I have followed the show since it began on showtime networks. This was the first real show that broke the straight/gay barrier. Not only does this show depict some of the real problems that the gay community faces, but it also includes very addicting drama. This show in my opinion has paved the way for shows such as Queer Eye and The L Word. This show can be enjoyed by people who are not gay. Now that the price has dropped considerably, I encourage anyone who has not seen the show or even those who love the show to buy this box set. The first season really packs in the drama. The new set does not include the beautiful packaging that was with the first pressing, but it includes 6 thin plastic cases with a dvd in each. Was this review helpful?

Turning 42 VERY soon, I've been waiting almost a lifetime for something like this. This is our world, no apologies, no screens, no holding back. Great actors and acting, a very believable storyline, a whole array of lovely characters. A whole lot of mandated reading has piled up at home because I'm watching those episodes over and over. And I've loved Sharon Gless ever since 'Cagney & Lacey.' Was this review helpful?

This is some of the best comedy, drama, and just plain old entertainment. Following each of the characters is quite amusing and I think each of "us" can relate to at least some of the situations that they become entangled in. Don't we all have friends like this in one way or another?
