| | | Part Seductress. Part Assassin. All Vampire. Features: DVD A 19th century woman (Eileen Daly) has become one of the undead, becoming a hired killer in modern times. When she starts knocking off part of the elite businessmen, "The Illuminati," who secretly are taking over business and the government, she becomes the target of a Scotland Yard detective (Jonathan Coote) in this British cult classic "Now this is what we call a vampire movie!" SFX Magazine "...body-hugging black rubber... and lots of gothic prose." Tim Cogshell, Boxoffice Magazine
 Editor's Note
Lilith terrorizes the urban underground as a contract assassin. She also happens to be a vampire. This makes for a rather interesting combination, and a not-so-pleasant one for the organized crime sect that she is slowly devouring one-by-one. Think LA FEMME NIKITA with fangs!

| | Professional Reviews | Box Office "...Striking cinematography....Intense editing....Sometimes style is everything..." 09/01/1999 p.153Boxoffice Magazine 9 of 10 In cinema, there are issues of substance and issues of style. Writer/director Jake West's Razor Blade Smile falls into the latter category. The movie is a thriller about a bored femme vampire who passes her eternal time by moonlighting (no pun intended) as a hitwoman. Decked out in body-hugging black rubber, Lilith (Eileen Daley) leads us through the world of the undead Anne Rice style, with lots of gothic prose and overdrawn sexual innuendo. In a sultry voice-over she debunks vampire lore (they can go in the sun, crucifixes don't work) while skulking about with an assortment of weaponry (including her fangs), drinking her victims' blood before shooting them gangland style. Between James Solan's striking cinematography and West's intense editing, you'll forgive the occasionally troubled plotting, iffy dialogue and over-the-top acting. Fortunately for these filmmakers, sometimes style is everything. - Tim Cogshell
