3 of 5 Constant buzzing sound Wednesday, April 30, 2008

The 245T emits a constant buzzing sound from the upper back part of the screen. In a silent room, you can definitely hear it. Turning on MPA helps, but MPA makes the screen seem to vibrate.

I returned the original 245T that I bought to Samsung under warranty. They sent another one that had the *same exact problem*. I returned that one, and they sent another. *Same exact problem.*

That's 3 brand new Samsung 245T's with the same issue. This is obviously a flaw in the monitor that Samsung won't admit to, and can't do anything about.

Bought this monitor to replace my Dell that failed @ 3yrs + 1 month. Size is perfect and brightness and colors are much better than the one it replaced. Base is nice and the range of motion is perfect for my needs. 16:9 size took some getting use to but I look forward to trying out movies on it next when I upgrade the PC. Was this review helpful?

I replaced my 8 year old 20" CRT with this monitor. After installing the most current driver (not on the included CD. link= http://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/supportDown.do?group=&type=&subtype=&model_nm=245T& language=&cate_type=all&dType=D&mType=DR&vType=L&prd_ia_cd= 05020100&disp_nm=245T)
and using the DVI connection I am having a great experience. I love the wide format when I use Photoshop. The image is gorgeous and the color definition is far superior to my old monitor. I love the stand that extends high enough for me (I'm 6'4") to view at the proper viewing angle. I'm now shopping for a new ( present config is 4 years old) CPU/Motherboard/videocard to be able to drive this mother while gaming! Was this review helpful?
