We had problems from the minute we opened the box. I purchased this camera for my parents. They are not computer savvy but installing was simple but using it was not. The box said Microsoft xp compatible but an annoying window kept popping up saying a driver accepted by Microsoft needed to be installed and that was going to cost $30. Then the microphone wouldn't work, it was a nightmare. Come to find out logictech customer support said we were sent an old model that was no longer under warranty and suggested we return this one and get an updated model with a warranty. So hopefully we will be allowed to do that and things will be all better.

Webcam works really great! smooth image. Im using Yahoo messenger with this webcam. Although the webcam windows for YM is pretty small, better if it was a bit larger. But haven't got a problem with this product. Still figuring out how to remove the base from the clip so it can be put on a desk instead on my LCD.

I have used 4-5 logitech webcam, this one is the best so far, i have used the latest utlra vision, which is clear then this one, but its flaky, this is doesn't give u as clear image as the ultra vision, but image quality very good and web cam is very stable and handle low light pretty well, better then ultra vision.

The QuickCam Communicate STX with built-in mic was easy to install and works great so far. I haven't tried to do everything it can do yet. I've been using it with SKYPE. I would recommend it for it's ease of instillation and use and the quality of the video and audio.

THIS IS THE BEST CAMERA I HAVE HAD IN A WHILE. It shows everything that you can imagine. Very clear picture and it has a wonderful microphone that is in it.

This camera is excellent. It shows exactly what you appear to be (Good and the Bad). This is the best camera for this price.

This is a great little camera. Only takes a few minutes to set up and shows a good picture and audio. A microphone will give you even better sounds, but don't have any trouble using the built in mic. Sets on both my laptop, flatscreen and regular monitor with no problem. I also unhook and rehook it into the USB daily with no problems.

The audio and video from the cam were great! I was very impressed, bought 3 of them from buy.com to give to my sister, father and mother for video conferencing. Thanks buy.com Greg

This cam gives a crisp clear images and even the rate of transmission is good that u can watch like a video rather than a series of pictures. It looks impressive and does not cost us high.

This is my first webcam. I love it, this little camera allows me to communicate with people i love and they can see me as well. I recommend it to anyone.

I bought communicate STX webcam recently. It works great and picture quality is very sharp like TV picture. I used other webcams and I found this one as the best of them. Great webcam. I has two stands one is flexible and can be placed on flat sufaces, laptops and LCD flat panels. Another one can be used to place on flat surfaces as shwon in the picture.

I purchased both the Quickcam Communicate STX and the Quickcam Pro 4000 - since it was difficult to distinguish between the two based on the listed specifications alone. The Quickcam Pro 4000 produces a far better image - especially in low light. The Pro 4000 also has a far wider field of view. It is this wider field of view that enables the Pro 4000 software to zoom in your face digitally within this wider field of view. You can, of course, turn off the face tracking feature and see the whole wider field of view if you wish. Although not listed in the description online - the Pro, as well as the STX, include an extra flexible base that works well on both flat screen displays and CRTs. I found that the STX had too narrow a field of view to capture a useful picture when I was sitting close to my monitor/camera. In all aspects the Quickcam Pro 4000 is worth the extra cost of $79 versus $49 in my case.
