I like the monitor size. The adjustment to tilt and move up or down is good too. The dvi cable seems a bit too short. I would prefer a 6ft cable.
I tried to adjust the brightness down since i use my pc alot and get eye strain. I couldnt get it down as much as i would like but its ok. I did notice though when the brightness is lowered reds are way to red. And green is too green.
If i wanted a monitor for photo displays this may not be the one i would choose. For most things i use i like the monitor. The price at buy.com was good too. Other monitors of this size cost more so this was my value play.
I like being able to put multiple windows up and still have space to work. I would probably get a cheap 19inch monitor and run dual monitors along with this one. I would just make sure it would have a dvi input since my video card that i choose later would have 2 dvi outputs.
Basically for the price this is a good monitor of this size. Was this review helpful?

Bought as a primary monitor for my desktop, soon to be replaced with a laptop. This monitor is not only visually beautiful, with it's high gloss black frame, bright blue power light, and unobtrusive touch sensitive screen controls, it also has a beautiful bright picture and vivid colors. I was dooped into beliving that TN panels are no good... I'm writing this to tell you don't be fooled like me. S-IPS may be good, but without a A-TW polarizer they stink! That said, for around $500 this monitor blows away $700-$900 models. I had this and the DS side by side, I returned the DS. Color shift is very slight side to side. The black is very good. Watching Bluray or playing dark FPS games is amazing. This display looks great and is fast. HDMI in, use the Audio out to plug into your reciever or into your audio card! This monitor is a great find the only problem you may find is that it's sooo big. Was this review helpful?

I use it to watch HDTV, although there is no 1080p TV broadcast yet, the image is excellent, response is fast, color and contrast is good. People who bash TN panels are just biased and ignorant. It's height adjustable and tilt adjustable. You don't find height adjustable LCDs these days unless its a high end model. This samsung meets my expectation. The existence of both HDMI and DVI is the main reason I bought it over other 24" or larger LCD monitors. When using it as computer monitor, avoid having too much white space or it will blind you, he he... Buy.com's shipping is fast, I got it within 3 business days after placing the order.
