5 of 5 Works great with jabra earpiece Thursday, June 11, 2009
KBR from Yakima, WA

The first thing I noticed about this item was how tiny it was. That was awesome. The second thing that I noticed was that it wouldn't stay in my ear. I put a earpiece on it that is similar to the ones on Jabra headsets and now it works great! You can get these extra ear pieces on e-bay for a couple of bucks and I also use them to keep my i-pod head phones in my ear while I'm working or exercising. The downfall is that it took me a little while to learn not to hit the power/last dialed number button when putting the headset on or bumping it while I'm doing something or if I stick it in my pocket for a bit so that people know I'm talking to them and not on the phone. This usually results in me frantically digging for my phone to see who I'm going to be talking to in a bit. To bad that it's not a double click to call the last dialed number. That would help solve the accidental calls. Overall I'm very satisfied.

5 of 5 Like it. Saturday, August 30, 2008
A Customer from Lake Elsinore, Ca.
Overall I am very satisfied with it. I purchased it 6 weeks ago but still have not received my rebate. I called Samsung and they did say it was on the way. We'll see. The ear hook broke the first time I charged the device. The ear hook must be removed when charging. I called Samsung and they charged me $2 for a new one. I purchased two just in case. So far no problems. The sound is clear when in the car but when outside it gets a bit scratchy. People have told me that they don't even know that I'm on a bluetooth. My last device was a Motorola and it had echo problems but not this one. I would recommend this device.

1 of 5 Very disappointed Thursday, August 28, 2008
sad from Wixom, MI
This was sent to me as a replacement for my original order (a 410 headset, at a decient price with a rebate), and I am sad to say I accepted. 1. Hit power button every time I put it on/in my ear. No this isn't easy to avoid as the power button seems to make up most of the device. 2. Charging "box" didn't work every time. I have to put the headset in the charing container just right in order to make contact, and can't close the lid. 3. Everyone I spoke to while using it, said there was an echo and several times I was told that I there was static. 4. Since you have to remove the part that goes over your ear to hold it in place to charge, it will break. Mine did and the device is too bulky, heavy to stay in my ear without the over-the-ear device. VERY VERY Sad I wasted time and money on this headset. Will never ever recommend or purchase again. The company that I purchased the device from was easy to work with and offered this headset (more expensive at the time) for the same price. They let me make the decision to "upgrade" to this model. Nice CSR rep. (anyone want a charging station and headset?) Just pay for shipping.

1 of 5 This thing sucks Thursday, July 03, 2008
A Customer from Northridge, CA
The unit does not stay in your ear properly without the earloop. the loop must be removed from the unit in order to charge it. It seems to be a design error. The loop is made of cheap plastic, and broke after 2 weeks. They're cheap to replace ($1.99 from Samsung). I bought 3 additional loops, but I wish I had bought a jawbone in the first place. They claim to use a technology that reduces background noise. I'm calling BS. It may filter a light breeze or people whispering around you, but for the most part end callers can hear everything around you. You can't use this outside. If this thing falls out of your ear, it will be hard to find this thing anywhere. It's small and the light is faint. I kept it in my pocket and it kept dialing people. It's small but there seems to be a lot of design errors. Samsung usually builds a good product, but this thing sucks.

2 of 5 IT'S a DUD! Monday, June 16, 2008
A Customer from SLC, UT
Bought this for a Father's Day gift. It's so crackly you can't hear. Husband claims it's more comfortable to use, but can't stand the noise.

4 of 5 Nice product for the price but...... Sunday, June 15, 2008
A Customer from East Orange, NJ
I rate this product highly for the connection ease with my LGVX8300. It is very clear even with noise around me. The only drawback is it is small which is great but the one button to take a call also redials the last phone number. I have an older IOGear headset which works with voice activation but the Samsung doesn't have that feature with this phone. I I still like it and it is comfortable (I don't use the earhook)

3 of 5 Quirky Tech Monday, June 09, 2008
Ace from IL
None of the gels form a seal around my ear, which means there's a lot of volume lost. I put a gel from the Motorola S9 & that formed a good seal. Unfortunately now the headset doesn't stay in my ear without the earloop. Also unfortunate is that the headset doesn't fit into the case with the earloop attached. Even worse is that you can't charge it without the case! My wife says I sound like I'm calling from Mars. I expected better from a headset with noise reduction. My remedy for accidental button presses is to put it on while it's still off, then stuff the headset into my ear while I'm turning it on. I avoid touching it when it's on because something always goes wrong. I'm moving on to the Jawbone 2. I hope my hunt for a BT headset ends there.

5 of 5 Small, Light, and Clear Monday, June 09, 2008
A Customer from Philadelphia, PA
This bluetooth is the perfect size for anyone's ear and offers a very clear sound. I don't know if every headset has three different sized earpieces, but Samsung WEP models do. (My sister has the WEP200.) Another reviewer mentioned that it's easy to hit the send button on the headset when you put it in your ear. This is true, but it's also easy to avoid once you get used to it. All in all, a very hand device, especially at this price.

5 of 5 I'll buy it again! Thursday, June 05, 2008
Guillermo from Orlando, FL.
I think this is a great bluetooth. I had a Jabra before and that thing never stayed in place, nor could I hear that well. With the Samsung, it stays in place, sound is really good, it fits very comfortable. I've only had one problem with it, being that it is very small and I have big hands, it's taking me a little bit getting used to using the buttons on it. While trying to use the volume I've hung up on people. Besides that, I like it so much that I would buy another one!

1 of 5 Extremely poor usability Thursday, June 05, 2008
A reviewer from Burlington, MA
This headset had the potential to be a real winner, but the silly design renders it nearly unusable. Specifically, this headset automatically redials the last number if the main button is pressed once. This button is easy to press accidentally while affixing the headset to your ear, or even just taking it out of a shirt pocket. This one problem really eclipses any positive aspects of the headset. I can't use something that will be randomly redialing my phone without my knowledge or intention.

5 of 5 Good Bluetooth Tuesday, June 03, 2008
A Customer from Indianapolis, IN
I have a Samsung phone, and this unit seems to work better with it than the other two Motorola bluetooth pieces I have. It is very small, and is easily charged in the provided dock. I got a nice rebate on it, so the price was definetly right. Very good product, especially for the price.

4 of 5 Good but with caveats Tuesday, May 27, 2008
Cordell from Chesapeak, VA
I have owned more than 5 BT earpieces. I keep buying them hoping to find the perfect one. This comes close, but still has many drawbacks, in my opinion. The biggest complaint I have is the need to keep the charging box. You can not charge the device without it going in the box. So when I travel I must take the charger and the charging box. The next complaint I have is that while working hard, the earpiece falls out of my ear unless I use the hook. The hook is great, but it must be removed to put the earpiece in the box for charging. After doing this for two weeks, the hook broke and currently there is no replacement hooks available. According to reviews, the WEB180 (and similar) had this problem and enough complaints were received that a replacement hook is now available for that series. Perhaps Samsung will catch on and make one available for the WEP500 also. My last major complaint is how annoyingly easy it is to initiate a redial. All it takes is to press the multi-function button once to redial last number. Almost everytime I put it in my ear it does a redial. I have taken to ensuring the last number I dialed, before putting it on, is my voicemail so that I am not annoying my contacts every time I put it on. The sound quality is good both to receive and to send, though the talk time is less than advertised. I have worn it for up to 5 hours at a time and it is comfortable to wear.

3 of 5 Among the missing. Monday, May 19, 2008
mgantnier from Madawaska, ME
I own a Motorola Bluetooth Headset and bought this one expecting it to be more advanced, having better sound qualities. I found it to be about the same quality as the Motorola. I also found there is not much to hold it in the ear and lost it within 2 weeks of purchase. I didn't even notice when it fell out.

4 of 5 Very good headset for the price Monday, May 19, 2008
A Customer from Warsaw, IN
For that price, it's a great headset. The volume is plenty loud for me. I am having trouble getting it to stay in my ear well. I have that issue a lot, maybe it's my ear. The "general" button is very easy to push and redial the last number called when positioning it in your ear. Very light and TINY! The charging case is great to carry it in so it's not lost or damaged. I would not pay more than $50...I feel that's the honest value...

2 of 5 Quite disappoint Sunday, May 18, 2008
A Customer from Johns Creek, GA
I have used bluetooth for years. My best experince is still my 1st piece from Jabra (I am using). I like Samsung's style. So, I got WEP200 from eBay several months ago. It broke after two months. I heard a lot of positive improvements of WEP500. I decided to give it a try. But, I don't see any better: it's larger; my wife still complains the echo; poor connections several times (in two-week usage); the hook (yes, in package) already broke (you have to remove it to charge); too sensitive on the button but delay response - for ex, when a call in, push one time, there is no signal for a while. I push another time, then, it hangs up. Or, keep redialing the last number whenever I try to adjust the position. The only good thing is the price if I can receive the rebate later.

4 of 5 Mixed reviews Saturday, May 17, 2008
C.Clark from Atlanta, GA
This earpiece has to be one the smallest and best performing bluetooth earpieces I have ever seen. It works well in that it transmits and receives excellently. It is very clear and seems to do an extremely good job of eliminating background noise (e.g., wind, other conversations, etc.). It pairs well with my phone and I really like the functions. The issue is that given the small size of the earpiece, it has a disproportionately large multi-function button. This makes it very easy to hang up on phone calls, or to inadvertently redial calls. This has happened a lot as I have gotten used to the device. But, overall I like it a lot.

5 of 5 Very Nice! Saturday, May 17, 2008
A Customer from Las Vegas, Nevada
First the disclaimer... I bought 2 of these from buy.com with an after rebate (I have not received the rebate yet, but its only been 2 weeks). Now, The review. These things are great! My wife and I were beginning to accumulate a collection of bluetooths for our cell phones. Many were acceptably convienent but had some faults. The WEB500 (mini) has none of them. They are small and fit in the ear well. Even when they do slip from the ear canal, the "divit" of the ear lobe still holds them in the ear until they can be reposisitioned. When properly positioned, the unit will remain securely in your ear even if you shake your head from side to side. The audio is loud and clear. I have not tested a distance from the cell phone but have never had a problem connecting. The only (-) is battery life. But if you place them on the provided charger each afternoon when you arrive home from work, as we do, there is no problem. I'm sure there will be smaller, better, longer lasting produced in the near future, but for now (after rebate) I have found none to compare to the WEB500.

5 of 5 Just one glitch! Saturday, May 17, 2008
whetsell from Soldotna, AK
This headset works well except for one software issue. A single tap of the control button dials the last number dialed. It is very easy to tap that button when adjusting the ear piece. Battery life is longer than my cell phone for my usage. It also stays connected with the bluetooth. Call clarity and volumn or good. Amazingly small technology.

4 of 5 Samsung Bluetooth Saturday, May 17, 2008
kenbowes from Houston, TX
This headset works really well. The reception and output are good quality, the device is the smallest I have used. It looks good and despite the initial soreness typical of wearing something like this in a sensitive ear it is even better to have than the Motorola 700. One disadvantage is in the activation button. The deault use for the one touch button is to redial the last call you made. So, putting the device in your ear or adjusting the fit makes it all too easy to redial. If you want to make a call you must hold the button in for two seconds. Then it works as it should. If this default sequence were reversed then it would be the best headset I have tried. Works very well with my Motorola Razr phone voice activation. Overall, I am happy with this product and would recommend it.

2 of 5 So so... Saturday, May 17, 2008
A Customer from Pasadena, CA.
This one's pretty novel because it's small and has the wind-noise technology. I never really got to test the wind-noise thing because I was generally frustrated with where the button was placed. It's generally hard to get the thing into a postition where it feels right and comfortable in the ear...even with the included ear loop. And the exact spot where you place your index finger for positioning is where the main function button is...and because it has a one-push feature, every time I adjust the headset, I accidentally hit the button and end up calling the last number dialed...I was so annoyed by this function that I immediately decided not to use it...oh well...better luck next time Samsung...

Eric from Richmond
<P>Pros: <LI>light weight and small size make it comfortable to wear for long periods of time. </LI><LI>optional ear-hook adds extra stability (I was able to wear mine while biking with no fear that it would fall out) </LI><LI>clear sound and good voice quality </LI><LI>adequate range</LI> </P> Cons: <LI>this one is slightly louder than my Motorola H500 and Jabra BT 125 . . but there are still times when I wish the volume control would go up a couple more notches </LI><LI>very easy to accidentally place a call when inserting/extracting </LI><LI>to use with my Blackberry, had to turn off encryption to keep callers from complaining that voice quality was poor </LI><LI>3.5 hour talk-time is a bit low</LI> <P> Of the headsets I've owned/used (Motorola H500, BT125, Jawbone) this is by far my favorite because it's the most comfortable. </P>

5 of 5 tiny with lot of power Tuesday, May 13, 2008
A Customer from pittsburgh, pa
this is my first bluetooth headset and I am very happy with it. very tiny and has lot of power - both from a headset volume and microphone reception perspective. It took me less than 5 minutes to get used to it. I had to train myself to be careful with the call button - but that was relatively easy.

4 of 5 Great SIze - Great :Price Sunday, May 04, 2008
Mike from Lafayette, LA
Positives - Overall, and for the price, this is a great buy. I love the small foot (ear) print and after a few minutes I forget that I'm wearing it. Very light weight, ergonomically comfortable. Had no problem with it falling out once I attached the included ear hook. Negatives - Does not have enough volume for me. At times, I find that I have to push on the unit in order to get the volume where I need it. Small configuration makes it difficult for people with large hands/fingers to make adjustments using the side up/down volume button. While driving I find that I have to speak louder than normal when making a call. Overall - With the $30.00 rebate, this is a great buy even with it's shortcomings.

4 of 5 Small Wonder Friday, April 25, 2008
Sunil from Dallas, TX
A Deviation from the run of the mill around ear bluetooth. I liked it instantly. in a nut shell PROS: Small and trendy 2) ergonomic, does not hurt 3) simple to use 4) voice clarity good Cons: at times, falls off ear and liable to be lost 2) talk time less than 3.5 hours as specified, around 2.5 hrs is what I feel it is on a full charge. 3) have to take care of charger box too.
