1 of 5 This thing does not work Tuesday, January 22, 2008
carolc@alliancecu.org from Ogden Ut

I was really disappointed with this item. I received two of them and one would not even turn on at all after I charged it and the other one does not turn off. The pictures are bury and you can't even see what is on the screen. I really like Buy.com products but I DON'T like this one at all.

4 of 5 Works as advertised Sunday, January 13, 2008
JDB from State College, PA
This product does just what was quoted, no more. Prices have come down on similar sized units, so shop around; but if you need 2 in a hurry, this option works. The application for cropping photos to fill the screen is a little confusing, so we used another program. Upload of images requires use of the supplied software, and we needed to make a few mistakes before learning what was required to make it work (the program prompts were not obvious). The buttons are not unique shapes, so you need to memorize their positions, or have it in good light to find the right buttons to control the image display. However, once we figured it out, it worked as expected. It is surprisingly bright, and usable enough for our needs (low-res image frame gift, faster to display than pulling out a camera).

2 of 5 Awful Little Crummy Picture Box Saturday, January 12, 2008
Malcolm from Birmingham, Alabama
Don't waste your time or money. These things are awful. They should be free give-a-ways. The software is a little quirky, but once you 'get it' it works OK. The most awful thing about the pictures you see on this gadget is that they are so poor in quality, if you don't already know the people you are looking at, you wouldn't recognize them from these pictures if you met them on the street. The positive: If you don't already have a piece of software to reduce the size of your digital prints, this one does that easily. It reduces a digital file down to about 20K, but that may be part of the reason the quality of the photos is so bad.

1 of 5 You get what you pay for! Tuesday, January 08, 2008
A Customer from New Jersey
I bought a bunch of them to give as stocking stuffers. Totally disappointed. They look good and the stand is cute but the loading of the pictures were a real pain. I have a different brand that was given to me and you can continously add pictures. This product was not the same. When you tried to add pictures it erased the ones already on. Not very user-friendly to get the pictures cropped or loaded - software no good.

I don't think this is the Same Roadmaster that makes Bicycles http://www.roadmasterusa.com Negatives: Not Mac Compatible, Not drag and drop Compatible, Feels Extremely cheap, Lo-Res screen also Contrasty, Non-Standard connetor Cable (USB to ???), No driver download from site?, Software very limited on cropping functionality Positives: 2 for $25, Color Screen, Pretty idiot proof Software

1 of 5 Poor Value, not worth the effort Friday, January 04, 2008
A Customer from El Paso Texas
$15.00 each sound like a fair deal, but the picture quality is so poor, it is just a toy for a 5 year old. I charged the unit overnight and took it with me. When I tried it in the afternoon the next day to use it nothing, it was dead. The Software and ease of use is very good but that doesn' t make up for the performance and picture quality. Save your money on this one

3 of 5 nice, but disappointed Friday, January 04, 2008
mary from gig harbor, wa
when i viewed the pictures on the roadmaster, they were very pixelated. and i was disappointed. i have a very nice digital camera, and i bought this product because of the size, 8mb. i thought i would get quality pictures with a database that size. i would not re-buy this product. you need to be careful in the choice of pictures that you use with it; simple, one figure - head shots, not too busy, then it is okay. and it would be better to use another photo program to crop pictures with - the included software is very limited.

2 of 5 Big Disapointment! Wednesday, January 02, 2008
A Customer from Garden Grove, CA
I was soooo excited about this, but once I received it I realized that the resolution was extremely poor, and it doesnt stay charged for very long. I gave one to my mom, and its probably going straight in a drawer. The unit is large, but the picture is only about 1/2 the size of the unit. Dont waste your money.

2 of 5 you must read this Wednesday, January 02, 2008
A Customer from new york
ok, i got it yesterday night. it's not bad at my first impression. it got good design: it has a stand. I design it can stand at my working table or keep it at my key chain..it fullfill my request. HOWEVER, the quality of this item is bad. the screen have very low resolution, and it is too bright. The software came with this keychain is bad, the software can't work at some type of picture.

1 of 5 Don't waste your money Wednesday, January 02, 2008
Jeff from Dissapointed, NJ
I thought my wife might appreciate this rather than the stack of pictures she keeps in her wallet. The picture size is too small and of such poor quality, it is hard to make it out. The software is archaic and the unit will only function on USB 2.0 or higher ports. I wasted two hours trying to set the unit up on an older desk top because the USB 2.0 mandate is not noted anywhere even remotely obvious. Once I guessed that the problem was with the USB port, I loaded the software on our laptop and the unit functioned. Unfortunately, the picture quality is so poor, there was no sense in even using it. I've got an un-opened unit if anyone wants it for the shipping cost only!

3 of 5 You get what you pay for... Monday, December 31, 2007
A Customer from Fort Wayne, IN
The resolution and contrast are really pretty bad, but consider what you're paying, you won't be expecting miracles anyway; however, if you already know what a photograph looks like, your brain will fill in the missing detail. I got a bunch of them for Christmas and they were a hit. The only thing that really upset me was that the software available for changing the photographs only runs on Windows, which makes them more or less useless to me and my sister - a Linux and a Mac user respectively.

1 of 5 Not Worth Buying! Monday, December 31, 2007
A Customer from Jacksonville, FL
I bought this product as a stocking stuffer for my wife and mom. The interface is rhedimentary, the scree is HORRIBLE. All pictures look washed out. You can't even see faces, just white, glowing blobs. Save yourself some money, and don't buy this product.

2 of 5 Horrible Picture Quality Friday, December 28, 2007
A Customer from Dermott, AR
I purchased this item as a gift and was ashamed to have given it after seeing the quality of the picture it displayed. Each huge pixel is visible giving the image the quality of a collage. I would recommend not wasting your money on such an inferior product.

3 of 5 Neat but weak picture Friday, December 28, 2007
Doug Atkins from Richmond, VA
Bought these for my wife and her father-in-law for Christmas. Cool idea and neat gadget. It is rechargeable, comes with software that is easy to use and has a stand built in so when you get to work you can plop it on your desk. Very cool way to show pictures of your darling child to co-workers and friends. One problem - picture is quite grainy. I guess I shouldn't have expected much for $30. However, if you can spend a little more and get a better quality picture I would recommend it. A screen this size needs to be Blackberry quality for it to really work. I was surprised by the quality of the photos after you uploaded them. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would say the picture quality is a 3 at best. However, it is cheap and serves its purpose. My wife and father-in-law like them.

2 of 5 SAVE YOUR MONEY Friday, December 28, 2007
Keith from Lancaster, NY
I bought this for my wife and mother and I a VERY disapponted. You get what you pay for. The Ease of use of the software is great, but the picture quaility is sub standard. The picture is so grainy that you can't see the pic, only very close up pictures even resemble a picture. I researched the item and went base on previous reviews, apparently my quailty standards are much higher. If your looking for something cheap, then this is it, but I would recommend looking at other products before purchasing this one.

4 of 5 You get what you pay for... Wednesday, December 26, 2007
AntneR from Davie, FL
I paid $30 for a 2-pack of these and I bought them as a stocking stuffer for my kids, so I wasn't expecting to be "wow'd" by this product. The screen is only 1.4" but not bad to look at as long as your photo is a close up of someone's face. Group shots do not work well. The screen brightness can't be adjusted so some of the photos are washed out unless you tilt the screen when you look at it. Installation was simple. Software works well with the product and is easy to use. Cropping feature helps to get that close up. Resolution is low and picture is grainy but adequate for this product. Only been used for one day so I can't attest to its longevity or how long the battery charge holds up. If it works for 6 months, I'll have more than gotten my monies worth.

1 of 5 great price for 2 pack but only 1 worked Tuesday, December 25, 2007
Dwight McKinnon from Topeka, KS
I bought these to give as Christmas gifts to 2 different people. I received them and got 1 charged and loaded, but the other 1 wouldn't charge so I only gave 1 as a gift. Now I am stuck with the one that won't charge. I would not buy another Roadmaster product.

2 of 5 Took a chance! Saturday, December 22, 2007
A Customer from Cleveland, OH
I took a chance and bought these and you get what you pay for! Before you open the package there is a sticker over the screen with a big color picture then you pull off the sticker to find a rather small screen! Picture quality is marginal at best, software limited and in general a cheap product! I have been happy with Buy.com purchases until this ringer! Also they lowered the price after I bought this item!

1 of 5 Tiny picture area with horrible resolution Thursday, December 20, 2007
A Customer from San Diego, CA
Imagine what a picture looks like on a cheap cell phone and then imagine it looking 100 times worse and that's what you get. The actual screen size is so tiny and the resolution is so bad that I can't imagine anybody who would really enjoy it. You'd be so much better having one clear picture in a wallet. I bought 3 and returned the ones I didn't already open. Trust me, I wanted to like it. The one good thing I can say is it was very easy to use.

4 of 5 1.4" Keychain Photo Frame Cute Monday, December 17, 2007
Tony from New Holland Pa
This is a nice item for a stocking stuffer. It does what it is suppose to do so for the price it's worth the purchase. The quality of the pictures are not good and I'm being nice. If you do not hold it at the right angle it is difficult to view. For me it turned out to be a fun gift. The person I gave it to had a good laugh with the pictures I installed of her favorite rock star. Give it a try you too may give someone a smile for the day.

3 of 5 Too Small Screen as compared to the key chain size Sunday, December 16, 2007
Sujit Mahapatra from NJ, US
The keychain is not bad, It's OK. But the things that i saw is the size of screen is too small as compared to the whole key chain size (It is having too large borders). Also i have to try real hard to change the picture display timings (From 3 secs to 5/10 seconds). It's not very easy to change that. The Image quality is also so-so the pictures are appearing too bright, If they had a way to decrease the brightness, that would have been great. The product overall is just OK as compared to the price i paid.

1 of 5 Save your money Friday, December 14, 2007
A Customer from Atlanta
Granted the price is cheap but so is the quality of the picture. It came with the cable and software and is easy to use but its not worth the packaging it came in. Very cheesy product. I'm embarrased to even give it to my mailman.

1 of 5 Buyer beware! Wednesday, December 12, 2007
A Customer from Reseda, CA
The product doesn't work! Just bought two of them, on one of them the on/off doesn't work. It turns off after the battery dies. On both of them, after installing the software, I plugged the devices into the USB and it never recognized either one of them. When you run the software an error message pops up and terminates the software. I use many other USB devices that work fine. Save your money on this one, buy another gift.
