Logitech Wave Keyboard - 920-000325 - Top Seller!

We've been using it for a few weeks now. My wife took to it right away and loves it. I've had a little harder time with it, as I've gotten quite used to the split-style keyboards for some years (though I also use "normal" keyboards regularly, too). My fingers are still a bit uncertain about where the keys are, but I expect I'll get used to it with continued exposure. However, I am very impressed by the customizability of this keyboard, which is particularly good, even for Logitech. I've had several Logitech keyboards and mice before that come with their SetPoint software, but have been disappointed at the limitations of what I could and could not actually customize about the various buttons (i.e. controlling which mail program, browser, or media player opens with the various hot-keys). This keyboard, however, really lets me get deep into the actions of each of the specialized keys, which is very, very useful. The price is okay - get it with a rebate if you can. It's on the high side for a non-wireless non-gaming keyboard. But so far it works like a charm. Once I get used to it, I expect this to be one of the better keyboards I've used.

This is my second WAVE keyboard. I have the wireless one upstairs in my house and I bought the USB for my basement PC (on sale as well and free shipping). It only took me about 2 days to get used to the feel of the layout and is very comfortable. If you ask me, it's a ergonomic 'hybrid' keyboard, since it doesn't have the split down the middle separating the left side from the right. The black piano finish on some of the board makes it looks top of the line and seals the deal. Buy one for yourself.

For the $29.99 price this is a great value. Well worth the money. This key board is extemely comfortable and fits the fingers well. A must for those who are looking to increase their typing speed. I also like the programable hot keys. The calculator hot key is cool and in the perfect place on the keyboard.

I was not looking for a wireless keyboard....they are not as accurate and take too many batteries... I looked for key touch feeling and feeling of the palm and key location. This keyboard after trying many many has the best layout for me...and alleviates what I was thinking of a carpal tunnel problem. It is a little light feeling for me, but maybe it is cause I was used to heavier clunkier keyboards, like the MS4000 wired one. It's foot print is nice....compact.

This wave keyboard is really nice. It came to our house fast after we ordered it. I installed it as fast as I could plug it in and it was up and working. You can type fast and accurate. It has a nice wrist pad and the keys have a nice sound to them as you type. If you have a stock one that came with your computer I would suggest this as an upgrade.

I have had a lot of keyboards over the years but this has the best feel to it. The curve works to put the keys at the right place. It sounds good, has many keys to program to your liking.

I bought this keyboard to replace another ergonomic one of much lesser quality. Every Logitech mouse that I have bought has been of excellent quality and especially ergonomics, so I figured the same would apply to their keyboards. And I was not disappointed. The key layout is slightly different than a standard one, but the enlarged delete key, for instance, completely makes sense, as well as the combo key driven scroll lock, a carry-over from the DOS days that I, and probably most people, haven't used in at least a decade. The keys have good action, and use approaches effortlessness. The recessed placement of the middle-finger keys takes some getting used to. Then again, any ergonomic keyboard will take some getting used to. But after a short while, its use is pretty intuitive. The eye-candy keys (those dealing with multimedia functions, etc.) don't all work under Windows without the proper driver. It has the vast majority of Mac functionality, again, with the driver installed. If you want to remap the remappable keys, then you need the driver. The ability to remap keys is not a big deal for me, so installing even more software to burden my system (not that it's noticably obtrusive to system resources) isn't a selling point for me. No Linux drivers that I can find (not that I tried), so nothing other than the raise and lower volume keys work, but the extra keys can easily be remapped in a GNOME control panel - no extra drivers required! The wrist rest feels good - not too soft. It looks pretty durable. Hopefully time won't prove me wrong. Each leg raiser states the angle by which it raises the keyboard! It has a few holes thru the keyboard - supposedly to let accidentally spilled liquids drain thru rather than sitting there. I'm slightly disappointed that it doesn't have any USB ports on it like my previous keyboard. I was able to rewire stuff so it turned out to be OK in my case. The font on the escape key looks a bit cheap. Only one Windows key, and the contextual menu key is a combo keystroke, just so you all know. The insert key is out of the way. (I never use it.) As with most keyboards, the caps lock key comes off pretty easily. I'm disappointed that the F keys are grouped in 3s rather tan 4s. I'll deal with it, tho. Also, the key layout is a little tight, and I have a relatively big finger span. However, the relatively close proximity of the keys has the potential of helping me to type faster. And I prefer this alternative to the other keyboard I considered, the slightly bigger (bulkier) Microsoft ergonomic one, which I'm sure I'd be satisfied with too, except for what I hear about the space bar (it's pretty stiff). All in all, I'm very satisfied with this keyboard. It closely meets my expectations for use, and I can tell that a lot of conscientious thought was put into making it. I paid slightly over $30 (on sale) with free shipping - which came 2 days after I ordered from Buy.com. If you must have this keyboard before it goes on sale again, and you have about $45 burning a hole in your pocket, then go for it. Otherwise, be patient for about a month or so. Either way, the price is at least fair.

The software which came with the keyboard allowed the ability to use the media keys and single-key shortcuts with the current Mac system, 10.5.6. The keyboard is large, but extremely comfortable to use with full keystrokes. I'm not a speed typist, but I do make fewer typing errors with this keyboard. I prefer keys which have a tactile feel to them rather than the thin, sleek keyboards which come with the new Macs. I also have a different brand keyboard, but the media keys on that do not function with the Mac. The Buy.Com price was awesome, but after using it, it's even worth the asking retail price, IMHO.

Very pleased! This price is decieving of the saying you get what you pay for. I was surprised considering the price I did not think I was going to get a nice keyboard. Boy was I fooled. You can't beat it and it works wonderfully. Definite recommed. Transaction wonderful as well as pkging.

This was a perfect match for my Logitech mouse, I use a ergonomic keyboard at work all day by another manufacturer that does not even come close to the comfort of this one. I really like the palm rest is silky smooth and the key response is very quiet and responsive also the setpoint software will allow you to assign multiple keys to your liking. The best part of the purchase was that it was on sale with a rebate from the manufacturer so got this jewel for half the price and shipping and transaction with Buy.com was awesome.

I tried multiple ergonomic keyboards; this one is the most comfortable for me. Two small problems: It is nice to have USB port (or couple) on the keyboard and the letters are in the middle of the keys. It is problem if you want to add labels with other characters. Other then that a great keyboard for the great price!

I've been using the board for a few weeks now. So far everything has been working. I like it a lot more than the split ergo keyboards. The keys are a bit stiff but the ones I use all the time are loosening up quite nicely. Fairly quite also. The only real issues I have is that it has a function key instead of the context menu key and they moved the insert key up where the Print Screen button resides, I'm guessing to make things look more symmetrical. The wrist rest is excellent. It's probably the best one I've had built onto a keyboard before. Logitech's SetPoint software is alright. If you have an older Logitech mouse it has a very good chance of not seeing the mouse.

Especially for the price, this is the best keyboard I have ever owned. The size and layout of these keys are wonderful, both for typing and for gaming. The response of the keys is a little soft for my taste, but it is well within comfortable range. I replaced a Logitech G11 with this, and I am much, much happier with the Wave for gaming. The keyboard has only a few lights, so don't expect it to be flashy. The keyboard has an excellent layout of accessory buttons, including media controls (including a "stop" button, which is lacking on a surprising number of keyboards) and customizable general-purpose ones. With SetPoint, you can even customize them so that they bring up menus when pressed. Also, the function keys can serve as extra shortcuts because the keyboard includes a "Fn" key on the right. The keyboard has no USB ports and only one Windows key, on the left side. The key can be disabled in SetPoint.

To my mind, any $40+ keyboard is overpriced. But getting this with a MIR was a great deal. It works easily with the standard Logitech Setpoint software. The special keys work well. They keyboard has a nice tactile feel. There are a couple of oddities about the layout, particularly the layout of the home, end, page up, page down, delete block that take some getting used to. But that is minor compared to the look and feel of the keyboard. With the right MIR, this is a great deal.

This Wave keyboard is exactly what I wanted. The slight curve the key layout is perfect and the keys are much, much quieter than a standard keyboard (although not as quiet as a laptop). The various programmable hot keys are great and are completely customizable. Great value and quality!

I needed a wireless keyboard that was contoured. This was the cheapest, and having had Logitech keyboards before, I figured it would be easy to set up. It was. There are some layout differences from "common" keyboards, but these mostly concern the advanced functions. It really doesn't take long to get used to it. I use a Microsoft keyboard on my main system, and now have two Logitech's. I think the Microsoft is just a little bit better laid out. But then again I'm used to it. The Microsoft is significantly more expensive (like 1.5x) than the Logitech. If I had to do it again, It would. I'd buy the Logitech. Equal priced, I'd take the Microsoft. This is probably the least expensive, decent wireless keyboard you'll get for the money. I haven't spilled my 20 cups of coffee on it yet, so I can't vouch for its durability.

The title says most of it: A nicely-built, comfortable keyboard, but a few layout differences from "most" keyboards make for a possibly awkward transition, or irritation if you frequently use a different keyboard as well. The function keys are subtly different, shifted to the right somewhat and grouped as four sets of three, instead of three of four - if like me you touch-type F-keys you're in trouble. Same for home/end/delete/insert/pgup/pgdn keys, which are dramatically different, and right-side meta keys. (no menu key, nor 'windows' key from some keyboards, but a "fn" key like a laptop, and right ctrl is moved leftward) If it's the only keyboard (or mostly) you use, then after a brief adjustment period you'll be fine. If like me you use a dozen different keyboards at different locations each day, it can be irritating. Also, the USB cable is shorter than usual, won't in fact reach where I used to keep my PC next to my desk... NOT, IMHO, a $40+ keyboard. Provided the rebate is really processed, it's worth the resulting price.

Keyboard is compact and functional. It has more buttons than I know how to use, but they can be reprogammed for other uses. Unfortunately it does not correct my inability to type.

Very comfortable keyboard but there's one minor irritant: the layout of the page-up/down, end, home, del keys are non-standard -- this takes a while to get used to, especially if you've been using the standard keyboard previously.

The Wave form of key placement makes for a comfortable typing position. Nice padded palm rest. It takes a little getting used to for hunt-and-peck, but not a major problem. It's big - barely fits my pull-out shelf. I like the extra buttons for zoom and view all windows. A great improvement over my original Mac keyboard. Note: there are two versions (cord and cordless). The video review showed the cordless, mine has a cord - no problem for me, but if you want cordless make sure that's what you order. Ordered on Sunday, got it on Wednesday - it doesn't get any better than that!

If you're looking for a comfortable, but not really ergonomic keyboard, this would be a good choice. It does seem to be more natural to type on it, but its not that different than a normal keyboard. Having all of the extra buttons is pretty handy and having the ability to reprogram them easily is very nice. Wish they offered it as a wireless standalone model, but no luck. Also, it would be nice if the media controls were on the side instead of the top so they would be easier to access. I'm satisfied with my purchase, but I don't know if the waviness and extra buttons are really worth $50.

I didn't pay too much attention when I bought this keyboard. I thought it would have tons of fancy shortcuts like my old keyboards...but it was my fault anyway for not paying detailed attention. In spite of that, I love the quietness when I type. It took me only a day to adjust to the wave. Overall, it's a good keyboard.

I have two of these now. I got one at my work about three weeks ago and I liked it so much that I bought one for my home computer. I come from 7+ years of using Microsoft Natural keyboards and this is a great upgrade. The wrist rest is much better and the curve in the keys is very comfortable. It isn't split in the middle so it did take a little getting used to but in two or three days I was cringing to go home to my old keyboard. I highly recommend this for anyone. The hot keys are great and the media keys worked with my media player app with no extra configuration.

I love this keyboard! It is the most comfortable keyboard I have ever used. I had no problem getting used to the different key form. The special function keys are pretty cool, too. And you can always re-assign any F-keys that you don't use. It also looks very nice. Logitech did a wonderful job on this product, very functional and it feels quite sturdy. Buy.com shipped it to me in 2 days, too! Highly recommended.

My Apple keyboard died. I'm a computer tech., and need my computer 24/7. I've always had very good luck (maybe it's more than just luck because Logitech make's high quality products). I believe Logitech has been ahead of the times when it comes to computer technology. I use Apple computers, Logitech seems to know that they can create cross platform perphials, that just work. I would highly recommend this keyboard. Although we get a standard keyboard with our computer package where I work, I am going to purchase another Logitech Wave.

I've been using an MS Natural (split) keyboard for over 10 years and find them to be very comfortable. Vista wasn't compatible with my old keyboard (won't go there) so i opted to upgrade. <br><br> <b>The good: </b> Love the interface and Logi software. very customizable and the keyboard has many programmable buttons. I also give high marks for layout of those keys. Once you learn them, they are comfortable places for each of their functions. the application flip functionality is useful as well (keyboard was designed for Vista) <br><br> Comfort wise, I was very impressed with how a non-split (yes, its curved in three dimensions) met my comfort expectations. I really only have one gripe on that... <br><br> <b>The Bad:</b> If you're used to a split keybaord, it takes some adjustment to get used to the different layout. The delete key group (above the arrow keys) is changed and that takes the most getting used to. <br><br> Having said that though, I actually like the new layout BETTER than the old one, and am just having to get used to it. <br><br> I would also add that if you are considering the switch from a 'normal' keyboard to a more ergonomic one, this is it. Easy transition and significant improvement in comfort.

This keyboard looks awesome. It has a smaller footprint than my last logitech keyboard but the keys feel really good. It has definately taken me a little bit to adjust to the wave but after a few days I feel like my fingers are flying over the keyboard. Great Product. Thanks.

The Logitech Wave was my second choice, forced upon me after I found out that the Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard was incompatible with the Logitech mouse that I prefer. (Without getting into detail, I was unable to load Microsoft's keyboard and mouse management software due to presence of Logitech's Setpoint software. Confirming this on the Web, I sent back the Microsoft product.) This Logitech keyboard has a nice feel to the keys - solid, a little bit cushioned, and just firm enough to feel good. I like the all black look of it, but I do not make use of the multi-media keys since this is my work computer and I don't use Vista. I wish that the curve of the wave and the angle of the keys was more "agressive" like the Microsoft keyboard, but I find this Logitech to be comfortable. The slightly cushioned wrist rest is also comfortable. Another wish - that the keyboard could be raised in reverse angle, with the space bar higher. The product packaging also doubles as a dust and spill cover, which I did not learn until unpacking the box.

I am someone who really likes the split keyboard designs that have become harder to find in recent years. Microsoft still makes one which I don't particularly like because the "6" is on the wrong side, and there is a very expensive but adjustable one that is custom made for Mac computers. I decided to try this one from Logitech and I really liked it. The uneven height of the keys is a great idea. It's quite comfortable once I remember the right position for my hands. I am thinking of buying another one for myself to use when I'm on my laptop at the dining room table. I did not give the keyboard a "5" because I'm very hard to please when it comes to keyboards. I find all of them slightly awkward. Also, although the price was reasonable, it was not "amazing".

I had originally purchased the Wave cordless desktop, but had problems with the mouse. The keyboard was fine, but the mouse had erratic movements and did things on it's own. I had to remove the software, but still had mouse problems. I returned it and bought the corded version of the Wave. I could not be more satisfied. I installed the LCC 2.4 software and love the functionality of the special keys and the programmability of the F Keys. I have no problems typing with it. I have a power PC iMac and have been looking for a black keyboard since I had it. I never really liked the Mac keyboard or 1 click mouse. I replaced the mouse long ago and now the keyboard. I love the Mac, OS X is heads above Windows.

Good keyboard overall. Works well with MS Media Center. I've used the MS Ergo keyboard 400 before and found MS one is a little bit better.

This is a very comfortable keyboard to use with a lot of nifty features on both the keyboard itself and on your monitor. For ex., a calendar pops up on the screen--very handy, and you can press one button to open up a calculator--much more convenient than digging for the one that comes with Microsoft. It has a lot of neat shortcut keys, too, that you can customize for your own preferences. I like the feel of the keys--solid but not sticky or "clicky." Prop up the little feet on the back to tilt it up and toward you. An excellent product for a great price!

For general typing and internet use it's working very well for me. Replaced an old MS ergo keyboard with it and I'm very happy so far. Buy.com is great for better deals than anyone around like this one!

I love this keyboard. There were mixed reviews about it all over the web, but I can use this thing for hours on end without any pain in my wrists or forearms... and that was the reason I bought it. I would recommend it for what it was made for. Also one of the smartest features I like about it is a 'hot key' for the 'calulator' directly above the 10key... Genius.

I find all Logitech products to be of great quality and value and I am rarely disappointed. The "natural curve" of this keyboard is just great and I have a hard time working on a standard "cheapo" (ie, Dell) keyboard - it just doesn't cut it. Although this keyboard takes a bit of getting used to, the key feel and layout are great. The build quality and value of this keyboard are somewhat better than the Microsoft equivalent. Highly recommended, easy setup and works well with Logitech Setpoint driver software to configure it.

The keyboard works well and is a good value for the money. the only problems i found are that the key cap inks seem to wear off on the most used keys after a year's hard use. the second item i found off was that the keyboard elevation can be only adjusted up by 1", this is a tad low. I'd buy it again and live with the issues! good keyboard, low cost!

I have this wireless keyboard at work and bought one for my home office too. I think Logitech makes the best cordless products, Microsoft can't seem to get it right. This one is very easy to set up. It takes a little while to get comfortable with the layout but once you do it is MUCH more comfortable to use. I have notices a lot less stress on my wrists. I would recommend this to anyone.

I upgraded to a vista unit, old Logitech keyboard did not have all the functionality it had with XP. So it was time to upgrade it too. This keyboard is really nice. I like the added features that are handy with Vista. Another great job by Logitech.

This keyboard has ergonomic features but they are not so different that it takes time to get used to. I use it for 8 hours a day so have given it a pretty good test. It has a pretty easy touch. Built in wrist rest is a plus. A good value, and I see that after I got mine (darn) now a rebate is offered, so even a better buy now.

I purchased this keyboard to replace the one sent with my new computer. It was the standard flat keyboard. The design of this keyboard alleviates wrist strain.

This keyboard really is better suited for anyone that uses the standard typing 'home' keys. None of the keys are larger than a standard keyboard but the ones farthest away from the 'home' keys are raised so your hands don't have to move as much to reach them and your fingers don't have to stretch as far. Logitech really did the typist a favor with this keypad.

I've been using this keyboard for a couple of months now, very comfortable. The attached wrist rest is nice. I also like the way the black color looks, although it does the dust much easier.

I bought this keyboard with some trepidation, since I had always bought "split" keyboards that allow me to keep my hands at more of an angle. But the wave placement of the keys in this one is really quite comfortable. I actually regret the more expensive keyboard I got for my Mac at work. I'm actually considering buying one or two of these as gifts.

Logitech is a great company; I just found that this style keyboard is not great for me. The special keys do not work as well as I would like them to. The cap lock key is the best key of all; you get a visual display on the monitor and a (special) letter lights up on the keyboard. It has a feature called setpoint which I have yet to determine its function.
