This is an awesome product. I have over 1500 albums, many that will never make it to CD. It was easy to set up and now my wife and I fight over what we will convert next from vinyl over to my pc. I am getting to relive my past. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Superb Performance by the Turntable Wednesday, November 28, 2007 PJForbes from Upland, California
This Audio Technica turntable delivers superb performance. It allowed me to achieve what I've been striving to do for years, i.e. connection of a turntable to my desktop to digitize my LP collection. With my Sonicstage Mastering Studio it made it very easy to accomplish my goal without an amplifier or equalizer. The built in pre-amp allows for that. Good Product. Worth the price. I don't have a huge LP collection left over from the old days, but I wanted to transfer the ones I have to CD form for ease of storage. There aren't that many simple systems out there for accomplishing this, but after considerable research, I settled on this Audio Technica system. It's a reliable name and the price was right.
The connection and transfer process was easy and effective. Unfortunately, using the Cakewalk Pyro software to edit (eliminate background noise, etc) was not. I still have not mastered that. Emailing the software company drew absolutely no response. I'll keep working on it, but I must say it has caused quite a bit of frustration at this point.
Luckily, most of my LPs are in good condition, and just transferring them will be worthwhile.
I do recommend the system, but if you don't enjoy figuring out and working with software aps, don't expect too much. Was this review helpful?

This is a complete solution for transferring all of your old Vinyl Records to CD's. It was out of the box and running within 15 minutes and the quality is great. I had priced this at Circuit City and on line, but Buy.Com had the best price and I know they have a "No Hassle" return policy. I have converted over 30 Albums in the past week and every one transferred perfectly. Was this review helpful?
