    It's a basic gps unit. There are not a lot of "bells and whistles" with this one but it does the job. One feature I think is cool is the ding dong/dong ding chime that sounds when you are at your turn which indicates right or left. The suction cup design is very easy to use.

    I was very pleased to the look and ease of operation of this product. It once had me go a very awkward way to my destination once, but I still got there. I could have gotten there about 5 minutes quicker, but this has only happened once. I love the trip computer that displays average speed, drive time, and trip time. I use it to see how fast I can get to work, so I am speeding more as I try to break each days record!! The first day it took me 24 minutes, and can make it in 19 now. I am so very proud of myself. Anyway, get this unit and you should be pleased.

    I'm very happy with this product. Although the map is not updateable and it had some wrong directions, it was quick to reroute. It's very user friendly and fun to navigate with. Definitely a good investment!

    took a little time to figure out what all of the icons where and how to use them. After playing with it for a couple of hours I had it figured out though. put it to use within the week. Spring break trip to st. louis it worked very good the only complaint is that it could alert the user a little bit earlier about interstate exits. when your cruising at 70MPH down the interstate it seems to not respond as quickly as the user might want it to.

    I purchased this product and when it arrived went right out to try it. Nothing happened. Had to go to Magellan.com, get a R/A number and send it to them. Waited a week to get a replacement sent. You only have 30 days from the date of purchase so if you have a problem act quickly. Second unit works great.

    This thing works great. I can drive in a totally unfamiliar area with no stress or worry did I miss my turn? My family loves it too! Just with the suction cup would stick to my windshield for mounting it.

    There should be no compliants about this GPS if you want the basics. For real, how much distraction do you need while driving anyway? If it's taking too long to recalculate your route, pay more attention! Just stop, you're lost anyway!! GPS is not meant to replace common sense. Anyway, it is small, sturdy, and does what it is supposed to do. Do not fear the "reconditioned" tag - there was no difference with mine.

    I am using this product since last 15 days. I don't have any problem as on today except it takes lot of time to recalculate teh route. I have not received my rebate check yet so I am holding little back on overall value. If I receive a check then I would say that overall the product is very good for the price. This is my first GPS and I think it is a good bargain.

    While that is true, it has nothing to do with the Magellan I purchased. The gps unit it great. I have used the unit (huh huh... I said unit) on two trips. It performed very well. There was a relatively new highway (355 West of Chicago) that was not in the data base of the gps unit. I will be trying to update the gps unit.

    I have used it only for a few days and it works fine in the small town I'm in (Fort Wayne, IN). Seems to be a great buy for the price ($49 after $20 rebate);also has the latest map. Initially could not get the suction cup to stick to the wind shield but found that if force is applied on the small projection behind the suction cup (while the suction cup is pressed against the windshield) and then you push the lever down it sticks. As far as recalculating route.... I took a different route a couple of times and it seemed to recalculate within a few seconds. By the way this is my first GPS but I have had the chance to use other GPSs from my friends. I like the sleek form factor. No regrets so far....

    I've had the device for some time now and it is the worst GPS I've ever had. I've brought several others also and this one by far is the worst. It take between 30 Seconds to 3 min. to recalculate if you miss your turn. So if your the type of person that's on the road all day I, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE.

    I am amazed by this product. I was able to use it right out of the box. Very simple...even my technically challenged fiance (who I bought it for) was able to use it with no problems. Got a great deal on it too from buy.com. It was refurbished but you wouldn't know it. Best buy I've made in years.
