5 of 5 Consumer reports rates these higher than $800 pair Tuesday, December 26, 2006

I have been wanting a pair of binoculars for quite a while. I knew I didnt want the huge or midsize ones because I needed something small to take with me on my trips to the Philippine islands. Then I got a copy of Consumer Reports and unbelievably they reviewd many different brands ranging in all sizes and costs, and they rated these binoculars higher than the $800 pairs. When I recieved them I was surprised on how small they actually were but yet felt solid and well built. When I looked thru them I was really impressed with the clarity and power. I was checking out some Canadian geese in a ponding basin near my home. The view was spectacular. Then some buildings a quarter mile away. I had to take them from my eyes a few times because it was really amazing how close they looked. What a surprise, a nice case and strap included. I haven't had a chance to really give them my vacation test but so far I think I made a very good buy. Was this review helpful?
