My Verizon Samsung i760 did not have a built in GPS...but the Garmin bluetooth gps worked perfectly (just a few setup steps for WinMo 6.1) in the car. I could even attach it it to my pocket and walk around with accurate positioning using Bing/Live Search. I am looking forward to trying it in the air in a Cessna 172 with Tablet PC! If you are now using a Palm Centro you will need this GPS unit. The one that Palm had for the TOM TOM will not work with the Palm Centro for the Garmin XT software (I used to have a Palm 680 and it would work with the Garmin XT sofware, I called Palm and they had change they way the Centro uses GPS, They said it was a improvement over how they did it will earlier Palm Smartphones) . . Since I bought the Garmin 10x this has been a far better GPS and has a 22 hour between recharging. It take less then a hour to recharge fully with the car charger. It also come with a belt clip which you can clip on your shirt pocket and then walk around with your Garmin XT software. Another nice feature is that this will auto power off if you stop using the Garmin XT application and forget to power off the GPS it will after a few minutes power itself off. After using both TOMTOM and Garmin -- I am sold on Garmin especially the online functions that come out of the box with Garmin and there maps are more accurate and faster. The new updated XT software for the Palm Centro has some really good features and updates. Worth getting and its free nice price. Was this review helpful?
