Malcolm MacPherson was a national and foreign correspondent for Newsweek who used his experiences in foreign countries to inform both his nonfiction books and his novels. His last two books before his death were about American wars: ROBERTS RIDGE described fighting in Afghanistan, and his novel HOTUS POTUS was a fiercely satirical novel about the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
