Our StreetPilot "c-series" GPS navigators feature a simple touchscreen interface, with automatic route calculation to any destination and turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions along the way. Selecting a destination is straightforward and requires only a limited amount of input from the user. Plus, the StreetPilot c330 allows you to choose between a three-dimensional navigation view or the more traditional “bird’s eye” overhead view.

For the ultimate out-of-the-box convenience, the StreetPilot c330 comes preprogrammed with highly detailed City Navigator® street data. The database features nearly six million points of interest—including hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs, and attractions.

As an added benefit, import customized points of interest with the help of Garmin's free POI Loader software. The possibilities are endless — upload safety cameras or school zones, and you will receive a warning if you are traveling too fast. In addition, an optional proximity-alert feature notifies you of upcoming custom POIs.

The centerpiece of the c330 is a bright, 3.5-inch diagonal, 16-bit color display that makes navigation a snap. The unit also features dual integrated speakers for high-quality voice prompts, and an internal lithium-ion battery for out-of-car route planning.

The new StreetPilot c-series boasts distinctive and sleek styling—the only buttons are a rotary volume knob and an on/off switch. The device is secured by a suction-mount cradle that fastens to the windshield for easy portability between vehicles. Users can customize their unit’s appearance with an array of colored faceplates (sold separately).

New! Our Asian Americas version of the StreetPilot c330 features an Asian language user interface — perfect for North American motorists who wish to navigate in their native tongue. Menus, text, and turn-by-turn voice prompted directions are now available in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, or Taiwanese.

3 of 5 Check Map Version Before you Buy! Sunday, May 04, 2008
delgran from Roswell, GA
I purchased the "Reconditioned" version of the c330 so my comments are based on the unit I received. However, this unit is twice the $150 price I paid. Unit I received is as good as new. This listing specifies the v7 map which is 3 years old and although the item I purchsased didn't specify, I received the v8 map which is two years old. This unit ships with the v8 map which is the 2007 Release. The 2009 version is now available so the pre-loaded map is two years old. This is really noticeable when you search for POI's for businesses. For example, my closest Radio Shack has been there for at least 3 years and is not included even though more distant stores are included. If I search for "Sprint PCS", the closest store is now closed, the next closest is also closed and the actual closest store is not included. Before purchasing on April 29, 2008, I called Garmin Tech Support at 800-800-1020 and was assured that when I registered the c330 that if it didn't have the 2009 map, I would receive an email notifying me that I was eligible for a free update. When I registered on May 1, my email confirmation did not say anything about a free update. Since the pre-loaded map was v8, I assumed that v8 meant 2008 but it is really the 2007 version which was the current version between June 2006 and May 2007. When I first called Garmin Tech Support on May 2, Robert told me that they had just been told the c330 was not elgible for a free map update on May 1, 2008 and it was very frustrating for Garmin Tech Support as he fully sympathized with my expectations after being told it would be eligible for the free 2009 version update. After transferring to Robert's supervisior "Graeme", I was then told the c330 had been discontinued and had not been manufactured for 18 months and the unit wasn't even eligible for the 2008 update released about May 2007. Graeme later called me back and said they could not find any employee named "Canyon" and had no record of my April 29, 2008 phone call. I offered to provide a copy from my telephone log that includes the phone number, start time, and duration of the call. With the knowledge I had from 45 minutes of discussions and 3 pages of notes, telephone log, etc. it was obvious that Garmin was not interested in the facts. Most companies would have honored what their employees told customers even if it was wrong. Graeme also pointed out that Buy.com is not a authorized distributor of Garmin products. Graeme acted like since you only paid $150, you shouldn't expect the current version. He wasn't aware that the StreetPilot c330 is still shown as a current model on the model comparison page that I used at http://www8.garmin.com/mobile/compare.jsp. Since I had done considerable pre-purchase due diligence including a 45 minute call with "Canyon" at Garmin tech support, I was very disappointed by Garmin's position regarding the free map update. Worse yet, the supervisor said it had not been eligable for a free update for over a year and yet I was told that it was eligible the day I ordered and two days before I registered the c300 on Garmin web site. An additional item of interest is that the internal memory is not sufficient to contain all of either the 2008 or 2009 map which is probably the main reason it was discontinued. However, the c330 I received has a SD slot which I am told supports 2 GB max. I was also told that the internal memory is a little less than 1 GB and that the 2009 map is about 1.5 GB. With an update, you will be able to load most of the map (lower 48) into the internal memory and the balance onto a SD card which is not included with the c330. I am told the update that I ordered won't be shipped for 4-6 weeks so can not confirm. One option would be to purchase the c550 for $180 since I was told that it had not been discontinued. However, I would obtain something in writing from Garmin that it was eligible for the 2009 map update. In conclusion, the Garmin GPS units are a great product, tech support is easliy accessible but be sure you understand the version of the map which you will be receiving. Another Buy.com listing for the c330 (non-refurbished) for $300 specifies the v7 map which is 3 years old. Most of the listings do not specify which version of the map you will receive. Map updates are $70 from Garmin but available for less from Buy.com.

5 of 5 Better than money paid Tuesday, February 26, 2008
Customer from Seattle
This is my first GPS and as usual I did a lot of research. I was looking for a GPS unit thats Sturdy, Accurate and contains latest information. I was amazed by this GPS unit. Dead accurate even on unknown beach side. Its very sturdy and tells you street name not the number. Spell location by name is a great feature specially when u don't know the city name and address and POI database is huge. Cons: Sometimes it tells you to turn just before you have to turn. so may not find enough time to turn if you are on a good speed. I had few problem with this initially but as I become habitual after a week there is no issue. Charger fits on the Dock not on device but again no issues for me as battery last upto several hours so can use without charging. Last thing sometime it takes time to catch the sattelite but mind it its way better than other Garmin and TomTom my friends have. I can easily give a 4.5. Recommended for someone looking just for a Good GPS.

Richard from Tulsa,Okla
I Bought my unit because i was planning a trip to an area that i had no idea where it was .. on the way the unit told my every turn without fail and got me there in record time, as far as the software being up to date, it seems to be the most updated there is on the market..I LOVE THE UNIT!!!! If you don't have alot of money to spend the c330 is the way to go...if have the funds to buy your ipod and bluetooth systems you might have the funds to spring for a better unit but WHY...buy one and never be lost again

5 of 5 The C330 is ready to go, easy to use Wednesday, December 05, 2007
mtbmed from Sheboygan, Wisconsin
I liked how it is ready to go right outa the box. Takes about 2 minutes to setup. Setup and use is intuitive with simple, easy to follow icons to use on the touch screen. Bright and easy to see screen in all light conditions. Makes travel so much less stressful. We especially like going to random restaurants it recommends. We've been to places we would never have stopped and enjoyed the new routes.

4 of 5 Easy to use, great bang for the buck Wednesday, November 28, 2007
A Customer from Denville, NJ
I bought the C330 for my daughter since She was always calling me at all hours looking for directions when she got lost. The C330 is easy to use and was fairly accurate with directions. I was so impressed with the unit, I ordered one for my wife and one for my in-laws. My only complaint was the maps are outdated and needed to be updated. The updated mpas cost an additional $65 and you can only use the update on one GPS... Other then that the C330 is a great buy...

5 of 5 Excellent Product Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Craig from East Brunswick, NJ
I received my device a few weeks ago. I really cant complain about it. I should have waited a few weeks to get the C340, which has the street name turn, but otherwise its a great product and accurate too. In most, it does take you the fastest route, which may not be the shortest route. Either way, for the price, it get you to where you want. Only piece of advice, is turn on the unit a few mintues before you need to leave. Mine usually takes 5 min to find the satellite. OH, if you are driving in NYC, it does NOT work well. The buildings block the signal.

5 of 5 Pack your bags! Tuesday, October 09, 2007
Andrea from Newark, NJ
We always get lost when going places. My son brought the Garmin and I used it. I was so happy to see how easy it is to operate and the directions are very clear. If you get detoured then it reroutes you. I am no longer afraid to venture out alone. I never leave home without it. I love this product and would recommend it to everyone I know. As a matter of fact I already did. For the price you can't beat it. Since it is portable it can transferred from car to car, unlike the built in one, when you give up the car it goes along with it. Whoever thought of this is a genius!!

5 of 5 Love My StreetPilot Tuesday, September 25, 2007
A Customer from Marion County, Florida
I read many reviews on several different mobile GPS receivers before purchasing my Garmin StreetPilot c330. The reviews were right on. The c330 StreetPilot is ready to use right out of the box. The touch screen is easy to read and simple to use. It's a comfort knowing it will get me where I need to go with no stress!

4 of 5 Satellite reception OK, but could be better Tuesday, September 25, 2007
Bill from New Jersey
The Garmin C330 has been great at helping me find my way in strange places, is very easy to use, but often loses satellite reception for a short time - not long enough to get me lost. I'm very pleased.

5 of 5 The best i ever put my money into! Friday, September 14, 2007
dolbhy1 from ILLINOIS
I bought this for my dad, being a guy who doesn't speak English and don't know how to go by himself. He is so happy with it because it's so easy to use, it will automatically find address combinations and easy to follow steps and if you are lost, just press the back home button and it will take u home. it's that simple. i even use it to find place that i have to go an so far i have no problem finding places and it's just picture perfect.

5 of 5 Excellent buy for the money Monday, September 10, 2007
Tony D from York, PA
My C330 was exactly what I was looking for. The price from BUY.COM was the best I could find. The setup was a no-brainer, it acquires satellites quickly, and I have not lost reception anywhere I travel in PA, MD, and NJ. My only complaint is the pre-loaded maps are old.

4 of 5 Good, basic unit Monday, September 10, 2007
A Customer from Washington, DC
This was the second GPS unit we've purchased. The other unit, Garmin NUVI 360, is for my wife's car. This one was for me. The interface on both is very functional. You enter the address you want to go to and push GO. The big difference is that, in this one, you can see where you are... but you can't browse the map to see the rest of the route. You can do that on the NUVI. The travel planner info is crucial. You can look up hotels, restaurants, churches and schools in the vicinity of your location. VERY helpful. Body is bulky. NUVI slips into your pocket. This is a big wedge. If you're looking for a basic unit, I recommend this one. If you're looking for something with extra bells and whistles, spring for the NUVI.

5 of 5 Excellent Product!! straight out the box. Tuesday, August 21, 2007
RobW from Parlin, NJ
I had purchased this product as I need to travel and was tired of getting lost in other states. This product has allowed me to travel and get around as if I am native to that area. I have even had people call me to ask how to get somewhere due to the accuracy in which this product delivers you to your destination. One of the best purchases I have made this year and its' battery life an size only adds to pros of this product. A true steal and excellent navigator.

5 of 5 A great gps Saturday, August 18, 2007
Karon from Tulsa, OK
I'd been wanting a GPS for some time, and finally found a price that I was willing to pay. The C330 is truly a plug & play item - right out of the box it was very easy to figure out and use. I've not had to use it anywhere that I am totally unfamiliar with yet, but in my travels around my area it has done a great job. I know several people who have this same model, and all say that if for some reason they lost theirs today, they'd go directly and buy another one. The biggest problem I've had is deciding where is the best place to mount in my car while using; I've finally got that figured out and absolutely love this unit. A word of warning: don't leave the unit out in the open in an unattended car - or it will be gone!

5 of 5 Fabulous Gadget for Direction Challenged! Tuesday, August 14, 2007
Clare S. Lavorgna from Lafayette, LA
I can't say enough about how easy this gadget is. I know it will give me great securing this fall when I drive cross country. We used it on a short trip to the beach and found everything easily by programming in the addresses we needed. I found banks this way, etc. Easy to use, voice clear. Great value.

3 of 5 You Get What You Pay For Sunday, August 12, 2007
A Customer from Oswego, IL
We have had a more expensive version of the Garmin and are dissapointed with the lack of ease that this Garmin runs, It does not save the last city you put in, it does not tell you what street you are turning on and many times you pass the street because it does not give enough warning. Overall I feel that you get what you pay for and for the price this one functions well.

5 of 5 Good basic unit Friday, August 10, 2007
Mike from Wichita KS
We purchased ours in advance of a trip to the Baltimore / Washington DC area. Since then, we've also used it for local errands in the Wichita KS area. The unit has a very intuitive menu structure, and is very easy to see when driving. Instructions / prompts are clear, with voice options. The only issue we ran into was when we drove to rural locations (example, the Strausburg Railroad in Lancaster County PA) the mapping program could not quite find the street address for the location. We could get close but not quite there. In addition, you need the street address for all locations, you can't just have it get you to a city location, which would have been handy when visiting smaller locations or scenic areas. But, given the cost, I think it's totally a great unit, even with these quirks. I think we'll get lots of use out of it over the next few years.

5 of 5 Easy to use GPS Thursday, July 05, 2007
A Customer from Coral Springs, FL
The Garmin GPS is very easy to use and install. It gives clear directions and adding addresses is simple and straight forward. It does not have 'bells & whistles' (e.g. Bluetooth, iPod connections, etc.) but I wanted a GPS device, not an entretainment center! Highly recommended!

5 of 5 Everything I wanted! Thursday, May 31, 2007
A Customer from Atlanta, GA
I was first introduced to this product for $9 in my Av!s rental car and was hooked. When I called my car dealer to find out how much it would cost to install a GPS system, they quoted me $2,000. Finding this here online, I immediately purchased it for $277. Straight out of the box, it's been wonderful to use. A pleasant voice warning of upcoming turns (left turn advance warnings are especially helpful), great maps, and other points of interest. Some things do not show up (Watercolor, FL, for example), but a great product at a great price.

5 of 5 Good Product and Great Value Sunday, May 13, 2007
wallydut from DeWitt, MI
The C330 is a perfect companion for anyone who travels a lot to new places. It provides clear directions with the voice prompts and the more detailed printed screen directions are very easy to read. The ability to quickly recalculate the route when traffic or construction block the primary route is invaluable and saves loads of time. The unit is easy and simple to operate. Worth every penny!

5 of 5 You will be asking your friends to buy this stuff! Saturday, May 12, 2007
A Customer from Rochester, NY
Probably the last time I got so excited over something was with my first SLR camera eons ago. I remember the excitement of being able to look through the lens and seeing exactly what image is being captured. This Garmin unit is superlative. Keying in addresses is a cinch. Searching for parks where your kid has a soccer game or schools or restaurants or malls is easy. The screen is clear and attaches so easily to your car windshield. Everything works. You can cycle through and check your route by using the touch screen. If you miss a step or if you want to force an alternate route, no problem, the unit recalibrates in a few seconds. What can make this unit better? The ability to input directions in your computer and download via a flash card. The ability to use the same software on your computer to check on routes and points of interest prior to your trip. Better visuals for enlarged maps so you can get the big picture of where you are headed. The ability to buy maps for Europe at a price significantly less than the price of the entire unit! All these would be icing on the cake and perhaps by the time I buy a new unit in a few years would be standard.

5 of 5 No frills? No problem! Thursday, April 19, 2007
Jason Chambliss from Tampa, FL
This is EXACTLY what I needed. I am a cable installer and, naturally, my route changes daily. The C330 may not have all the features of the more expensive models, but who cares? I don't need to HEAR the street names (a feature you get with the C340) nor do I need to use the unit as a hands-free device for my phone. Some of the more expensive models also feature a built-in MP3 player.... with 1 speaker. Yeah, no thanks. Bottom line: The C330 functions as a navigational GPS as well as the $500+ models. Enjoy.

5 of 5 Very nice, two minor problems Monday, March 05, 2007
A Customer from Philadelphia, PA
Very good product, at $300 the best deal out there hands down. I only have 2 quips with mine. First, some of the points of interest are not in the database - my gym, which has been around for over 2 years - is not in, although all of the other LA Fitness locations in the area are. I don't know whether this is an individual location problem, or if the database isn't updated very often, but there it is. Second, I can't seem to find a good place on the windshield to place the unit (don't want to mount it to the dashboard b/c the car is leased, and from what I understand, you can't remove it later without serious damage). For me, on the left of the steering wheel would be ideal for placement of the NAV unit, but then the cord must go around the steering wheel to the 12V socket - not safe. On the right, in the middle of the windshield is better, but it becomes hard to reach or else blocks some of the driver's view (despite its small size) of the road. Otherwise, great unit.

5 of 5 Far Superior product Thursday, March 01, 2007
Adam from Tampa, FL
In my line of work, TV News, time is of the essence. Getting to the story is half the battle. Getting there first is paramount. I have been a GPS user for nearly 5 years now. I started out with the Garmin V and grew tired of loading maps from region to region. When I switched over to the C330 it was like I had been reborn. The ease of use was like a breath of fresh air. I travel all over the country and in many occasions I have no idea which way is up. Well with this thing I no longer worry if I will make it to the story. I just plug in my C330 and off I go. I even found it extra helpful in New Orleans and Mobile, AL where entire streets were wiped out from Hurricane Katrina. The ease of transporting it from car to car is fabulous. Finding restaurants in cities I don't know is a great feature as well as their phone numbers to call in a take-out order or make reservations. My one complaint also is it will not list the GPS Coordinates like the Garmin V would. I sometimes need it to bring my Helicopter. But I think I will survive without it. If you don't have one of these by now GET ONE. They have become more and more affordable. I have convinced 8 others on my staff to purchase one for themselves as well.

5 of 5 Best for the money! Saturday, February 10, 2007
Ariston from John's Creek, Georgia
The Garmin is superior in every way. It cost a little more, but you get great reception (it even works sitting in my cupholder), it is rechargeable (the magellan was not), you get a better interface (the menus are much easier to navigate), a far superior window mount (it never comes off), and the power cord plugs into the window mount instead of the gps unit, ensuring the weight of the cord doesn't wear down the plug-in. You can get more features such as bluetooth, text-to-speech, and traffic updates with more expensive models. But for the money, this one is the best. My one complaint is that it will not give you coordinates for your current position, which I need for my job.

5 of 5 Not Lost in Texas Thursday, January 18, 2007
Ken Gilgore from Denton, Texas
We moved from the east coast to Texas about 3 months ago. Travel here is much different than in a civilized area, and I was getting lost everyday. Now I plug in my Street Pilot, type in the address, and a woman's voice tells me where and when to turn. If I can't get in the lane to make the turn she recalculates the directions and off we go. Finding a McDonald's is easier and the GPS even tells you which McDonald's you are closest to.

5 of 5 GPS Nav Tool for the Masses Wednesday, January 17, 2007
A Customer from Honolulu, Hi
Purchased the C330. Installed it. Turned it on. Started navigation. Simple, effective, useful. Once you use it, you'll never know how you lived without it. It should be installed on every vehicle...and will in a few years. Map is an April 2006 update...and except for a couple very new restaurants/places...it has had what I need. While I don't always agree with the route it picks out for places I know...it recomputes and gets new directions quickly (like 5 seconds). I have no fear of using this in a completely unknown location and getting there. Maybe not as quick/direct as the locals...but it will get you there.

5 of 5 Excellent product for the money Wednesday, January 17, 2007
Mike L from Georgetown, TX
I love this GPS! Simple and User Friendly. Maps are easy to read and Voice commands are appropriate. My only issue is that the map appears to be about 24 months behind and the annual updates are pricey (about$ 75). Otherwise, this is fun and easy to use. I especially like the "detour" option. It has saved my bacon already once.

5 of 5 One Nice GPS Friday, January 12, 2007
Trish from Climax, Michigan
I love my new GPS. Even though I haven't tested it out to it's maximum capability, so far it's really impressed me with its ease of use and functionality. I would buy this one all over again.

5 of 5 Will Never Get Lost Again. Tuesday, January 09, 2007
Dave Gonzalez from Hasbrouck Heights
Right out of the box, ready to go. My first day , I put in addresses of places I knew how to get to. As I traveled I would change direction and the Garmin 330 recalculated quickly. I love this device. Works well in inclimate weather. The best purchase I've ever made. The best money I've ever spent

5 of 5 Worth it's weight in gold. Thursday, January 04, 2007
Tom Gonzales from Elizabethtown, Pa.
I travel around the entire state of Pennsylvania and some of the surrounding states for work and was looking for an inexpensive good functioning GPS unit. Upon receiving this unit, I set it up in a matter of minutes and went for a drive to test it out. I was amazed at how accurate it was and how up to date it was right out of the box. The battery life is great. I charge it with the cable provided. Also the mini usb cord is the same one that my phone uses so I don't have to clutter up my car with multiple power supplies. There are also some updates that can be downloaded via Garmin.com and even they are easy to load. The system to me, has already paid for itself. The detour button is priceless. I was caught in traffic 3 miles long, pushed the detour button, followed the instructions and was on my way home. I really don't know why I have gone this long without one. Would definitely recommend to all my friends.

5 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, January 02, 2007
Jeff from Port Ludlow, WA
I bought the c330 as a gift for my father who always wanted a GPS unit for the car. Researched all around the net and found that Buy.com had the best price. Ran into a couple of minor issues with the credit card information when ordering. Shipped and arrived in the promised time frame. Got to play around with the unit on Christmas Day. After several minutes to acuire a signal, it was ready to go right out of the box. Easy to use and able to move around the menus with no difficulty. It was even easy for my dad who is not the most technically challenged person. Took it for a test drive and found that it was very accurate. My sister and her husband were so impressed with the unit that they are considering buying the c330. I would recommend buying this unit.

5 of 5 Easy to use Friday, August 25, 2006
Karl from Columbus, Ohio
This is the second GPS I've owned and by far the easiest to use. I took it right out of the box, connected it to the cigarette lighter in my car, typed in the address I wanted to go to and followed the instructions. Very easy and intuitive to use. Easy access to common searches like restaurants. Recalculates route if a turn is missed. Directs you to the correct lane on multi-lane highways. I couldn't be happier with the unit.
