When I first got this straightener, I was shocked. It was so small I didn't see how it could possibly work as well as the larger Conair one it replaced. The ceramic heat plates in the smaller Revlon straightener heat so quickly and evenly, I only have to go over a spot one or two times. With the Conair Wet & Dry it was four or more. It's a lot easier to pack, too, when you travel and comes with a carrying case. It's so small that you could actually keep it in your purse for times when you need to be picure perfect. Its size is deceptive because it really does a great job. If it was designed to do more hair at a time, it would be comparable to the expensive ceramic straighteners found in salons.
