5 of 5 Good inexpensive headphones Saturday, November 01, 2008 Kali from Tulsa, OK
My dog chewed the plug on my old headphones, and I was happy about it. They were old and worn out. I needed a new pair for my desktop computer to watch movies and play the games. These headphones are very comfortable and sleek. They cover the whole ear blocking most of the external noises. The sound quality is very good. I play games and need to hear all sorts of sounds coming from different directions. These headphones provide good and powerful sound. It is very clear and low frequencies are deep and nice. 5 of 5 Wow - great sound! Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Mike from Ashland, Kentucky
I was in the market for purchasing new headphones, when these retro-looking colored headphones caught my eye from a TV ad. I write music, and although I'm no "professional", I know that wide audio response range is an important thing to look for, especially for when recording and editing. There's definitely much better quality out there when it comes to frequency response, but for the value, there's none better. These 'phones were the ticket I was looking for. The retro look is an added plus, but I'm not all about looks. It has to do a good job of performing… which these do! The "over the ear" cups are good alternative to noise cancelling, if you do not want to spend the money on such expensive technology. The only gripe I have about these is a standard length cord, (which is personal preference). I would have liked to have seen a longer, studio monitor length cord. An easy fix with an extension audio phono cord.
I use these for just about everything… with my MP3 player usually set on volume level 17 out of 25 max with my old Sony monitor headphones, the Panasonic RP-HTX7-K1 easily out performs with a volume level of only 12-13 which translates to longer battery life. WOOT!

Started researching these headphones after trying on a friend's pair. After many reviews on audiocubes and whatnot, I saw that buy.com has it at the lowest price point so I snatched it. Ordered on Saturday, shipped on Monday, arrived on Tuesday, with free shipping! Granted the shipping place was in the same state. Anyways, these things are fabulous. Powerful bass, detailed mids and highs. I heard things I never heard even with my shure e3c's. I may never go back to earphones again. Was this review helpful?
