5 of 5 Fast cards are worth it! Monday, July 14, 2008 A Customer from Ponca City, OK
This is the first "fast" card I have bought for a camera, and have been very impressed. I had always had the cheapest SD cards for my camera in the past, but when I stepped up to an 8MP camera, I went ahead and purchased the 2GB Xtreme3 card. The data transfer while taking pics is instantaneous! No lag between shots like I had experienced with the cheap, slow cards. I would highly recommend this card! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Good Product Tuesday, April 08, 2008 A Customer from Hoover, Alabama
Have used a few times since purchase and seems to do what I bought it for. Have used other sandisk products and so far have been pleased. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A bit pricy but well worth it Tuesday, January 01, 2008 A Customer from Watertown MA
This SD card is purchased for high performance digital camera use and it does a really good job on writing data and transfering to other devices. A bit pricy compared with other 2GB SD card but well worth it if you need high performance. Was this review helpful?

i have both the 2GB and the 4GB and both perform flawlessly. the speed provided by the Extreme III allows for continous shooting with a 10 megapixel camera set for minimum compression or when using the movie mode at 640x480 @ 30 frames/sec. Was this review helpful?

I am not using the Extreme III as a camera card. I came to the conclusion that this is the fastest SD card that I could find to use as a Speedboost drive for my laptop vs. a flashdrive. After busting multiple flashdrives, I determined that the only rational safe way to use Microsoft's Speedboost (Microsoft's Vista) on a laptop is with a SD card. I spent weeks reviewing different SD cards and looking at ratings/transfer rates, etc. before settling on this particular card. I did some apples to apples comparisons on my flash drives and my wife's camera card. I have had issues with getting other SD cards and Flashdrives to work with Speedboost but this one worked right out of the box. I did experiment with Fat32, NTFS, Fat, and size of format to see if I could notice any speed difference. It seems to work best using Fat32 with default settings.
I must say that I am quite pleased with it's performance. It has significantly increased my laptop's performance while running multiple apps, helped stability and has also shortened load times easily by four times vs. not using a Speedboost drive.
My laptop is running a dual-core 2.0Ghz T7300 with 2GB of Ram and Microsoft Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Works as it should...most of the time Wednesday, November 28, 2007 JoeyG from Las vegas, NV
I am using this in a Palm Treo 700P, and I have had an issue a few times. When I go to get data from the card, it doesn't appear that the data is on the card. The card shows as installed, but no data. Once I take the card out and reinsert it, it works fine. This has happened about 3-5 times, but I'm not sure if the issue is with the phone or card. When the card is performing, it works well and it has fast read/write times. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Memory Card Thursday, June 21, 2007 rnt2000 from NY
This card is fast and does what it is supposed to do. I use it in my Canon S3 IS and don't see any lag/delay at all. The only problem I am having at the moment is my USB multi card reader is not capable of the high speed transfer that the card can do (20mb/sec) I now need to buy a HC transfer card reader...but not a big thing. Overall I love this card. Was this review helpful?
