At times painful, heat-warming, funny, and beautiful, THE RIFF explores the life of a talented musician whose glory days are over. Antonio Fargas (3 STROKES) stars as Shoop Summers, a brilliant jazz trumpeter past his prime. Formerly one of the most famous jazz musicians in New Orleans, Shoop spends his time waxing nostalgic for the past. His manager, Adam Goodnight, has become too greedy to be good to him, and is considering separating from the trumpeter completely. However, when a gorgeous lawyer--played by Nia Peeples of FAME and GENERAL HOSPITAL--enters the picture, she becomes the only hope for saving both of them.
