This mode is used to select and cut desired scenes from a recorded movie, and save the scenes. The mode is very convenient because editing a movie can occur within the camera itself, immediately after recording the movie.
The high-speed continuous shooting function makes it possible to take 30 high resolution images VGA size(640x480) in one sequence.When the shutter is pressed down and held, 30 shots are taken per second. Using this function, you can analyse your golf swing, capture a race car speeding by, or study other sequences of motion.
You have a choice of scene modes to help you get the perfect shot in any situation. A special Red-eye Fix algorithm on the camera automatically eliminates red-eye from your pictures. You can remove red-eye during image payback, or for even greater convenience, set the camera to automatically detect and eliminate red-eye from your shots as they are taken.

First, Buy.com delivered the camera in 2 days! The L73 is tiny, slips easily into my pants pocket, so I have it with me all the time. Yet it is designed with a grip, shutter button and zoom lever that make one-handed shooting a breeze, with no risk of dropping the camera (at least for my small hands- I don't know if people with large hands feel the same way). The aray of choices is vast, and the smart buttons make it easy to decide on the spot. The 7mp allows me to crop freely and still get sharp prints.

My wife was looking for an affordable digital camera to take shots of the bronze sculptures she creates. Although the lens on this camera is small and doesn't let in a lot of light, it was still reasonably good at keeping noise levels down on flat backgrounds.
The touch sensitive buttons took a while to figure out, but they were cool. This camera has the easiest to navigate menus we have ever seen in a digital camera. As a late comer to the digital camera market, it is apparent that Samsung looked at what everybody else was doing and improved upon it a lot.
We are very happy with this camera even though we would have like to have purchased a SuperZoom or SLR-like camera for even higher quality. But at the price we paid, we can't complain. Was this review helpful?

Have written a review already but it appears nowhere.
Having had the camera for over a week, it does have its pitfalls but overall I am happy enough with it.
Video is pretty decent you may have to shout to be heard on audio, but its a camera not a video camera.
How you control the settings is pretty cool - takes a little time to get used to all the options.
Photo quality is now deemed to be pretty decent, I normally prefer camera camera's such as my Olympus e500 big hint here the steadier the hand the better the picture especially in low light. Its very light and I am not totally used to looking at the subject via screen (camera shake is probably not unusual in smaller cameras like this.) It has a shake sensor but have not really used that setting yet.
Overall it suits my needs fitting into my pocket,, yes it also has a voice recorder. I think the next release of this unit should have a phone or gps !!! Was this review helpful?

Good camera, lots of features. Best feature is the soft keys, the interface is unlike anything I have seen before. Possibly a steep learning curve for the interface, but once you get it, you will never go back. The interface costs about $50 (you can get similar samsung camera w/ standard interface for $50 cheaper).
I also use it as a poor man's video camera, takes good video, but sound is not good. You can still hear everything, but it is bad quality when compared to the quality of the video. Was this review helpful?
