If you are moving from cable to satellite or just need a phone line connection where you currently don't have one this product is just what you need. It was quick to hook up and easy to use and much less expensive than running a phone line. Be sure to get this model if you want your caller ID to work. This product is perfect for connecting a phone line to a Directv receiver when the only available phone jack is on the other side of the room.

I bought this device to provide a phone line to a Ceiva Internet picture frame for Great Grandma and Grandpa.
When plugging the remote unit into the desired plug it did not work. I then moved the remote into the room where the base unit resided and used an analog telephone for debugging. Every time I lifted the receiver, the table lamp would get brighter. It is a lamp with a touch sensitive on/off dimmer. Great Grandpa was howling as his lights went brighter and then off when making a telephone call.
I then moved the base unit to another phone jack farther from the desired remote location and tested in that room. Grandpa's light was fine. Unit went off-hook and pulled dialtone. I moved one room away and still had success with the remote unit. I then moved the remote to the desired location and was able to pull dialtone but because of noise on the line, could not get carrier.
So the unit failed in this house with this application. Was this review helpful?

Of course there is no phone outlet where my tv sits. Most older homes fit that scenario. So I have had a phone cord run across my family room for the last year and a half -- tripping and stumbling over it often. I picked up this RCA Wireless Modem with hopes that it would work as advertised. It did -- it was very easy to set up -- and worked right off the bat. It did take me awhile to stop stepping over the cord (that is no longer there)... Well worth the low price...

I bought this to connect my satellite receiver to my phone outlet across the room. It worked first time without a problem and does show the caller ID on my TV just as it appeared when I had the phone line stretched across the room... I really recommend it.

Nothing fancy about this product really and it works just fine. I'm using it for a DirecTV connection where the system has to place a daily call to DirecTV. I plugged it in and it was able to make a call easily. So far, in the couple of weeks I've had it, the calls have gone through fine. Was this review helpful?
