It's a good game. This ps2 version doesn't have as many of the options as the other console's do. And you have to unplug the microphone and plug it back in evry time you turn the game on if you want to use it. Other than that it's probably the best game out there. Was this review helpful?

I recently purchased Rockband as a birthday gift for my 9 year old grandson. Words can not describe how thrilled he was. Not only does he enjoy Rockband, so do his two brothers ages 11 and 3. It was so much fun to watch the three boys perform. I'm sure it will be a gift that will be enjoyed for many years. My grandson has said he wants to learn to play the electric guitar. As a grandmother, my only negative comment is, "I need earplugs!" Was this review helpful?

This was a bithday gift to my 11 year old twins...Boy and Girl.. At first it was difficult for them to play and keep up. But now a week later, they sound great. Combine this with a big screen tv like I did and WOW...the kids love it...And my 85 year old dad sings along while the kids play...The kids say it's better than Guitar Hero...But harder to learn.. I'm not a big gamer but this is cool.
Setting up was easy.
The song selection could've been better (personally).
I'm 34 and could only recognize about half.
I'll eventually buy a PS3 where I will be able to download songs which makes this purchase very reasonable, cause the PS2 RB instruments are compatible with PS3.
I would just purchase the game by itself.
Besides the song selection, I highly recommend it!
