I picked up this bag about a year ago to drag around as a work bag and it has recently graduated to holding my home laptop (MacBook Pro 17") despite several weeks of travel, general abuses and weathering it still looks great with no deterioration. It's light and has enough pockets for the few extra peripherals I carry when traveling. I only mark down organization for the slim nature of the back zippered section and I wish there was a bit more padding.

The bag looks very small and the laptop compartment is very small for a 15" screen. I am not pleased by having it.

This is a great case. Very durable and has great protection for the laptop. Great storage compartments and room for files. Overall I'm extremely pleased with the purchase and the quick delivery from Buy.com.

It is nice looking and comfotable to carry. It is roomy, albeit the compartments could have been better organized.The laptop compartment is quite tight for my Dell 15" laptop. Squeezing it in and pulling it out of the compartment is quite awkward and uncomfortable. Furthermore, something very disconcerting is the misrepresentation of the picture showing the front leaf of the laptop compartment covers all the way up 3/4th of the laptop, whereas it covers, at very best, halfway, leaving at least half of your computer uncovered and potentially vulnerable. Not a proud and quality job expected from Samsonite. Very deceptive and careless!!

This case was very compact, has a quality look, its durable, and is at a very reasonable price from its quality. I have a 15.4” Widescreen Toshiba and it fits snug but I feel that it is well protected. You may want to measure your particular laptop first to be safe.

I liked it's apperance. Looks a bit big, but good for bigger Laptops. Just brought it and hardly used, so can't tell much about durability, but looks strong.

Everyone was talking about how "slim" this case was. Uh uh. Even if it's the only bag you're carrying, it's a bit bulky. I was hoping for a small little case and was pretty disappointed when it arrived. However, if you're in the mood for a non-small case, it's great. Definitely build to endure and it has well organized storage pockets for all kinds of pens, mice, etc. There isn't a convenient way to store the power cord, though. It'll fit in the front pocket,or in an inner pocket but there's a bulge. There's not much you could do from a design perspective to remedy that without making it even bulkier, but just another note.

I am pleased with the case. The space for the computer is a little tight for my Toshiba Satellite (15.4" screen) but it does fit.

The L45 is relatively sturdy - metal zippers, plastic corner gussets and velcro strip closures for the pockets - but the pockets are rather poorly designed in terms of size (for instance, the outside pocket won't accomodate an 8 1/2 X 11 file easily, and the inside pockets have only strips to hold in their contents rather than full pocket flaps. The laptop pocket itself is rather snug, and will barely fit my Lenovo laptop with a 15" screen. The black Cordura exterior will gather dust and dirt and rapidly look gray.

Pro: This case was well worth the investment! Retails for $50, so this was quite a bargain at Buy.Com. The case is very sturdy and far surpasses other cases in this bargain pricing arena. The blue color in the picture did not show up as brightly in the real product, but the asthetics are still very pleasing. Would make a great gift for anyone wanting to upgrade or purchase a new one. Con: The only drawback (and I am a huge fan of the Wenger Swiss products) is that the molded handle seems a little "cheap" to me. Swiss always puts real nice handles on their products so I guess I expect better. Overall I would highly recomend this nice Samsonite case to anyone.

This shouldn't be advertised for a 16" laptop when it is this "snug". Yes, it will fit a 15.4", but it's tight. Do you really want to have to force your laptop in and out?

One may not have a better bargain than this for the price. The structure is solid and look is modest. Interior is well detailed but the claim to have 16'' screen is slightly over the board. Even my Dell 15.4'' gets in too clumsily. I don't mind to do a bit exercise while bringing the laptop out from the compartment at this price. But it has its positive side effects too. A tight compartment ensures no shaking of your device. It has got enough space for other objects too. One (preferably a student) must not mind to use it to carry a shirt or two for a day long trip. The plastic corners offers the stiffness to the bag so that it will offer a longer aesthetic sense. One must not forget that it is from Samsonite. Every brand has its own value, considering Ipod loots the students hard earned money like no other.

This case is a snug fit for the 15.4" laptop I recently gave my wife but it holds all accessories well and looks great.

Samsonite L45 is a very good case. It is beautifully made with lots of pockets. It is tight for Dell 15.4" laptops but one can manage it. I have used one over 2 years and still in excellent condition. It is a bit heavier than some other brands and a bit pricy. Buycom had them on sale several times and cost was resonable at sale price.

This works great and the price is real good. If you have a 15 in laptop it may be a bit snug to get in and out.

This bag is great. It is beautiful, strong and roomy. Cons: It is a little bit heavy. I tried to use with a Dell 15.4" and it was too tight though it is perfect for my VAIO 15.4".

I was in bad need of a case for my laptop because i'm a freelance graphic designer. This thing works perfectly for me and when i checked, the original retail price for this is $90 through the samsonite website. I also checked luggage.com and there "special" price is about $57.99. Combine with the free shipping, I can't think of a better deal. I'm on here getting another for my brother who just got a laptop and is starting college.

This case is rugged, light and has nice storage pockets as advirtised. However, Be careful about the size of your laptop. The laptop compartment is advirtised at a size of 2" x 15" x 13". My laptop is 1.3" x 14" x 11" so I thought it would fit fine. My laptop goes in with some effort. It is very difficult to get my laptop out of the internal pocket because the top of the case is too stiff and high. It works but just barely - not great when in a hurry like in an airport security line.

I being the admirer of samsonite, for their light cases, was not dissapointed when I purcased it. It has a strong hand grip, good shoulder strap, and enough space after my 14" Dell, for adding supplies and other things. It has a lot of pockets for keeping other office supplies, notepad, Mobile etc. Overall its the best deal in this price.

Since buying a Sony Vaio with a landscape screen I had to discard most of my computer cases that were designed for a square laptop. I bought the Samsonite L45 because it was cheap and had the right dimensions. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box to find an excellence case, well made with quality materials and with all the space I need for my new rectangular laptop. Besides the padded laptop section, there is space for documents, power adapter, mouse, cables, etc. The front pocket holds comfortably business cards, pens and the usual business accruements as well as a couple of PCMCIA cards; all of which is done with less weight than the regular computer case. Overall, the case is a great value.

I've owned this case for nearly a year now. Handle is very strong, shoulder strap likewise. Sufficient inserts under flap for all portable office supplies. Internal/external pockets for mouse/adapter. All around great case. I'm buying another for my wife.
