Beware of the program, U3, that are preloaded in these units that will upload to your computer and are time consuming and difficult to delete. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent shipping Thursday, June 04, 2009 Andy from South Orange, NJ
The product is fine, the shipping was amazing. The free "budget shipping" in this case was FedEx and it arrived two days after ordering it. Terrific! The retractable nature means there is no cap to lose. A previous one has not had problems. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Very Nice Buy! Wednesday, March 25, 2009 NMB from Upper Marlboro, MD
I like that the port is retractable, and stays hidden until you need to use it.I agree that it's a bit flimsy, but if you take care of it, you won't be disappointed. Performs well. Haven't had any problems with it so far. Was this review helpful?

I mean it works, is fast and I like the software.
WOW, it takes up 2% of drive? Big deal. If you need that 2% you need to spend more than $5.95 for a bigger drive! Was this review helpful?

I have really like this portable drive.
PROS: Good value, great performance. It move files relatively fast. Includes a key ring.
CONS: The U3 software is a waste of time just delete it and head out to portableapps.com IMHO. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Drive Saturday, March 14, 2009 iOzZy from Oneonta, NY
These drives are awesome, and even if you hate the U3 software that it comes with, you can format them so it removes that software and it operates like any other jump drive. I couldn't be happier with these drives, and what a bargain! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Very good deal Saturday, March 14, 2009 A Customer from Lenoir, NC
I have been purchasing these from Staples at a price of anywhere between $14.95 and $19.95, depending if they were on sale. I purchased mine when they were on sale from buy.com for $5.99. Great deal on a product that works well. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Backup Device Saturday, March 14, 2009 Joe from Fountain Hills, AZ
I bought three of these devices to backup the data and pictures on my computer. They work wonderfully. The USB connection slides into the device to hide. I personally prefer the caps on the USB connection, but this works fine. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Saturday, March 14, 2009 Bill from Pittsburgh, PA
Got this 2 gig flash drive from Buy.com for the special low price & free shipping offer. Works fine with both my XP and Vista machines. Minor complaint: I would prefer that the retractable feature have a "stiffer" feel & lock.

5 of 5 Great Value Saturday, March 14, 2009 Curtis from Plymouth, Indiana
These work great for taking music or picture files from one PC to another. I now have gotten 4, of these to give to other family members and they have all worked flawlessly. If you watch for them to go on sale they become a value that is really hard to beat. Was this review helpful?

A good Deal for the money, once you get rid of the U3 program and partition you have the full 2GB. Buried in the u3 folder are instructions how to delete this stuff and turn it into a standard flash drive.
Works great with both my Vista and XP machines Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Perfect little flash drive; Great with Vista, too Monday, December 08, 2008 Eric from Mercer Island, WA
If you're running Windows Vista you should use ReadyBoost to improve performance... And, to spend less than $10 to add 2GB of RAM is a no-brainer. I bought this drive, plugged it into my laptop, changed properties to use it as a ReadyBoost drive, and effectively doubled my RAM from 2 to 4GB (2 on the laptop, 2 from the Cruzer drive). I bought a second one to plug into my desktop, too. Get one - or two... Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Works good for a good price. Tuesday, August 12, 2008 Chuck from Mokelumne Hill, Ca.
Got this 2 gig jump drive from Buy.com for less than 10 bucks with free shipping. How can you complain about that? It has a simple utility to remove the SanDisk software if you don't want to use it or take up the extra space for it. I removed it as I just use this thing for critical data backup. Simple to use, just stick it in the USB port and it becomes removable drive F: (on my win 2000 machine). It's perfect for transferring files between computers too. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Monday, August 11, 2008 Molly D. from Indianapolis, IN
This Flashdrive works great, especially if you download and run the U3 removal software to get rid of that annoying LaunchPad program. It can be found on Sandisk's website. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Satisfied with the USB Drive Monday, August 11, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, IL

This is nice unit for the price. I have a tough job and I carry my sandisk everyday. This unit is tough. It has been banged around and it still works. On the down side, there was no lanyard included in the package. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Boring Sunday, August 10, 2008 Uncle Ed from Springfield MO
What can you say about a flash drive? Some computer accessories are supposed to be exciting. A game controller should be that. A flash drive should just sit there doing exactly what you ask it to do, without every letting you know it's there, unless maybe an LED flashes during a load/save. I don't WANT it to make itself known to me or require me to go to extra effort to get it to do what I want it to do. I don't want it to be exciting--lose files, save them where I can't find them, refuse to let me read my files. Boring is great in this case. I have three or four or more Cruzers and they're uniformly boring.
Oh, yes--the price on buy.com was very good and shipping was quick. That's boring, too. I like going elsewhere for the excitement in my life.

5 of 5 Great buy but... Monday, August 04, 2008 abe from Albertville, AL

5 of 5 Best USB Flash Drive Available! Friday, July 25, 2008 adamvw89 from Chesapeake Beach, Maryland
This is the best USB Drive out there. For it's relatively cheap price compared to other brands, it works as well as any. The USB port slides in and out so there is no cap to worry about losing either. I love this product. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Buy One Friday, July 25, 2008 A Customer from Chicago, IL
This is my second Cruzer, i also have a 8GB, both are fast and are used between Mac and PC, transfer times are the best i've seen, i have a drawer full of thumb drives and these are by far the best yet. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good Product, Great Price Thursday, July 24, 2008 A Customer from Yonkers, NY
I like the usb drive because it has a lot of useful software, and and can attach it to my keyring. It's rather unobtrusive. And it is retractable, so it can not be easily damaged. Overall: Good product, great price. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Extra Programs included Monday, July 21, 2008 A Customer from schaumburg, illinois
Come with a few handy programs for syncing, which I haven't tried yet. The cool activity lite is large and brite. Retractable plug doesn't offer much in dust/lint protection, though. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent bargan and solid product Monday, July 21, 2008 euicho from Maine
I've had this for a couple of weeks now and love it. I got it for the $9 deal, and it was an absolute steal at that price. Granted this isn't the fastest flash drive out there, but I haven't noticed any slowness. I uninstalled the U3 stuff after a few days of using it and finding it lacking, and opted instead for the portableapps.com suite. I take it to work with me every day and use it throughout the day. I have another Sandisk that's several years old and still runs like a champ with zero dead bits. I'd recommend this as long as the price isn't too high. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 totally worth it Monday, July 21, 2008 J from Boynton Beach, FL
I bought this on special from Buy.com. It arrived the very next day, which is always nice. I like the fact that I do not have to worry about losing the cap for this silly thing, but I do have to worry about dirt and lint and stuff getting stuck in the actual USB connector if I throw it in my pocket. You basic double-edged sword right there.
I pulled U3 off, which I used to use and love on one of my older flash drives and went with portable apps instead.
Overall, a good value for the money. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Good little drive Wednesday, July 16, 2008 Nanette from Overland Park, KS
Love the retractable feature, those caps always get lost. I also have it attached to my keychain which is a lifesaver, when I am at a public computer I am not likely to walk away without my keys. The result is that I haven't walked away without the drive. I haven't used any of the software that is included. I was a little surprised to find the stuff on there, but I guess it can be removed. Overall it's funtionality is good and it is quick. I bought this on sale and would recommend buying this when it is around $15 or less, it's a good little flash drive. Was this review helpful?

Beware folks, Sandisk has removed the lanyard from this product and many other USB drives. Without a lanyard, this product is kind of like a wristwatch without a band. Forget it. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Easy and Sturdy Tuesday, July 08, 2008 A Customer from Birmingham, AL
I bought this nice stuff 'coz I don't wanna carry a heavy external hard drive everyday. The capless feature is the greatest buzz and the primary reason for my purchase. It's easy to get plugged in onto both Windows and MAC and to carry by chaining it on your keychain.
Some tips: Quite often this item is on sale. WAIT TILL there's a deal. A $10 or below is a decent price for it. Sometimes, you can even get a deal of 4GB Cruzer Micro for around $15. Was this review helpful?

The CRUZER works great and I love the retractable feature. I recommend highly. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Retractable USB connector is great! Sunday, July 06, 2008 Hugh Catlett from Lake Placid, FL
Nothing special about the 2G RAM but the retractable connector eliminates the need for a cap that is usually lost (at least I lose them...). Overall cost vs performance is excellent.
You will need to get rid of the U3 software that is included in order to have 2G of usable memory.
Excellent buy. Was this review helpful?
