5 of 5 Great BBQ - Great Service!!! Thursday, July 24, 2008 Jon from Edmonds, WA
This is a replacement for a more expensive propane BBQ that turned out to be a pile of junk. The burners literally blew out in just over a year (and they were supposed to be stainless steel). This "pile of junk" was a replacement for a 11 year old propane Weber, which after 9 years, I finally had to replace the burners and ignitor. I then gave it to my brother and he is using it to this day. To be quite honest, I am kicking myself for not just buying another Weber before. Live and learn. Anyway, the S-320 is a very nice looking BBQ and it got up to an impressive 700 degrees right after hooking it up to my new gas line (I thought that was very good for a NG model). Actual cooking highs are around 650 degrees or so, which is plenty of output for me. For cooking steaks, pork and chicken, it works like a champ! I'm going to try a new seared Ahi recipe over the weekend. Mmmmm! This BBQ cooks evenly and it is easy to control the temperature after you get the hang of it. We BBQ all year around and I think the mostly stainless finish should last for many years to come (covered when not in use of course). Some of the stainless parts don't seem to be of the quality of some of the crazy expensive units like Viking or Lynx. But for the price ($869 including FREE shipping), I think it is a fine value and don't believe that those pricey units can cook a slab of meat any better. Now, for the service from buy.com. It was smooth as silk. I ordered on a Sunday night and had the BBQ on that Wednesday. Again, that was the FREE shipping. I don't think that can be beat. I received emails as to the progress of the order thoughout. I did look locally, but could not even find one place that had the S-320 NG in stock. Retailers had the non-stainless LP versions with the different color lids, but in most cases it was the same price as what I paid for stainless. Bottom line: You cannot go wrong with buying this fantastic BBQ from buy.com. Happy Grillin'! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 No more propane refills Saturday, July 19, 2008 Wayne from Worcester. PA
My old Weber never stopped working, just wanted to switch to natural gas for convenience and economy. After replacing the cooking grate and flavorizer bars on my old Weber with stainless steel, there was no going back to porcelain coated steel. This grill was everything we had hoped for. Arrived in perfect condition with the free shipping via UPS truck and after about 1 hr and several cold beers to assemble we were cooking dinner. The cabinet is great for storing the cover and SS cleaner which you will need. Cooking on natural gas is great just use a lower setting than the propane Weber. A younger coworker took my old Weber so now I can enjoy cookouts at his house. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Super BBQ - Super SERVICE from BUY.COM Monday, July 14, 2008 Jon from Edmonds, WA
This is a replacement for a more expensive BBQ that turned out to be a junker after a short 3 years (I won't go into all of that). I have had Weber gas BBQ's before and never should have strayed. This thing got up to 700 degrees first time I cranked it up! I was suprised because this one is being run on NG which I have heard does not usually run as hot as propane. My old propane BBQ when new never even approached 700 degrees (maybe 600)! It cooks evenly and is pretty easy to control the temperature. The stainless steel (or mostly stainless) is nice and I would recommend it. It may not look quite as fancy as what it replaced, but I am almost certain the burners won't blow out after 1 1/2 years like its predecessor. The last Weber I had didn't need any service (new ignitor and burners) until 9 years of HEAVY BBQin'. I gave it to my brother and it is now 13 years young and going strong. As for BUY.COM, the service was EXCELLENT! I ordered the BBQ on a Sunday night and it was delivered on that Wednesday. And the shipping was FREE! You can't beat that.... Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The Best Grill Ever Friday, June 15, 2007 Blue from New York, NY
The Weber Gneisses series grills are top grills in the market. You can get larger grills however the performance is not as good and they cost much more. The S-320 grill features all stainless rack and bars as well as a stainless exterior. The grill also features a batter operated ignition that is easier to use. If you want a stainless grill this is the best one for the money! Weber grills cook great and will last for a long time. Was this review helpful?
