5 of 5 It works great Thursday, February 12, 2009
michelle from Midway, Florida

I just bought my navigon a couple of weeks ago, and it is user friendly. I love the way everything is setup and so easy to use. The information is updated and gives me everything I need for my road trips, I have had no problems with this navigation system so far. I love it.

4 of 5 Kinda slow, but works! Saturday, September 06, 2008
Despierten from Silver Spring, MD
The GPS works well. I am glad I did not spend much more money on some other brand. My brother bought a Garmin and I like mine better. Clear picture, clear voice commands. However, I dislike how slow the interface is. When using the touchscreen to select my destination, it takes a long time for the GPS to recognize each letter or number I select. Typing in an address can take a good 3-5 minutes, when it should be easy 1-2-3. Oh well, just remember if you need to type in an address, pull over and take your time selecting each character.

5 of 5 I love my 2100 Thursday, August 14, 2008
Dino3721 from Omaha, NE
I bought this GPS from another site, but since I bought mine I have bought my sister one, and a friend one. I love this unit. It is fast, acurate and has features that PGS unites twice the price doesn't have. I did download the updated software. It takes 2-3 minutes to sync up but after that I am ready to go. I bought the traffic feature seperate. I love the 3-d view, the night view is handy also. Most of all I like the the speed limit warning and display. Also the confusing intersection view is a great feature, I have not seen with other units. The manual is availble online but really it is easy touse out of the box. I highly recommend.

5 of 5 Better than Garmin, never miss the exit. Saturday, July 19, 2008
zmj from Rochester,mn
It is very easy to use and the POI is much enough.I used three models of Garmin GPS which made me missing the exit in the highway every time. For this reason my husband alway quarrel with me.But I never miss the exits with this one that is why I love it. The only bad thing is it takes a long time to get the signal, sometimes over 10min.Maybe because the satellites are above the Europe not USA? But as soon as it gets a signal, it works very well.

4 of 5 Awesome GPS For The Price Thursday, July 10, 2008
Shah from Houston TX
I received mine today. Aside from the fact that I had hard time in entering/saving the address (you have to tap on Start Navigation to save it, there is no save button as such), the unit worked great. Showed my current destination within a few seconds after completing bootup. The route calculation was fast. Data entry from suggestions is great. The spoken instructions were clear. And oh, "now turn left" and "now turn right" right at the turn is awesome. I am liking it so far. Other thing I did not like was no manual. I guess they are saving money by keeping the box smaller and lighter. I had to print it from their website. Overall nice little GPS. Liking it so far.

5 of 5 Great device! Sunday, June 22, 2008
orlantho from Houston, TX
This is a great tool! It saves you a lot of gallons of gasoline when driving. I like it. One of the cons that I have found is that it has freezed twice since I got it (a month ago). I have to turn if off and on. Don't like that it takes 6 hours to fully charge it and use it only for 3.5 hours. Have thousands of locations, very useful. The 3d view is great.

3 of 5 Excellent value BUT.... Monday, June 09, 2008
Ray from Nutley NJ
I've used this Navigin on a trip to CA and served us well. Although this unit has exceptional features and is otherwise a good value, there is one serious downside- it takes too long to get a GPS signal when you turn it on. No matter where I am- in CA or NJ or NY, sometimes it takes more than 5 minutes to get a signal and I have to park the car and wait for a signal sometimes. Frustrating! But as soon as it gets a signal, it works like a charm.

4 of 5 Traffic free? MAP included N. America? Wednesday, April 02, 2008
Salman from Fargo, ND
Hi, After reading the review "fantastic gps! traffic feature insanely nice Monday, December 03, 2007" I ordered the GPS...but soon I found out from the Navigon site that the traffic feature is NOT FREE for 2100! and also the MAP is only for lower 48 states! Did they upgraded this MAP for the entire continent? and also have they made the traffic feature free for this 2100 model?

5 of 5 Navigon 2100 Saturday, March 22, 2008
Nicolas from Minneapolis, MN
I was very impressed with the product. Pros: Extremely user-friendly. Fairly Affordable being under 200. Durable, sleek, glossy, and extremely thin design. Durable car mount. Easy to use when connecting to pc for system updates. Cons: Did not come with its own usb-mini b computer cable. If you are still searching for a car or travelor's GPS, look no further. This will be your best buy.

5 of 5 Fits in your shirt pocket! Friday, March 14, 2008
A Customer from Salt Lake City, UT
I travel a lot, want something truly portable, and don't need all the fancy stuff. This little unit fits in my shirt pocket, yet the screen size is sufficient to show a vivid picture with plenty of detail. Overall it is very accurate, though every now and then it can get confused. Example: it once told me to turn right on a clover leaf entrance to a freeway. There was no clover leaf; the entrance was actually to the left. Takes a few moments to acquire satellite reception, but once connected, it holds onto it. Makes very quick recalculations if you vary from the prescribed route. The text-to-voice feature works well and is an unexpected plus for a navigational unit this inexpensive. The Navigon 2100 is small. It's inexpensive. It's just what you need if you travel frequently and don't want to stuff a big, clunky unit into your briefcase along with everything else you need to carry.

5 of 5 Excellent for the price Tuesday, March 11, 2008
A Customer from San Leandro, CA
The Navigon 2100 works right out of the box and its sleek and slender design is pleasing to the eye. The screen is sharp and the touch-screen is more responsive than the Garmin Nuvi. The text-to-speech feature is a must in a GPS device since it's better to get a street name than having to eyeball "300 yards" and finding this feature in a GPS portable device under $150 is a great deal. The 3D feature truly simplifies navigation in complex intersections especially for people who have never used a GPS device before. It has a "speed caution" feature that tells you when you are going 10 mi. above the speed limit and while this can get annoying very quickly it can make you aware of your speed in unfamiliar roads, potentially saving you an encounter with the local police. The POI list is great and accurate for the most part. The interface is less intuitive than the Garmin but so far everyone in my family has been able to use it without problems. This device does not play MP3's, Movies, Photos or anything of the sort. It is a great, basic GPS portable that is easy to use and does what is supposed to do with the same efficacy (sometimes better) than more expensive devices.

5 of 5 Fantastic little GPS Monday, March 03, 2008
A Customer from Hudson, NH
In comparison to other GPS units, this Navigon is by far the best unit under $600. Here's my story... I bought this GPS unit for my vacation in CA. got there and found out my father-in-law bought a high-end Tom Tom so my brother-in-law took the Tom Tom in the other van and we drove to San Francisco. Stopped at Fishermans Wharf, then on to the Golden Gate Bridge. Navigon found it and drew a route straight to it. Tom Tom doesn't even have the Gloden Gate bridge as a POI. I wonder what else Tom Tom doesn't have. My brother-in-law bought a Navigon

5 of 5 fantastic gps! traffic feature insanely nice Monday, December 03, 2007
Anonymous from Phoenix, AZ
I bought this gps a few weeks ago and can't say enough good things about it. I've tried Garmins, Magellans, and TomToms in the past and must say this is my favorite by far. The lifetime traffic feature (ask for it to be included when you go shopping!) is amazing. It re-routes you around bad traffic, asks you if you want to be re-routed, shows you all traffic events in a nearby radius, and even shows whether the traffic is slow or stopped. The 3-D view on this is fantastic-- it really helps with confusing intersections and is easy to read. It's much smaller (and therefore more portable) than the Garmins in this price range, which means you can carry it in your purse or easily lock it in the glove box. The voice is clear and easy to understand. No problems with volume. The maps are accurate. I've only experienced one time when it told me to go the wrong way. The only feature I don't like is that the mount is kind of tricky to get used to and a little more difficult than the Garmin or Magellan. It snaps into the mount and is hard to see at night when you try to snap it in. With the clear screen, traffic feature (FOR FREE), lots of logo-POIs and the snazzy slim look, this is the best.

5 of 5 Great Things Come in Small Packages Friday, November 23, 2007
Mr Fixit from Burlington ,NJ
Right out of the box it was obvious this product is high quality.I purchased this because of the price and the great reviews from the other Navigon products. The unit powered up easily and found my location within a few seconds. The unit is small but it has many features that larger units do not have. The sensitivity of the screen is great and very easy to use.The screen shows diffrent views which are easily selected by touching on on the screen while in use. I have had this unit less than one day and already it proves to be superior to any unit I have used in the past.

5 of 5 Great for the money Wednesday, November 14, 2007
Shlurpee from Notre Dame
Here is what I like and don't like. This is exactly what you want from a GPS unit, text to speech, mulit-route trips. Quick reroutes, and the unique real-view shots of big intersections. What I wish it had was a built in charging mount on the windshield mount. What I mean is garmin has the charger built into the mount, with this you place the navigon into the mount and then plug in the charger. But overall I like it, I don't want an mp3 player and photo viewer on my GPS and I didn't want to pay for it...so that is why I went with the navigon. One major downside is the fewer POI's. But I can live with that.
