My notebook speakers were poor at best. The Logitech rebate makes this speaker very affordable - the sound is great - the size is small. Read another reviewer who claimed poor sound quality. Not so - full range of highs/lows - bass/treble. Try connecting directly to your computer. The USB hub may be your problem. I love this speaker system. Highly recommend it.

This audiohub is such a great value. I was able to pick it up for $32 after GCO and rebate. The sound is very good for this type of system and is plenty loud. Set up was really easy. It also freed up a lot of space using it as a USB hub. The cable organizer on the back was very helpful. Overall, it was just a great value.

It greatly improves the sound when compared to the notebook's built-in speakers. The Logitech rebate makes it more affordable. And...Logitech is very good at redeeming rebates on time. Contrast them with MGE, makers of XGbox who fraudently do not redeem properly completed rebates, even though they acknowledge timely and proper receipt of them. Check them out on the web before purchasing their products.

A great improvement over the puny sound system built into the Notebook. And Logitech is honest with sending Rebates. (Not like MGE, parent company of XGbox, who have acknowledged timely receipt of the rebate forms, but have fraudently stiffed me and lots of others who have sent in rebates for their products. Just check the web, and you'll find out for yourself. I'll buy Logitech, but never anything from MGE again).

A great improvement over the standard speakers in my MacBook. Simply plug and go. Reasonable bass. Well worth the money; especially, after receipt of the rebate.

I am not sure what the other reviewers were expecting. I bought this set of speakers for $30 after rebate & I think they sound great for the money. I have 2 Ultra portables ( Toshiba U200 & an Acer Ferrari 1004- both XP Pro & both with 12" screens). Maybe these Ultra Portables have much smaller speakers than the larger laptops - but the installed speakers are pretty anemic & this Logitech system is a VAST improvement!!! I almost ordered 2 ea. Of this set when I ordered , but decided to wait till I got them & could listen to them before buying the second set. After doing so for about 10 minutes I logged on to order the second set & unfortunately the price had gone up. I am checking several times a day hoping the price will go back down to what I paid for my first set-> HOWEVER <- I like them so much I might decided to go ahead & pay the higher price as it is still a hell of a deal even at the currant price. At least with these speakers I can listen to music & books on these ultra portables with out using headphones + I can hear it while I walk into other rooms in my home, something I could NOT do before. BTW --> Logitech allows 2 rebates per household -->From the high desert of New Mexico . . .-> Terry

Easy to connect and good concept adding USB hub, but horrible sound quality. Tinny; sounds like an old transistor radio. Delivers only low volume. Forget any idea of using this to enjoy your PC music. My old cheap PC speakers sound much better. If restocking and return shipping weren't so expensive -- $20+ -- I'd return. If rating of zero was a choice, this would be a zero. Don't waste your money like I did.

Reading the description, this speaker system sounded great: integrated USB hub, a super portable system, powered by USB; it sounded perfect to me. I received it yesterday, and I have to say I'm a little disappointed. When it said that it connects via USB cable, I also thought that meant it would not require an AC adapter--but it does. Also, with 'cable management', there is no need to plug cables into the headphone jack as all the sound is outputted to the speakers via USB cable. This is both good and bad. The lack of an auxiliary input jack is what made me give a 3 star rating. I was hoping to use this system for something besides my laptop (e.g. xbox360 hooked up to LCD monitor), but it looks like that is not possible. You're pretty much limited to PCs and laptops with this thing. Otherwise, it's decent. It looks stylish, sound is decent like any non-portable $40 set you can get from Logitech, and it's portable (except for the required AC adapter). Much better than laptop speakers
