Rex, and the New York Dolls had already blazed the genre's trail), but Gary Glitter notched up an impressive number of Top 10 hits in his native England during the early '70s. The 1991 16 track collection, ROCK AND ROLL: GARY GLITTER'S GREATEST HITS, includes all the expected Glitter stomping, shout-along anthems, which can still put a party over the top all these years later. Standouts include his best known track and one of his few U.S. hits, "Rock & Roll Pt. 2."
