1 of 5 Medieval torture device Wednesday, August 13, 2008
A Customer from Cincinnati, OH

That's what the headband feels like on an average size head. Worked ok if you can manage the pain, but broke very soon and I never received my rebate. There you have it. Not a good experience.

2 of 5 Average product Tuesday, August 05, 2008
Sanjay from NY, NY
Its about three months of purchase and no sign of the MIR, guess it is not coming, and for full price it is not worth it. Setup was a breeze. The quality of sound is average, has more to be desired at mid range and bass. The range sucks, sound starts cracking at a distance of 5 feet onwards, and very, repeat very uncomfortable to wear, digs behind the ear, seems it was made infant size. Not at all a value for money. The control buttons on the earphone takes some time to get used to.

5 of 5 Overall, Great Headphones Sunday, July 20, 2008
A Customer from Atlanta, Georgia
I purchased these headphones mainly because I found them for a great price after a MIR. I was immediately impressed by the flexibility of the headphone's headband, which actually ends up being placed along the back of the wearer's neck. I thought this was a must given the stories of other Bluetooth headphones that snapped down the middle after repeated use. Despite the on-line reviews that warned of how uncomfortable they were to wear over a prolonged period of time, I felt the headphones were somewhat manageable. Yes, they are not all that comfortable, and yes, they do make you look like you are wearing earmuffs (i.e., the Princess Leah effect, if you will). Nevertheless, in viewing the product as a whole, I regarded these weaknesses outweighed by the strengths of the product. I also found the Bluetooth connectivity to work well with my phone and my laptop. The bass is great and the mids/highs are good. Outside noises seem to be blocked fairly well. All in all, I am pleased with the purchase because 1) I found them for an absolute steal after MIR; 2) they sound great given their Bluetooth connectivity; 3) comfort is not of the greatest importance; 4) and I mainly wear them indoors. My parting advice would be to simply do your own research to see if these are for you.

4 of 5 Pretty Good for the price Thursday, June 19, 2008
Mark R from Smyrna, GA
Considering the price (after rebate, like $10), this is a great bargain. It was very simple to configure with both my cell phone (for both hands-free operation and playing music files) and computer (with a USB Bluetooth2.0 stick bought at the same time, also a bargain) for listening to music from the PC. Sound quality is quite acceptable (especially for MP3s!), and the headset is smart enough to easily (and automatically, except for one button touch to answer an incoming call) switch between cell and music. My only real beefs are the non-adjustable band is NOT sized for big American heads like mine, so comfort is not the best for long listening sessions, and the tiny controls are a chore to get used to; it would have been helpful for the otherwise decent manual to have drawings of EACH earpiece blown up to show control locations/functions as they are located in the on-ear position.

5 of 5 Don't know why everyone's complaining Tuesday, June 17, 2008
Snuff from Monticello, GA
I love my little headset, especially for the price that I paid for it. Even if I don't get the MIR, I think the price was good. Maybe they changed the directions, because mine were correct. I have paired it with my phone as well as my computer. Decent range, up to 30 feet in my basement before I start getting static. Batteries are awesome. Folks with odd shaped, or big heads should beware, they are not adjustable. I do wish they made this like the old style walkman headsets that fit on top of your head instead of around the back. They get uncomfortable, right behind your ears, after a couple of hours, but its tolerable for me. If you wear a headset for 12 hours a day, this is not the model for you. The mic for the phone is great also. Everyone that I have talked to said they couldn't tell I was on a headset. Stereo phone calls make it sound like the caller is in your head! I have shown these to several friends who are mad now because they're out of stock. Everyone I know who uses Bluetooth wants one.

1 of 5 Many features don't work Tuesday, June 17, 2008
vasan_vasan from Jersey City, NJ
With the mail-in-rebate price looked attractive. Sound quality is very good. But none of the features, like play/pause, rewind, fast-forward buttons, work. These features don't work with my Samsung Blackjack or with my Vista PC. And it is too hard on the ear. Another bad thing is, single tap of multi-purpose button on the headset redials. They could have done it on double-tap. Most annoying thing is, every time I turn off and turn it back on (either the phone or headset). I have to go thru' a long exercise of connecting them; it doesn't connect automatically. Previously I had owned LG HBS-200, which was excellent in all these aspects, had a great sound quality, very user-friendly, but was too fragile. It broke around the ear in less than two months. I wouldn't buy both these headsets again nor would recommend.

3 of 5 NOT BAD Totally incorrect and misleading instructi Monday, June 16, 2008
Murthy from Philadelphia
I must thank Sanjeev from Charlotte for the correct instructions how to put the headset into the PAIRING MODE-you must see solid BLUE before your pair this to any blue tooth device.I lost hopes as Samsung support is hopeless. But once paired to my MP3 player YP T10. It works great and worth for its $10 price.

4 of 5 Sound audio, sound price Monday, June 16, 2008

Easy to pair. Slightly tight fit. The best BT stereo audio I've heard to date, good separation. Average quality for phone calls. Battery lasts forever. Price w/rebate, hard to beat.

2 of 5 disappointing Monday, June 16, 2008
A Customer from raleigh nc
Not too surprised, since the headphones are cheap, but they are very disappointing. Sound quality for music is terrible - muffled sound, not clear at all. They sound worse than even the cheapest set of headphones I have ever owned over the last 20 years.

3 of 5 Samsung ASBH500, good sound, bad comfort Monday, June 16, 2008
Ward from Riva, MD
In terms of overall functionality, this is a really nice Bluetooth Stereo Headset. Simple to setup, and the fact that you have a headphone over both ears means incoming calls yield good sound quality and plenty of volume. Here's the rub, literally: These things are simply uncomfortable to wear for any amount of time. They press on the sides of your head and are particularly unpleasant if you're wearing sunglasses. If it wasn't for this issue, I'd give them a a solid 4 or 5 across the board. If possible, wear them for a few minutes before buying. Lastly, of course not all Bluetooth devices support stereo Bluetooth so do you homework.

1 of 5 problem pairing Monday, June 16, 2008

These seemed like they would be a great headset, but I cannot get them to pair with any bluetooth device, including most recent phones at a Verizon store. Not sure what is the problem, but these are a non-starter at this point...

4 of 5 Good Bluetooth Headset for MP3's Sunday, June 15, 2008
ASR from Mill Valley, CA
I've been pretty pleased with this purchase. The sound quality is clear for both listening to MP3s and having a telephone conversation. Also, the Samsung folks have cleverly put slots that slide onto the top part of one's ears to keep it stable. The only problem I've encountered with this device was in pairing it with my BlackBerry. You need to hold down the button as soon as the device is turned on. Most other Bluetooth devices do not make this demand when pairing. I bought this device for $10, net of the manufacturer's rebate, so it's hard to make any other complaints given this value proposition.

3 of 5 Good, but uncomfortable.... Sunday, June 15, 2008
A Customer from New Orleans, LA
I caught this headset at a great value so I can't complain. Setting up was a breeze. All the features work fine, decent call and music audio, pretty sturdy construction that allows the over the neck unit some room to flex. Hurts the ears after extended use, however, barring any problems with the rebate, well worth the money. If you plan on using the unit for long periods at a time, don't get this one on account of the uncomfortable way it sits around the ears... maybe its just my ears...lol.

4 of 5 Overall good but not comfortable Sunday, June 15, 2008
JoeP from Carlsbad, CA
I like this headset. The phone performance is good...callers can hear me well. The dedicated on/off switch stops the headset from being turned accidentally while in a backpack. The features are good, too. The only problem is that the headband hurts after 10-20 mins for me. I also hate the material covering the cushions...it feels hot against my ears. The only other issue is that I'd prefer to have it isolate against outside sounds better, but this is a personal preference...some people will want to hear the outside world as a safety issue, but I'd rather be able to use it in a breezy environment. I didn't look at the directions...setup was intuitive and similar to other BT devices. I would recommend this headset to someone who can try it before buying to see if it is comfortable for them.

Works flawlessly... with both my PC bluetooth and cellphone bluetooth. Although I read a review about them not fitting comfortable on your ears, I started feeling the pinch after that. I've gotten used to them and very happy now!

2 of 5 Consider Your Intended Use Sunday, June 15, 2008
John Van Derwood from AL
I ordered a pair of these headphones because I needed a wireless solution for my voice recognition program. It is a respected brand, and the price was very attractive. Unfortunately, the transmission clarity and speed of the bluetooth transmitter are not good enough for useful voice recognition. I have not tried the phones for listening to music or using the telephone; they may be fine for that. But if you want to do voice transcription with a program such as Dragon Naturally speaking, try something else!

4 of 5 good, but not for listening to music Sunday, June 15, 2008
Monte from Seattle, Washington
With the rebate, these were only $10 so definitely worth the price. PROS: Good sound quality for calls, people don't know I'm using a headset. CONS: Wifi signal in the house causes buzzing and sound quality for music is terrible. Great for the car though. Too geeky looking to wear in public.

Bought these to have headphones with Dell laptop....they are great. Easy to setup, good sound quality for what they are (not audiophile quality). Perfect for watching movie on laptop or for using at night when you don't want to disturb anyone. Have not used them with phone or any other device

4 of 5 Unable to connect - at first Sunday, June 15, 2008
A Customer from Chattanooga, TN
I was unable to connect this to my phone, my wife's phone, or several friends' phones. Multiple attempts with each device were unsuccessful. Of course the really annoying thing was that I tried for so long to connect it, I kept it past the 14 day return limit so am unable to return it to buy.com. Great. Ok, update. I just read another review and the instructions with the headset were wrong. They should have said: "You need to hold down the main button then turn on the headset. Only then will the headset go into pairing mode by maintaining a solid blue light." This worked great and all is well!

1 of 5 bad audio, poor manual Sunday, June 15, 2008
A Customer from Princeton, NJ
The audio quality is horrible, the music sounds better in the tiny speakers of my laptop. It took me one hour and an internet search to figure out how to pair with the computer. The instructions are horrible. In summary, it's only good for phone calls, but you do not need a stereo headset for that.

4 of 5 Quality product for the price Sunday, June 15, 2008
Dan from Kingston, PA
I was leery about this purchase because I felt you can't get quality for $10 (after MIR). I was wrong. Pairing the headset to my LG Voyager cell phone was a snap. The sound quality was great and the remote controls on the headset had my cell phone performing like they were made for each other. Not to mention they're very comfortable. Oh, and I found the range to be very good, also.

5 of 5 Great for the price, no regrets Sunday, June 15, 2008
qpease from Centerville, South Dakota
I have been using these bluetooth headphones almost every day for the past two weeks. The battery stays charged all day, even with high volume levels. The sound quality is great. The transmit range is also very good (50 feet or more in some cases). Only bad things are: The fit--I wish they were like regular head phones instead of resting behind the head. Next thing are the buttons--you really can't expect the buttons to be placed where you want them to be, so it takes some getting used to along with a few mistakes of restarting songs, etc. All in all, I'd recommend these for starter bluetooth headphones, you can't go wrong and you will be very please with the great sound they put out. Oh, lastly, Skype users will love these if they have bluetooth on their computer. The mic works great and the freedom you will have to walk around while talking is wonderful.

5 of 5 Great headset. Would recommend to everyone. Sunday, June 15, 2008
Abhishek from NY
I use to go for jogging with both my mobile and mp3 player, but after gettin Samsung bluetooth I dont need mp3 player as I can hook this up with my mmobile and listen to songs on my mobile's mp3 player (use 2 GB microsd card also bought from buy.com). - Sound quality is much better than mp3 player (creative). - It is very comfortable to listen to music without all the wires. - Not sure whether it has got microphone as well so as to use for making /receiving calls. Overall its great product and very much worth at the price.

3 of 5 Not bad, but directions to pair are definately wro Tuesday, June 10, 2008
Sanjeev from Charlotte
I bought this as a backup pair of headsets - I have a bluetooth headset pair from iogear that I absolutely love, and since these were up for $10 after MIR, I thought I will go for one. Up front, getting the headsets to work was a pain. Following the directions in the quick startup guide did not work. I called up Samsung support, and that was totally useless - the guy told me to contact my laptop and desktop manufacturer to get help on pairing, they can only walk me thru on how to turn on the headset - DUH! I had just about given up and decided on returning this to buy.com when I came across a review at amazon that told me the correct way to pair the device -"Unfortunately, the directions to pair the headset to another bluetooth device was incorrect. Maybe my headset had its circuitry crossed but the directions from Samsung to pair the headset was way off. You need to hold down the main button then turn on the headset. Only then will the headset go into pairing mode by maintaining a solid blue light." Well, this worked, and I have it paired now. The sound quality is good, equivalent to the iogear headset I have. I like the soft ear pads, external noise is noticeably reduced. The range though is not as great, my iogear set does a better job in that. Overall - well, for the price, buy! but careful on the instructions!!!

5 of 5 Reconnect Sunday, June 08, 2008
A Customer from Ames, IA
These work great...sound quality and ease-of-use. The only problem I have had is when I reconnect to my computer as it only reconnects with the bluetooth headset driver and not the stereo driver. You have to go back in the settings quite a ways on the computer to enable the stereo. But, this is the computer's problem, not the headset.

4 of 5 Works great, a little hard to configure, a little Friday, June 06, 2008
Mike from Kennesaw, GA
I love these because they work well and the price was incredible (if I do indeed receive my rebate). The first thing you'll read in other reviews is that they hurt your head. This is true. They rest against the little knot in your skull behind your ear and they squeeze quite tightly. I think it's going to be a matter of your anatomy - I can handle it for a couple of hours. Sound quality is clear and has good frequency range. Not as good as wired of course, but still pretty good. I can walk over 30 feet away from my laptop through 3 walls and I still get a signal with no loss of quality. I use these primarily for Skype and internet radio. Skype landliners and IP skypers both liked the quality of my voice and said it was somewhere between a good speakerphone and a regular phone. The mic quality surpised me - I didn't expect it to be usable, but it is in fact good. I recommend it - wish BUY would get more in stock because I'd buy a few.

4 of 5 Great for audio, good for calls Monday, June 02, 2008
A Customer from Arlington, VA
Very intuitive design, easy pairing with hw6515 iPaq phone. I found it comfortable to use even after a few hours of talking/listening. Stereo audio+controls worked very well with WM player and good quality base. Decent noise containment (low leakage of music). Phone calls were about average for hands-free device, but had to stay close to phone to get good reception...stereo phone calls is a neat experience. For the price, these are a steal.

2 of 5 Very uncomfortable to wear Sunday, June 01, 2008
A Customer from lv, nv
I bought this bluetooth stereo headphone for working out at the gym. Little did I know that once it arrive at my doorstep that this item will be so uncomfortable to wear behind the ear as design. The behind the ear band is so annoying it touches your neck when you kinna look up. Not to mention it pinches your ears. After a long period of time wearing them, I feel like just tossing them. Other than major design flaw by samsung, the sound quality is fair. The bass is really good and mids/highs are fairly acceptable. The other thing I forgot to mention is that the headphones are big, your like your wearing earmuffs or looking like princess Leah on star wars. The other thing is the rebate. According to Buy.com, it comes with rebate form in the package, none whatsoever. I went to print it out on their link & it only prints the instruction how to mail it. It doesn't print the actual form. So I emailed customer service & they said that they were going to send me the form via snail mail. I guess I paid for what it's worth! Probably discontinued this model as I haven't seen any of them anymore on this site.
