5 of 5 Owned this for several weeks now... Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Dave from Renton, WA

After several weeks of ownership I am happy to report that the backback has surpassed another review. The reviewer who had problems with the zippers or stitching might have had a bad production copy but the one I got has smooth zippers and is VERY comfortable to wear. Plenty of room for the computer and for papers in the big pocket in front of the computer. Another pocket is big enough for all the adaptors and cords that I use with my computer. The only thing to get used to as compared with my last computer bag was that the old one was more like a briefcase and had many more file type places to store papers with the chance of wrinkling. This backpack will require a little more effort to keep very important papers from being bent or wrinkled. Two smaller pockets on either side of the pack are great for smaller items like medicine bottles etc. It does have a felt type pocket on the upper part of the pack for an I-Pod or similar devive for the young people who use these but I am 47 and do not own one of those. The previous briefcase type device that I owned had only a shoulder strap. I like the two shoulder straps that a pack gives me.

4 of 5 satisfied so far... Wednesday, April 30, 2008
A Customer from Alameda, CA
I bought this backpack mainly to use as a carry-on item when I fly with my 17" HP laptop. The backpack fits my laptop, although it's a bit of a tight fit when the main compartment holding the laptop is also filled with other items. The backpack won't hold more than 1 large textbook-sized item besides the laptop, but there are some smaller compartments that provide good places to put some items and accessories. Carrying an 8 lbs. laptop on my back is way more comfortable than carrying it by hand or over the shoulder in computer briefcase. Also, pulling the laptop out for security screening at the airport is fairly quick and painless since there the backpack separates the laptop from other items. The only problem I've had so far is that filling the side pockets makes the backpack slightly too big to fit flat on the floor underneath the seat in front of me on an airplane. I still got it to fit at a slight angle, but I will avoid putting anything non-durable in those pockets on future trips.

5 of 5 Nice deal at a reasonable price Tuesday, April 29, 2008
A Customer from Ithaca, NY
It is a really nice deal at a very reasonable price. I like the size which is neither big or small for me. It has a rigid shape so that it maintains its look without any load. However, the earphone hole would be useless, and I worry that it can have a leak from outside due to a rain or snow.

5 of 5 Holding up well Monday, April 28, 2008
A Customer from Winchester, VA
This is a nice inexpensive bag that fits my huge 17" dell laptop perfectly. Padding is nice. Plenty of storage and features, which work great for me. I have only had it a couple weeks, but it is holding up well.

2 of 5 piece of junk Thursday, February 14, 2008
A Customer from Boulder, co
I purchased this backpack about 4 months ago and one of the zippers broke the first week and the stitching is tearing out of one of the shoulder straps. The price is ok, but not worth it factoring in that it won't last past 6 months. This is disappointing - especially from Samsonite

5 of 5 I LOVE this backpack Friday, December 14, 2007
A Customer from Moscow, Idaho
I teach at a university and it's a hike from my car to the office. Regular backpacks don't go with the business clothes I wear, briefcasts are too uncomfortable and ergonomically bad for you, and wheelie bags get soggy when you drag them through the snow. This Samsonite bag is perfect! Compact, professional looking, cushioned in the right spots. Everything stays in place (doesn't sag to the bottom of the bag), and is almost magic the way I can cram it full of laptop, test papers, 2 packs of 8 oz paper coffee cups (long story) and my wallet, and it still looks like I've got hardly anything in there. Love it!

A Customer from Saint George, Utah
Sturdy, durable and stylish, typical samsung quality. My 17" laptop fits great and leaves room for books and accessories.

5 of 5 Very good backpack for the price! Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Jan from Huntsville, AL
I bought this for a friend, he loves it! It could stand to have some more padding, but we also bought a laptop neoprene sleeve and that works just fine! It has plenty of room for an external hard drive and several cords, too!

5 of 5 Excellent backpack for the price Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Mark from Seattle, WA
The backback is great for laptops, it well designed, comfortable, and durable. My only wish is that the inside compartments where completely seperated (there is a divider but it is not sewn all the way around - just sides) and/or that there was another compartment for papers.

5 of 5 Solid Buy Wednesday, November 28, 2007

Got this for under $30 on previous Weekly Specials list. Lots of versatility here for different style laptops, books, accessories. Medium padding on bottom; mild on top. Quality material.

5 of 5 Damn Strong! Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Samuel from Brooklyn, NY
I bought this bag a little over a month ago and I got to tell you that it is strong, well constructed, padded and comfortable. The only thing is that its a little bigger than I expected but it holds a lot from the the dedicated CD/DVD sleeve holder to the 2 side pockets that I use for my cables and stuff. I used it to carry my 15.4 inch screen along with extra accessories and my books. For the price of $23 when I got it from buy.com, it was a steal.

5 of 5 From A Road Warrior Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from Rolla, MO
This bag is very, very big and carries everything I need when I travel. It is very comfortable with a full load in it and I can move through airports with ease. The main slot is very large and provides easy access to the laptop. The main compartment will also hold several thin notebooks and a personal items case along with all of the other laptop accessories (mouse, charger, cables, etc.). The exterior pouches are great for items like the iPod, books, or glasses. Overall a great buy for the cost! I'm very satisfied with this backpack.

3 of 5 barely fits a 17" laptop Friday, November 16, 2007
Ravi from Wichi-Wichi-Wichita
Bought a 17" Tosh laptop to go with this and its a tight squeeze. I am concerned already that there will be not enough cushion around the corners like a standard laptop carrier would have. The bag does not stay upright like the typical square shapes but then again, carrying it around backpack style is very comfortable.

5 of 5 It's holding up well Monday, October 01, 2007
A Customer from Oregon
It's holding up well, although it's a little bit cramped for space for extra schoolbooks. Sits well up on the shoulders and has nice padded straps, seems comfortable. Overall it's a great deal for the money, spent far more on backpacks in the past that weren't half as nice as this one.

5 of 5 I never knew what junk they were selling at Wal-Ma Wednesday, September 12, 2007
A Customer from Start spreading the news....
...until I bought this bag. All I can say is "Wow!" The material and features are virtually luxurious! There is a complete coverage of ventilated padding on the back which even wraps its way around the load-bearding edge of the straps (this is the first "laptop" backpack I've owned so for all I know this may be very common). But the pockets had many pleasant surprises including the over-and-down one side zippers on the lower corners which make it easier to get bulky power adapters without having to stuff them through a narrow opening. This bag seems like it would cost a lot more but I will not complain as I am very happy to get this kind of deal. Thanks, buy.com!

5 of 5 Nice job Samsonite Thursday, August 16, 2007
Sammy Lover from California
I used to think Samsonite was for old folks but they are really getting a lot better. I bought the Samsonite L35 case for my sister and she loves it. Then I saw this deal and couldn't pass up on it. This is a GREAT BACKPACK and an even better price. Everyone else is selling it for $49.99...

5 of 5 are you kiddin me... Tuesday, August 07, 2007
John S. from Provo, UT
a samsonite backpack for under $35 bucks, wow. This is $10 lower than most of the other e-commerce guys i shop. Bought one for both my sons, one on the way to college and the other in high school. plenty of room fo books and laptop, and padding just in case of a fall to the ground. couldn't be happier. I highly recommend!
