4 of 5 Wonderful Fryer Friday, November 13, 2009 Dennis from Porter, IN
Just finished using fryer for first time last night and this unit did EVERYTHING that was advertised. The only reason I gave it an overall satisfaction of 4 instead of 5 was the fact it was missing a timer, but that really is not a big deal at all. I have NEVER had a fryer that was easier to clean. It did not leak as stated in a couple other reviews, the only reason I think it might have done that was the use of too much oil. Again, I cannot state enough how happy I am with this purchase. 5 of 5 Execellent replacement for "old-dependable&qu Saturday, October 17, 2009 Don from Dubuque, IA
This is very nice unit. I bought a TFal fryer 18 years ago, it still worked, but it had a buildup of fried on oil on it from long term use. I was also growing tired of the work involved cleaning the oil after using it. This new TFal fryer (T-Fal FR7008002 Ultimate EZ Clean Pro) was a perfect replacement for old-dependable. I was reluctant to purchase this item after reading reviews of the auto oil cleaning feature making messes. I have NOT had any issues with that feature, I never overfill the fryer with oil. That's the only reason I can think of that would cause problems, just keep the level between the Min and Max lines. Cleanup is a breeze, everything can go into the dishwasher, except for the heating element. The build quality looks good, the element looks like a high quality element. It's a 1700 watt element, it does a decent job of keeping the oil at the selected temperature. I would reccomend this fryer to others. Just note that the fryer is bigger than it appears in the pictures. But the oil cleaning feature makes it worth the extra space consumed.

I have given this fryer a good workout several times now and I really like it. It heats up and recovers quickly and seems to be well built, I expect many years of service from it. There are a couple things I would change to make it "perfect" in my opinion and others have also mentioned these same things. First a timer would be nice but I usually have onother timer handy. Second, since the power cord comes undone so easily for safety reasons I wish it had a power light that is on anytime the power is on. The only other thing I would change is the location of the "heating" light so it could be seen more easily. These are all pretty minor things, I would still buy it again knowing what I know now. The oil filtering and storage is great and why I chose this unit in the first place. I think clean-up if very easy for a fryer. It still looks brand new after several uses including going camping with us. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 T-Fal Ult. EZ Cleans Needs Timer Wednesday, May 06, 2009 A Customer from Littleton, CO
This fryer needs a timer to get an overall satisfaction rating of 5. I rate it a 4.7.
Compared to a Fry Daddy:
Clean-up is a 5+
Love the auto-drain and filter feature. No need to handle the oil after you are done cooking. Set the unit to auto-drain then clean it up once it has cooled (it takes about 3 hours). Except for the heating element everything will go in the dishwasher. Minimum spatter if food is dry. The stainless steel finish allows for a quick clean-up and a fresh look with a damp cloth.
Ease of use 5+
Heats up to 375° F in about 10 minutes. Temp dropped to 320° then recovered nicely while making french fries from fresh potatoes.
Plenty of space for frying your favorite food. It fries a chicken conveniently.
The cover allows moisture to vent and minimize splatter but you can't see what the food is doing because the window fogs over. I am getting a digital timer to put by the unit. The lack thereof is a disappointment.
For its size it is very light. Takes up a fair amount of space so you need to allow for storage area. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Deep Fryer Monday, May 04, 2009 Mary from Shawano, WI
After doing a lot of research, I chose this T-Fal Deep Fryer. I am totally pleased with my purchase! It heated up well and the temperature stayed constant. It was so easy to clean as everything except the cord and element can go right in the dishwasher! Having the oil being filtered automatically after using it is such a bonus. Wish that I would have bought this a long time ago!! Was this review helpful?

This T-Fal deep fryer is really nice.
It works great.
Is easy to clean.(you can put
everything except the AC cord and
heating element in the dishwasher)
The oil storage system is unique
to T-Fal and works perfectly.
We would NOT consider buying any other
deep fryer.

5 of 5 Great Purchase Thursday, March 12, 2009 Paul from Hamilton, VA
This purchase was an upgrade from our last deep fryer. I am extremely pleased with the design and ease of use. Clean-up is simple with all but the control unit going in the dishwasher. While I do not believe in reusing oil numerous times the filter system works well and can save you money with reusing oils. Well worth the money, I would recommend the T-Fal Deep Fryer. I love this fryer! I fry in olive oil and it's very expensive. It usually costs between $18-20 per gallon. This fryer automatically filters the used oil after it's cooled and the oil is stored in a sealed reservior located under the frying pot. You never have to touch the oil. When you are ready to use the fryer again, just remove the storage reservior, take off the cap and pour the oil back into the fry pot. The manual says the oil can be reused 8-12 times...this is a huge savings! Only flaw is the "reached temperature" light is located at an angle behind the thermstat knob and is difficult to see. Overall, I would recommend this fryer to everyone. Was this review helpful?

After much research I bought this fryer. I like the fact that the element sits in the oil which, I think it keeps temp more consistant. All the parts, excecpt the element and control panel fit in the dishwasher for easy clean-up. The only problem...and it's a messy one.... is that if the plastic oil container isn't lined up just so; oil will leak EVERYWHERE when it's draining. After a couple of adjustments I got it and will make sure all is lined up before making that mess again. The power cord attaches magnetically to the back of the unit and it is short.....and will unattach easily. Overall, I'm very plesed with my purchase. Was this review helpful?
