Very nice product. So light you forget that you have it in your ear. Reception is good with very minimal tunnel effect. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Good headset for a quiet environment only Sunday, January 04, 2009 A Customer from New York, NY
This headset is made well. It is small, stylish and sits inside the ear like IEM earphones. If you like Shure or Etymotic headphones, you will like the fit.
Range is good you can use it without static anywhere in one room but it struggles a little and becomes static ridden between walls. The Jawbone and Plantronics 510 have a stronger signal.
Voice quality is excellent so long as the environment is quiet. The WEP410 does NOT employ an NOISE CANCELLATION DSP. Since the microphone is very far from your mouth. It picks up lots of extraneous noise. Forget about talking while washing dishes or using this headset in a moving car or while walking on a busy street. Your voice can not be heard clearly over even moderate ambient noise.
If you do not plan to use this in a noisy environment, it works well but lack of noise cancellation limits the usefulness of this product.

4 of 5 Great sound but, oops! I lost it! Thursday, July 17, 2008 Scott from Atlanta, GA
Unbelievably small. When I opened the box I said to myself that I'd probably lose it in a month - and I've never lost a bluetooth before. I overestimated - I lost it in a week.
I'm sure it will turn up eventually. The sound was great. It had the tendency to fall out of my ear, but it comes with 3 different sizes of ear plug, so if I ever find it again, I'll have to experiment. I'd buy it again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works great Thursday, July 10, 2008 consumer from birmingham, al
The ear bud is really convenient and the charging box doubles as a carrying case. I really like it and it was easy to setup. I'm told that I sound like I'm on a speakerphone, but everyone can hear me clearly. I find that the volume gets plenty loud enough (which I've had problems with on past ear buds). I'm very happy with my purchase and for the price you can't beat it. Was this review helpful?

this is very tiny but the comfort level is not that great. You have to stick it in your ear and i feel ackward while talking in it. I feel much better with my other bluetooth which has a clip to hang onto ear. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 GREAT PRODUCT Saturday, July 05, 2008 aaron from Des Plaines, IL
I got this headset for a great value and I couldn't be happier with the product.. It takes very little time to charge up and lasts for days.. It is very very small and fits very comfortably without the usual clips and things that goes behind your ears as with other products.. Great buy for anyone looking for a light and comfortable but powerful bluetooth headset Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 I can finally stop shopping! This one is IT. Tuesday, July 01, 2008 Renee from Haughton, LA
I can hear clearly and the folks I'm talking to can hear me. Truly hands free operation. With my old BTH, I had to press the unit against my ear to be able to hear which sucked. This one stays in my ear. That was my primary concern after reading other reviews was that it would fall out of my ear unnoticed. Not the case. With the 3 different sized ear buds, I was able to custom fit to my ear. Super lightweight and compact. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Not bad at all Tuesday, July 01, 2008 Ooffa Loofa from Phila, PA
Nice headset. Only problem that I had was that the supplied earbuds (which come in S, M, and L) did not provide the greatest fit in my ear...they did not go into the ear enough. I replaced them with some from a set of Ultimate Ears earphones and everything works great. Might just be my weird ears. Sound quality is great. A little too easy to redial but otherwise great. 4 of 5 Very good value Monday, June 30, 2008 A Customer from Glendale, CA
Pro: compact, easy to use, and works well. battery life is pretty good. good value.
Con: no ear hook, easily become loose when touching buttons; hard to grip buttons since the buttons are tiny too.
Note: didn't seem to require passcode when connecting w/ my phone, hope i didn't get a fake. Was this review helpful?
2 of 5 Real bad product Monday, June 30, 2008 Yuggi from San Jose, CA
It keeps falling off the ear, no matter which ear plug you use. sound quality ain't so good either, lots of noise..
The call button cannot be programmed and is too delicate, and often end up calling the last dialed number without your knowledge. Also a soft touch on the button will end the call.
I just want to return this one and look for another. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Might be a good product, if it stayed in your ear. Monday, June 30, 2008 Kirk from Ogden, UT
I am not sure how well this thing works becasue I never even charged the thing up. I tried it on and could not get the thing to stay in my ear. It did not matter which of the ear pieces that I used. I am frustrated that they did not provide an optional earhook for people that need them. I think my ear is pretty average, so I am sure that I am not the only one that has had this problem. My suggestion would be to go try it on in a local store before ordering it online. Was this review helpful?

1 of 5 Horrible product Saturday, June 21, 2008 Manshu from Indianapolis, IN
This thing doesn't stick in the ear at all, i've tried all three sizes but nothing works well. What is the use of good reception and sound quality if it doesn't stay inside the ear. Was this review helpful?
1 of 5 Too easy to re-dial Tuesday, April 15, 2008 Charlie from Leeds, ME
The Samsung WEP410 headset is lightweight, compact, comfortable to wear and has excellent listening sound quality, but there are some problems from my persepctive:
First, it seems too vulnerable to some kinds of interference -- people with whom I am talking will sometimes say that the sound is cutting out. I assume that radio interference must be involved, because there is no obvious environmental cause.
Second - and this may be a purely personal preference - I find the configuration of the multi-function button to be very user-unfriendly. The slightest tap will send the re-dial signal to the phone. This has resulted in a number of unintended calls, sometimes at inopportune times of the day. This would be less of a problem if I hadn't acquired habits from using a previous headset on which a long button press was used for redialing, and shorter taps were used to activate voice dialing, connect, or answer. Even allowing for this, however, I think it is a mistake to associate redialing with such a featherlight push of the button - it's just too easy to initiate a call this way when handling the headset, e.g. taking it from your pocket to put it on your ear, or vice versa (the latter being particularly annoying for the person who receives the unexpected call-back). By contrast, the press required to turn the unit on or off is absurdly long. Finally, the confirmation tones for medium-length button presses are very faint even when listening volume is quite loud - this makes it more challenging to know that you are sending your phone the signal that you intend to. The easy-redial problem has been sufficiently troublesome that I have already replaced this headset with a Jabra JX-10 series II, which behaves more like my old headset and spares those whom I call the unexpected second conversation. 3 of 5 Should be better Saturday, March 29, 2008 A Customer from Trumbull, CT
Pros: Very small, nice charger
Cons: No noise cancellation, single button always wrong.
-- I was debating between this unit and the Motorola H700, which 2 people I know have and love. I went with this one because it was in stock and I liked the compact size. Big mistake. People can easily hear every bit of background noise and they frequently ask me if I'm on a headset or speaker phone! My old H-850 was much better until my son broke it.
The other issue is the multi-purpose button. While it has discrete volume up/down buttons, the main button turns the unit on and off, redials, etc. I frequently find that I have inadvertantly placed a call when I did not mean to. I also have a hard time pressing the button for the right amount of time to initiate a voice dial instead of redial.
The flaws make it hard to recommend this headset. There are better choices out there. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Samsung WEP410 Bluetooth Headset Sunday, December 02, 2007 A Customer from California
Pro: Stylish, easy of use, clear sound, more functions, small and light, comfortable to wear.
Con: charging interface not competible even to samsung cell phone charger, mic has difficult to perform voice calling.
Overall satisfied with two months usage. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Love this unit Sunday, December 02, 2007 A Customer from OC, California
I've gone through about 4 other headsets before settling with this one. Tiny and compact. Smooth pairing and stayed paired tiwht my phone all the time, even after I turn on/off my phone or the headset, they automatically pick up each other without any problem. Liked the snap-into-ear design over those Motorola ones (H700 or H80) which use a hook to stay on.
The big answer/redial button took some time to get used to though. It's way too easy to press on it accidentally and re-dial the last dialed number. I've annoy my friends too many times by doing that during the first week of use. Then it gets better after I started to remember handling the unit by grabbing the sides rather than the surface...
Anyway, other than this annoyance, this is a perfect unit for my SonyEricsson 810i Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Good product Wednesday, November 28, 2007 A Customer from Liverpool, NY
This has a very clean and clear sound and the mic is very sensative. The only thing I don't like is it occationally falls out of my ear. I also wish it had some kind of clip to keep it in my ear, but that is also the reason I got it. I have a Jabra that feels like it will fall out unless you have it in perfectly but it has a clip so it doesn't. I got this one because the Jabra is very uncomfortable after wearing it for extended periods which this one isn't. Overall a good product. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Cant go wrong w samsung Tuesday, November 27, 2007 A Customer from Anaheim, CA
Only use when in my car, so i consider myself a light user of the BTHS. Unit lasts 3-4 days charges in about 1 hour Noise reduction works nicely, small & light.
Negatives i find are. Turning it on (5 sec) Turning it off (8 sec) of holding power button down. Could be shorter.
Volume level could be higher. i can hear fine at high speeds, but would like it louder
rubber ear pieces they give you, all of them DONT fit right. maybe i got retarded ears Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Good Headset Tuesday, November 27, 2007 A Customer from Mexico
Fantastic sound and reception. The only major drawback is the battery life of the unit. I have to charge it every day! I only talk about 90 minutes a day and I have to charge it overnight, if not it will die on me the following day. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Best Bang for the Buck Tuesday, November 27, 2007 A Customer from Collegeville, PA
I have tried many low cost headsets in the past year, and this one is the best, hands down (pun intended). I saw others complaining about the unit falling out of their ear. Mine fits well with the medium adapter, but even if it didn't, it came with a snap-on, over-the-ear clip that I could use. The thing I like best about this is the volume level. Since it seals the ear canal somewhat and gets the speaker closer to my ear drum, I can hear it very well, even over my loud Jeep at highway speeds. I have to turn it down sometimes, which never happened with any of the other units I tried. People report the sound quality is good. Sometimes I get a little static with the bluetooth connection, but moving the phone closer usually solves it. This is rare. <p>
The only problem I can report is that sometimes when I am putting it in my ear, I accidentally hit the large button. Samsung ought to consider programming this button to trigger voice dialing or something else that's harmless instead of last-number redial. I can't tell you how many times I initially did this without knowing it, either by inserting the device or just putting it in my pocket. When I realized I had done it, I had to scramble to end the call before it went through. Unable to end the call, my father heard me talking through my pocket at a yard sale one day! A minor annoyance, but one worth reporting. Because of this, I recommend keeping it in the charging cradle when not in your ear. It stays on and connected, and the cradle isn't so big that it won't fit in your pocket. One other minor thing related to the last-number redial button is that if the other person happens to end the call before you get to the button, you will redial the last number. Be careful with this.<p>
I liked this unit so much I even got one for my girlfriend. Unfortunately, one of the contacts in her charging cradle broke off and disappeared down inside. I got an RMA from Samsung directly, and in a few days a brand new one arrived. I couldn't be happier with their handling.<p>
All in all, I'd recommend this highly, at any price! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent Bluetooth headset Tuesday, November 27, 2007 A Customer from Boston, MA

2 of 5 I wasn't happy Tuesday, November 27, 2007 Bill Jastrebski from New Castle DE
I struggle with just about anything that has to go in and stay in my left ear, so I may not be a great judge in terms of that, but it didn't stay in my ear at all and fell out of the right from time to time. I was more successful in the right, but I still didn't like it as much as an over the ear piece. The main problem I had was the lack of hearing in the right ear when I had it in and not in use. I like to wear it for lengthy periods of time and it was too far in the ear and blocked my hearing when not in use. I was also disappointed in the quality of sound going out. Many told me there was a slight echo and wind noise was very bad. I could hear callers just fine. In the end, I washed it by accident because I couldn't keep it in my ear for long periods of time. It wound up in a shirt pocket and washed. Problem solved. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 this is the first headset that i actually use Tuesday, November 27, 2007 NY HandsFree LawAbider from NY, NY
i previously bought a generic brand from office depot, then a cardo scala 500. Both were unusable. then i bought this from buy com for 55 minus a 30 dollar rebate.. i thought my next headset would have to be an expensive one cuz they all seem to suk. then i read one guy's review that mentioned how well this samsung performed in his motorcycle helmet and i was impressed and took a chance. he was right. the sound is great. the controls a a bit awkward (tho i still didnt read the instructions) but the simple functions of up and down volume are straightforward. there's a mute function and a function to turn off the flashing blue light, both are some key combination i gotta look up.
my only minor gripe is that occasionally it slides out of my ear, but that could be a hygiene issue ;)
anyway, this thing is small, cool looking and works great. highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 I enjoy it Friday, October 05, 2007 A Customer from Alexandria, VA
It falls off my ear occasionally. Sound is clear, clean... no noise. It is just me; I do not wear it all the time so it is easy to fall off my pocket. I wish it came with some sort of clip.
Price (with rebate), performance.. I highly recommend. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 neat little gadget Thursday, October 04, 2007 A Customer from Redlands, CA
I have used a few of these BT headsets (Nokia and Motorola) but this is the tiniest so far. The quality of manufacturing and design are very nice. The sound quality is good too. The problem that I had with this headset is that it does not stay in my ear. I tried all the 3 plastic ear pieces that comes with it but none of them stay in place very long. The darn thing keeps popping out. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 just beautiful Monday, September 24, 2007 A Customer from NY
I got this item with the $30 rebate. The packaging gave away the superior quality of the device even before I tested it. The unit is tiny, superlight and fits snuggly in your ear (comes with diff sized ear pieces). The sound quality and reception is the best out of all the bluetooth toys I have played with over the years. It is by far worth every penny and was originally marketed for the $100 bluetooth headset segment. ENJOY! Was this review helpful?
0 of 3 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Love it! Sunday, September 23, 2007 A Customer from Centreville, VA
I didn't receive this as fast as I normally do with other items I've bought from Buy.com but I love it. I like that the earpiece fits in the ear and doesn't have a hook over (I'd recently bought a jabra and it hurt my ear); it's small and so I'm not worried that when I'm wearing it IN THE CAR for hands-free talking, other people are going to see me wearing a bluetooth headset. I can't stand the people WALKING around with this stupid thing on their ear as if they're expecting some important call that they can't use their handset or pay attention to whomever they're with at the moment. Do you have any idea how idiotic you look and what most people think of you??? Anyway, this gives me the ability to use the handsfree capability (IN THE CAR, when you actually need it) without looking like a buffoon. Sound quality is great, it looks nice and you can turn off the blinking blue "standby" light. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 4 of 5 Small, light, clear! A great headset! Monday, September 17, 2007 A Customer from NJ
I purchased this as a replacement to a Nokia headset I've had for a few years. That was an over-the-ear model, which was frequently hard to hear in moderately loud environments.
This headset is an "in the ear" model, which in my case sits in the ear canal and blocks out all ambient noise, making hearing people on the other end easy and crystal clear.
It took a bit to get used to, but after a few days I absolutely love it. At $25, you really can't beat it!
Note: This headset does NOT have an over-the-ear loop as stated in the buy.com video.
A couple cons (thereby making it a 4 instead of a 5):
- The button is extremely sensitive on the "last-number-redial" function.
- The on-headset mute function seems to distort the incoming communication. Not sure if this is this headset only, or just the way it works. Was this review helpful?
