3 of 5 Not what I expected Tuesday, December 11, 2007 A Customer from Lafayette, LA
I use noise cancelling headphones primarily for airline travel. At only a -12 db noise cancellation, the benefit is minor. I found the on-the-ear design to be uncomfortable to wear. The quality of the sound through the headphones was adequate with sound coloration with the noise cancelling active. I would not recommend these for even an entry level headset because I believe you would spend more for a better headset as soon you experienced them. I did. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works good Monday, December 03, 2007 A Customer from Chicago
The headphone works a lot better than I had initially thought they would. From the picture they look really big, but in reality they aren't. They are as big as your normal headphones. I have to say that when I got them, they look sort of cheaply manufactured. Besides the look from my previous pair. I have glasses, and these do not press to firmly on my ears. My old pair would hurt after 20mins. These headphones also produce a great deal of sound. Nice balance for bass. The noise canceling feature, is pretty good. For the most part this was a good buy at a good price. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Get's the job done Sunday, May 27, 2007 A Customer from San Diego, CA
Good value and works fairly well. Did not seem as flimsy as some reviewers suggested. Section in the headphone cord with battery is fairly bulky, but not a problem. Was this review helpful?

All these types of headphones should be renamed "Outside Noise Reduction Headphones" as none of them eliminate (Cancel) outside distractions completely. Of the Sennheiser, Koss, Sony, and JVC’s previously owned, these were the best for the price and comfort. These work very well and I kid tested them for performance (two teenage daughters that badger each other constantly). Happy to report not only do they sound incredible but they do what most claim and fail to deliver. They reduce outside noises to a level that is faintly detectable. The ear cups are very comfortable and do not press your temples into wishing for aspirin like other models do. The only downsides are the lack of an in-line volume control and the folding feature requires a smooth touch or you will break the plastic hinges. These are not going to get stuffed in your pocket like ear buds nor are you going to wrap the chord around your MP3 player and carry the lot clipped to your belt either. The bag you stuff them in is an excellent touch as well as the airline adapter. Was this review helpful?

I got this noise canceling headset along with their extension cables. I am very satisfied with both the products. The noise canceling headset comes with pretty long cable (long enough for me) and is collapsible (also comes with a bag). Easily fits in my bag or pocket. You also get an extension for in-flight radio. If you buy the extension cables with this headset, you would have got the best collection of headset components. Was this review helpful?

I have had these headphones for a while now, and I must say that they perform really well! They reduce the ambient noise well, and can be compared favorably to higher-end Sony, Sennheiser or Technics headphones.
Bass and treble are reproduced admirably by these headphones. These have an Audio Enhancer Unit fixed onto the wires (cord) between the headphones and the jack. This Unit provides the noise cancellation. DVDs and games were an enjoyable experience on my laptop, using these headphones.
The only flaw to this pair of headphones, is that Maxell could have incorporated an in-line Volume Control in the Audio Enhancer Unit. Other than that, this seems to be one of the cheapest and best noise cancelling headphones out there! At $19.99, they are unbeatable!! Was this review helpful?
