The bag showed up in 2 days even though I picked the free shipping option which indicated 10-11 days!
The bag seems to be very well built and appears to be durable. For a bag that appears to be slim, it is surprisingly spacious. I can comfortably fit a few books, my Bose noise cancelling headphones and an umbrella. The front section has a few pockets that accomodate a bunch of little knick-knacks.
Unzipping the bag and passing it through security has worked without a problem. I travel mostly on the small jets, and the bag fits very comfortably beneath the seat. All in all, seems to be a good value & utility buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Better than I expected. Sunday, March 01, 2009 JC from New York, NY
Took this bag on a trip a few days after it came in the mail. I was very satisfied with it. Absolutely no problems going through the TSA at LaGuardia Airport. The size of the bag was just right to slide under the seat on the plane. I have no complaints and would buy it again if I had to do it all over again. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Bag Thursday, February 26, 2009 A Customer from Bham, AL
This is a very nice bag with all the features I hoped for. I have no problems using it with airport security (domestically, at least). There is plenty of room for what I take. I like the extra pocket in front, so you may want to look at the business/professional version of this case. The single handle is a nice feature too. The strap on the back for attaching to the handle of a pullman works as intended. Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 2 of 5 Decent bag with one major flaw Wednesday, February 18, 2009 A Customer from H.B. CA
Looks great, seems like it was built with solid hardware. One minor flaw, they should have made the front compartment zipper, zip all the way down to the bottom of the bag, as to access file folders more easily. One major flaw, is that the bag is not correctly weighted. Because I'm packing a MacBook Pro (a very heavy laptop), the bag becomes backside heavy. So if you do not have enough file folders or counter weight in the front compartment, when you stand the bag up, it WILL fall backwards. Though I like the airport feature, I would NOT suggest buying this bag if you are worried about your computer falling down all the time. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Absolutely love it Wednesday, January 21, 2009 A Customer from Seattle, WA
Great for frequent fliers. Easy to send the laptop through TSA without having to remove it.Single handle is comfortable to hold (like a briefcase). padded compartment for laptops to keep them safe. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fast through security, nice basic computer briefca Thursday, January 08, 2009 Craig from Lafayette, CA
I travel by plane frequently for business so I purchased this bag for its "Checkpoint Friendly" feature. It is definitely a timesaver being able to just unzip the bag and lay it flat for the TSA xray. No problems so far through security!
The layout of the case is fine for my needs-- a basic organization compartment, a separate zippered compartment with a divider section and two deep pockets, a smaller half height full width zippered pocket for incedentals. and finally, an entire compartment dedicated to your computer. It is not a large bag by any means, but has enough space for the essentials.
This Business version of the case differs from the almost identical Casual version by three features not necessarily obvious by the pictures or description: 1) the additional zippered pocket on the front (as mentioned above, perfect for your GPS, phone while going through security, boarding pass, etc.) 2) a single padded handle versus a dual looped handle for carrying, and 3) your pc is secured in an open pouch with an elastic band with velcro versus being zipped in to an entirely sealed area.
Personally, these three features were the reason I bought the Business version case. The single handle is easier to carry (and the double handles got in the way of opening/closing the case for me when I demo'd the Casual version). The pouch for you laptop makes for easier access to it when I need it (like on a plane from under the seat). Lastly, the extra zippered pouch is perfect and very handy!!!
For the money, I think this is good value for a checkpoint friendly basic computer briefcase. Was this review helpful?
