5 of 5 Awsome Gaming Keyboard Monday, February 09, 2009 Jason from Campbellsville Kentucky
Awsome Keyboard. I play a lot of TF2. The response time is dead on. Also you might as well order the Battlelight with this because your going to want it. The only thing is the macro's can only be 8 keystrokes long. I'm going to have to find some 3rd party software to help me out with that because I have some binds that require more than 8. Also buy you a can of compressed air to keep this baby clean. It has 2 powered USB ports and auido ports. They work great. I type a little faster too. There's a new firmware out so download it and flash it as soon as you get it. The best thing about this thing is the 5 profiles that are saved onboard the keyboard. So even in a reformat or taking it to someone's house, you still have your setup. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Razer makes the best gaming keyboards period! Friday, December 12, 2008 REN Dawg from Los Angeles, CA.
My Tarantula is perfect, the keystrokes on this KB has the best smoothest feel to your fingertips, worth every penny if your a gamer, I can say it even makes me type faster than I did before, every key is programmable and has multimedia keys that work perfect with Vista. Does not slide around and is built sturdy, nice shinyness to it and you can buy upgrades to it like a camera when made and a night light very nice. I love this KB and Razer for making this product. 5 of 5 I don't use it for gaming Sunday, October 26, 2008 A Customer from Newport Beach, CA
I'm a website developer and find that gaming keyboards and mice are far superior than anything else on the market. The tarantula is a first class keyboard. I have used the Saitek Eclipse II for that last few years and really liked it.
After using the Tarantula for a couple of weeks I'm impressed. It has a solid feel. Large delete key.
The only negative is the the key back-lighting is weak. (I work late at night), but with the Razer BattleLight attached it's hard to beat. Was this review helpful?
3 of 5 Needs a dummy guide. Saturday, August 16, 2008 eliastech from Bronx, NY
It's a programmable/macroable keyboard. It's big. It needs an "Easy Button". I can't figure out how to program the thing. I play games so that I don't have to think too much. I don't want to have to think too much in order to play a game. Backlit keys would have been nice. Company's website doesn't have a forum/message board. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Keyboard Monday, February 11, 2008 Patrick from Arlington, VA
No need to use this keyboard only for gaming. It is over-designed for everyday use, but it is so well designed that once you use one it is not likely that you'll want to use any other keyboard. The keys are crisp and have a great feel. It's easy to overlook your keyboard but when you have one that you don't like, it's even easier to see the value in having one like the tarantula. It's a little bit of a luxury, but worth it. Was this review helpful?

the Tarantula Keyboard made by Razer is one of the finest pieces of hardware to grace my desk.
- Cons = Without good friction if you put the feet down the keyboard slides around. Also takes some time getting used to the bottom left key being a macro key, not the Control key (yes the keyboard is fairly normal other than a large Delete key). I tend to hit the macro key and think it is the ctrl key. Keys don't light up (not sure if this is good or bad yet). large footprint, don't have the desk setup the way I would like it so it is sorta awkward. Takes getting used to, I still put my hands in the wrong place at times and type like this: ji ,u smr,s od npn/
- Pros = Superb key stroke advantage, I have no ghosting, my fat fingers have disappeared and response is second to none. The keys do not require hard hitting so my hands do not get as tired while typing. I love the keyboard, and do not regret buying this for 75 bucks.
One thing to note, the Razer logo pulses and so does the Razer logo on the Deathadder. They are not in sync. Was this review helpful?
