Samsung 923NW 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 1000:1, 5ms, 1440 x 900

My old monitor died and I needed a new one. I have samsung products so I like the quality of their equipment. I ordered the monitor but it was back ordered. Luckily I had an old monitor that worked. The unit finally came, I plugged it in and it worked from the beginning. It is very sharp and clear like all samsung products. I would highly recommend it.

It's the best for such a low price. After that I adjusted the resolution, the picture is perfect. I would buy it again and recommend it to everyone.

This replaced an Envision 17" regular monitor which was only a couple years old (I'm giving it to someone who has a 10 yo monitor). This has crisp colors, great font presentation and is very easy to use. My only issue was that it doesn't rise vertically, but that was an easy fix with my monitor stand which does rise. Overall I would recommend this especially if the rebate is still valid when you purchase it.

It works perfect! Right out of the box. Easy to hook up, great color and could not beat the price. Had it in two days with ground deliver. Would buy it again.

For $99 (after rebate) on buy.com, what can I say? It works perfectly, uses VGA connector for my older laptop, and the wide screen allows two documents to be displayed side by side for easy comparison and editing. I bought two, one for my office, and one for home.

I bought this Samsung monitor when my other monitor unexpectedly died. It was a great deal and it works great. I did need to update the driver on my video card to run in 1440 x 900 but that was a very simple process.

Great Value, when you consider no tax and free shipping, meaning no time wasted. The product works flawless. I would have preferred a monitor with speakers, but I knew it did not have them so no deductions for the lack of this feature. I was not familiar with the rectangular format, but now I can appreciate the advantages, specially when looking a two pages side by side.

I'm using the Samsung SyncMaster 923NW screen typing this right now and its an incredible screen for paying the $110 after tax and rebate. Pros: Quality is great, no dead pixels, ergonomics fit the desk well, affordability, and its a reliable brand. I think the customer service for Samsung is good too so no worries over problems with it. Cons: There is no HDMI port and some of the functions in the menu are unavailable. I wish it had a power efficiency button in the menu but that's about it.

great monitor,great price i have so much room on my desk now after upgrading from the old school monitor. doesn't hurt my eyes like my old monitor did...doesn't hum or make t he sound of cancer like my old monitor did. i paid a buck ten after the rebate for my monitor and its totally worth it. now all i have to worry about is getting my rebate it was like 140 before the rebate, if when they send it the monitor will only be like 109$ or something like that cant really beat that with a stick. great price. great monitor plug and play baby

The stand has no height adjustment but does tilt. lack of height adjustment makes it difficult to acquire a comfortable viewing position w/o using props beneath the stand. the stand is sensitive to vibration unless seated on a firm surface. default monitor setting is annoyingly bright. images become fuzzy when reducing brightness. therefore, acceptable monitor for text, but look elsewhere for video/photo use.

I purchased this monitor as a "cheap" replacement on an old computer we use for customers to look up products. I was expecting marginal performance, which would have been fine. But it really surprised me. It is a nice monitor. In fact, it was better than the monitor I had on my main system, so I swapped. Nice contrast, brightness, etc. and very easy to set up.

The price is quite low, but I have to say that the performance and quality of the monitor isn't quite up to par. The images are a bit on the fuzzy side on both the monitors we bought -- it's bearable but when compared to the other monitors we have, you can tell the difference immediately. This is a bit surprising since I have a Samsung SyncMaster 205bw that's very good. But overall, it's a pretty good deal for a 19" monitor -- just don't expect a really great picture from it. BTW, note that it's a VGA lcd monitor.

We are becoming real fans of Samsung. The monitor came quickly (thanks Buy.com), plugged right in, and did not need the driver CD. Screen is crisp, and I like the fact that it uses half the energy of the Dell I had considered. Overall, great purchase.

There are "lesser" name brand monitors more advanced features (DVI, higher contract, faster refresh, speakers, larger) at the pre-rebate price, but nothing comes close at the rebated price from any brand. I would have gone with something else if no rebate was available. Obviously I was price sensitive (took a chance that I'll get the rebate) when choosing this and advanced features did not matter to me. With that in mind, this monitor looks and performs great. No dead pixels, easy to set up. BTW: if you are interested in actual power usage: 18w on, less than 1w on standby. Buy.com performed flawlessly. I received the order in 2 days.

This is a great monitor for the price. I didn't pay attn when I ordered it and so was surprised that it did not have a dvi connection. The stand has no height adjustment but does tilt.

I bought this monitor about a month ago and couldn't be happier with it, especially for the price. If you are looking for a new monitor, I definitely recommend this, quality is great and the picture is clear.

Nice and bright. Good contrast. Seems to perform well. No dead pixels that I've noticed. I would have given it 5 stars across the board if it had a DVI input (it only has analog) and if the stand were more flexible. There are other monitors in a similar price range that have these features but they're not Samsungs. All-in-all I'd get this again.

I don't know why, but it took a couple of hours to get the monitor to function as a second monitor on my Vista system. I could not get Vista to "see" it. The problem could well have been Vista related, for once it finally worked it is great. Compared to my other monitor, a Samsung 931BF, the colors on the 923 are dull, not as brilliant.

This fits the bill for my Wife's sparsely used system really well. The fact that I can have it power itself off when not used after a while is great. I have it set to an hour, but this is configurable. This should really help with energy and 'monitor life' saving!

This monitor was a special offer at a great price. Works great. The optimum setting is 1440x900. It took me a while to get it set correctly. There could have been better instrctions on how to get the right setting. Now that I have it I regret not spending more and getting the 22" I'm very satisfied.

I bought 2 of these & I could not be happier. These are for the kids' desk & for basic operations like internet searching, emails, & basic games. I haven't tried high end graphics yet, so no opinion on that. Been very happy with Samsung on other products & this one did not disappoint.
