Panasonic SC-PT750 5-disc DVD home theater system with 1080p DVD video upconversion and wireless link for rear speakers

This unit has everything I wanted -- good sound -- "wireless" rear sound -- and most of all, even a technodummy like me could assemble the unit. Even though I made a couple of small mistakes (carpenters call it "measure twice, cut once") all I had to do was revert back to the instructions and reread them. A good buy!

I was so surprised how fast it got here. I ordered this HT system on Monday at it was at my door on Wednesday. It was easy for me to set up and hook up to my HD TV. I have a space problem and these speakers fit quite well for me. The sound is excellent. I have a couple of music DVD's ( Eagles & BeeGees) that are incredable with this system.I saved at least $50.00 over the big box stores and did not have to cart it home.I don't think it would have fit in my Mustang.Buy.com is my electronics superstore. Great place to buy.

Yes, even I could figure out how to hook up this system to my new 42" Panasonic HDTV. Although I took a couple of wrong turns at first, it was easy to figure out where I had gone wrong, simply a case of rereading the directions. (Carpenters call it "Measure twice, cut once") -- and the home theatre system works very well. It is also a very user friendly system, allowing me the opportunity to "play around" with it and not mess anything up. This may not be the most sophisticated system out there, but it certainly suits my needs and wants extremely well.

Good quality sound output, the wireless rear speakers work great! DVD works great, especially the upconvert to HD. The sound is rich and the bass is deep, the only knock I have is the volume is a little low for cranking out music.

This was kind of a whim purchase, but I really got lucky. Very decent sound for this kind of system and I love the wireless rear speakers. Movies sound great, music sounds very good and being able to dock an ipod and XM radio is a definite bonus. DVDs look very good on my HD tv - watching Planet Earth was awesome. This is not my main home theater system, but for the familt tv it fits the bill perfectly! As always, Buy.com got it delivered super quick and at a great price.

Very pleased with this unit. The up-conversion looks great on my 37" Olevia LCD, and the sound quality is good. The only complaint I have about the sound is that the volume scale from low to high is very odd. You have to turn the volume level to at least 25 to even hear the unit, and at 40, it is uncomfortable. The two features that lead me to this unit were the up-conversion and the wireless surround speakers, and both perform well. Running wires would have been very difficult where our home theater is located so the wireless was a must. There are not a lot of good units out there with this feature at this price range. The wireless unit runs on 2.4GHz, so it knocks our wireless PC's offline while the unit is operating. This is a minor annoyance, but something to be aware of. The unit also features XM Radio tuner and iPod dock, but I cannot comment on those as I do not use them. Nice to have for the future, though.
