.
The only downside are the menus are a little difficult to navigate. I had a hard time figuring out how to delete a folder. There is an annoying marketing ploy with Rhapsody and Audible - they make it appear you have to us Rhapsody and the "audiobook" folder is ONLY for books purchased from the Audible service. Just disregard that.
Overall, I am extremely happy with this little device. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love it Saturday, September 06, 2008 A Customer from Seattle, WA
This little player is awesome! It is very user friendly. Uploading was easy. Sound is wonderful. The FM tuner function is a great bonus as I want't looking for that when shopping. The battery lasts longer than I expected and it is so light and convenient. Perfect for that morning run! Now I use it not just for the run but all the time.
I couldn't be happier with it! Great little player and a great value! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 iPod like without iPod price! Saturday, September 06, 2008 A Customer from Illinois
I've owned five Sansa models and they were great but "functional" looking. This cute little model has the same capacity for holding songs and battery life. Five stars Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Great Product Sunday, August 31, 2008 A Customer from Greenville, SC
The clip is an amazing product overall. It's small and light as feather. Gives great audio quality and works well with my z2300 and car audio system. The display is a very handy feature in addition to FM and recording.
I had problems getting my pc to recognize it. It works very well with WMP 10. But, If you dont have WMP10 hold the center button while plugging it in. It will show up as 'F' drive on your computer.
The other problem I experienced with the player was that the battery would self-discharge in 2 days even if left unused. I had to upgrade to latest firmware, completely discharge the battery once and then had to charge it using power adapter. (The battery charge doesnt work well with the front USB ports).
I had to go through lot of searching to get these problems fixed. It would of great help if these instructions/troubleshooting steps are introduced in the user manual. In all, very happy with the product. Great player, good price.

5 of 5 Can't beat this for the price! Saturday, August 23, 2008 DJ from Tennessee
This is a great little lightweight player and the radio is a welcome asset. Clip it to you hat, shirt, or pants pocket and go. By converting your music files to WMA format 96 kbps you it will hold about 650-700 average length songs. I currently have 341 of my all time favorites and it isn't even half full. Kudos to Sandisk for using the standard mini USB plug on this player. The only con I can find is that it doesn't have a user replaceable battery as many Sandisk players do, but for the price it doesn't matter. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 One is Good, Two is Better Wednesday, July 16, 2008 A Customer from Andover, Ks
Great player, so, since I loose stuff I purchased two. One for in the auto while the better half is in the store and one on the night stand. MP3 books on CD fit on the clip with no problem. Has the best sound of any of the small players I've had. Long story short... Great Value All Around! Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Compact, lightweight and easy to use Tuesday, June 03, 2008 A Customer from Los Angeles, Ca.
Excellent product for the price. Easy to transfer music, easy to navigate screen and nice sound. My only reservation is the lack of a built in music volume controller to automatically adjust the music volume as the music selection changes.
So lightweight, can fall on the floor and no damage. Clips to the belt with the built in clip. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great little player Sunday, May 04, 2008 A Customer from Denver Colorado

5 of 5 Great Device Sunday, February 24, 2008 A Customer from Seattle, WA
Small, inexpensive, it just works, charges with usb, good capacity (I have 7+ hours of audiobooks and 200+ songs on mine), fast syncing with windows, and reasonable battery life. The voice recording capability is good and the fm tuner is superb. The audio quality is also good and the included headphones tend to tangle in my pocket less than other models. The display is sharp and workds well. The menus are also pretty good. I'm very pleased with my purchase. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great features and value, yet powerful Saturday, February 09, 2008 A Customer from Sacramento, CA
I gave this as a gift to my wife. She had been looking at an Ipod, however when I compared features the Sandisk clip has it all. 2gb memory,FM tuner, and voice record were perfect for singing practice and recreational workout use. The internal rechargable battery is long lasting and convenient. I plugged in the USB cable provided and my computer recognized it and charged. The menu is big enough and bright enough, easy to use. Sound quality and volume are very good. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Sansa Clip Rocks! Sunday, January 13, 2008 A Customer from Cleveland, OH
The Sansa Clip rocks! This is one of the greatest all-time gadgets in electronics! The display is great... the FM reception is great! Haven't tried the earbuds -- instead using J-Buds purchased at Amazon.com (another great item and value). About the only (minor) complaint I have is a design flaw that places the Up Volume button too close to the headset plug making it a little difficult to adjust the volume. But I can definitely live with that. Was this review helpful?
