5 of 5 great shredder! Wednesday, May 13, 2009 A Customer from Chicago, IL
This is well worth the price! Shreds the paper to fine cuts and the capacity is huge. The separate portion to collect CD and credit card shreds is convenient. It also has a transprent front view to see when the shredder is full. Overall I like this product a lot. Was this review helpful?

I'm in total agreement with all the previous reviews listed below !!!! A little pricey but well worth the money. This shredder is everything as promised. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 A Real Shredder!! Sunday, March 08, 2009 Jeffro from Pylesville, Md
After going through several "personal" shredders over the years, I finally decided it was worth the extra bucks to take a step up to something a bit more beefy...and am I glad I did!! This unit is extremely quiet and seems very powerful. It won't do a huge stack of papers and has some trouble doing junk mail still in the envelope, but all in all I'm very pleased...does a nice job on credit cards too!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Need a shredder for home?? THIS IS IT!!!!! Saturday, December 06, 2008 Dale C from Canton, MI
The Fellowes MicroShred MS-450Cs shredder runs very quietly and efficiently turning the shredded documents into pretty much ground up paper. I have had several shredders previously and this one is by far the best.
This is also the lowest price I could find anywhere for this shredder, by $50.00, and I checked Sam's, Best Buy, Office Max, Office Depot, and several other online sources. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great product! Monday, November 24, 2008 A Customer from Aventura, FL
I bought this shredder about 2 weeks ago and have used it constantly since I had tons of paper just waiting to be shredded. It shreds to pieces that are remarkably tiny and works like a charm!
Warning: You may become obsessed with shredding after buying this! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 good buy Monday, November 17, 2008 AZ from Chicago Illinois
You can buy a little paper shredder for $20. However, after my little $20 shredder burnt out, I found this one to be well worth the money. It has safety features, nice design, shreds paper into very fine pieces, separate bins for paper/plastic. My favorite thing about it is that it's quiet!!! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Decent Product, Fair Price Saturday, November 15, 2008 A Customer from New York, New York
Good product. Arrived broken fought with manufacture to send replacement parts.
Once Fellowes stepped up and took care of their QC check the product started working.
The waste paper basket plastic door open sensor piece was broken. Without this the sensor does not allow the machine to run.
Overall, happy with the purchase and performance. You can purchase a squaretrade.com extended warranty by calling them. $13.99 for a 3 year warranty. Was this review helpful?

Just purchased a Fellowes MicroShred MS-450Cs Shredder - Micro Cut - 7 Per Pass Sheets. It is great - almost noiseless and shreds almost to confetti size pieces. Bought it to replace another Fellowes that lasted more than 20 years. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Good shredder for the price Sunday, October 05, 2008 Trace from Illinois
Overall I'm happy with this model. Its small and looks good in my home office. The price at buy.com was better than I could get it from local office supply stores or amazon.
Cons:
- I don't like that it overheats when you have many papers to shred at one time. I had enough paper to shred that filled the bin 3 times, it over heated 5 times on me. I had to let it sit for 10 to 30 minutes between overheating to let it get cool down enough so it would work.
- If papers aren't loaded straight and you are trying to shred 5-7 sheets, it sometimes jams because the insert is just big enough for normal size sheets and if not straight, they build up on either side of the shredder. If the input was just a little bigger it would help.
Pro's:
- Its very quiet compared to many other shredders I've seen or used.
- I like that it has wheels so I can store it away easily when not in use.
- I used it on some old credit cards and it worked great.
- Nice shred size! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Great Shredder Wednesday, September 03, 2008 Samantha from Los Angeles, California
The pieces are completely chopped up. The small catch bin for the credit cards is convenient. Be sure to put credit cards in at an angle as they are cut in strips. May want to do credit cards twice. Is very stylish and attractive. Does not take up a lot of space. It is quiet! Clears jams easily. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellent MICRO Shredder Monday, August 25, 2008 Lisa from Arlington TX
This is a great micro-shredder, and I would highly recommend it to anyone. The picture dose not accurately show how small it shreds the paper, but does describe it well - micro. And it does operate quitely. I have had mine for about a month now and it works great. Really glad I spent a few more bucks to secure my identity better. Well worth the money! 5 of 5 So Far So Good Monday, August 25, 2008 Dan from NJ
Bought it about 3 weeks ago and shredded about a years worth of reciepts. Filled the basket up almost 2 times. And only over heated once. After 10 min went back to shredding like no other. Credit cards were a breeze aswell. I shredd EVERYTHING now. Great buy! Was this review helpful?
1 of 1 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Best value smallest shred size versus price Tuesday, August 12, 2008 Robert from Fort Worth, TX
The Fellowes MicroShred MS-450Cs Shredder has the smallest shred size of any shredder in its price class. I have shredded over five Xerox boxes of paper since receiving my shredder a month ago (enough to fill six 30 gallon with compressed waste!). Comes with bottle of oil to apply to the cutter each time the basket is full. Best results when shredding two or three sheets at a time. After empting the basket, be sure to unplug the shredder and check for a knot of paper at the far ends of the cutter (the only negative remark I have). After shredding 10,000 pages I suggest that you unplug the shredder, remove the four wing nuts and remove the cutter head from the housing then clean around the cutters to clear pieces of paper trapped between the cutter and plastic housing. 4 of 5 Extremely Happy Sunday, July 13, 2008 Michael from NYC
Very Quiet, size of confetti pieces is smaller than what's advertised, I wish the feeder opening was larger because if you use the max number of pieces of paper and it goes in a little uneven, it will jam from the sides.
Only wish is that they use some material that's more durable instead of cheap plastic. Not that durable over time. My last shredder was a a higher end fellowes and had to be replaced when all the plastic pieces started to break. The bin cracked first. Eventually the plastic holding the shredding mechanism in place cracked and the shredder didn't work anymore. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fantastic Shredder Thursday, July 10, 2008 A Customer from White Plains, NY
We've had this shredder for about two weeks and so far it's easily the best we've ever owned (and we've been through several over the past few years). The shredder is incredibly quiet, yet creates the tiniest confetti shreds I've ever seen. It is a very sturdy unit with several great features including an auto shut off if your hand gets too close to the blades, or if the unit begins to over heat.
I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a shredder. You may think it costs a bit more than other units, but it's well worth it, and in the long run will probably save money since it should last much longer. Was this review helpful?

Best shredder I've used. Very quiet shredder. The sound of the paper shredding is usually louder than the shredder itself. The shredded paper coming out of this thing is much smaller than regular shredders. Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fellows MS-450Cs - great value Monday, June 30, 2008 Gene Matthews from Kent, WA
I purchased the Fellows MS-450Cs for home office use primarily because I had used an MS-450C at a previous office. The main features that attracted me to the unit are: 1. it can shred CDs and credit cards 2. it is extremely quiet, 3. and my past experience with Fellow products.
Price was great, delivery quick, and all meets my expectations. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 By far the best! Wednesday, June 04, 2008 Angelo from Denver, CO
I have owned and used other shredders and this one wins hands down. You can not beat this shredder if you are looking to spend between $0-350. You can barely hear the paper and credit cards shred. There is no way anyone could steal your info. once the paper is shredded. This machine is a true micro-shredder. Also, it's by far the best looking shredder out there and easy to clean. My shredder also came with the bottle of lubricant and it did not leak. I have kids and love the safety sensor. Of course, I always unplug all my small appliances and the shredder, so save energy and not have to worry about the kids playing with it. Great machine for home office or small business. You can shred top secret documents and nobody around you will even hear the machine shred. Just in case you are a spy or pretend to be one when your shredding your bills. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 The Rolls-Royce of shredders Tuesday, May 13, 2008 gil from new york,ny
This is by far, one of the best shredders on the market.I owned quite a few over the years and they usually were store brands. This time I did my research and it certainly paid off.I got the lowest possible price from buy.com.The manufacturer also has a really great website, to help you pick the perfect model for your needs. 5 of 5 A Great Machine Monday, April 21, 2008 Chuck J from Chicago, IL
The design and features of this machine are outstanding. The cross cut confetti is tiny, and the shredder is ultra quiet. The only disappointment was that the small bottle of lubricating oil which was included leaked onto the supply of waste bags that was also included. Was this review helpful?

Works great!! Easy to use, will handle multiple pages without a problem. Used in an office setting, and works great! Wheels on the bottom are wonderful, because they allow us to slide it under the desk when not in use. Looks nice when in view. My small children have put their hands up to the opening, and the safety sensor kicks in every time! Very happy with purchase! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 SPENDY BUT THE BEST Wednesday, November 28, 2007 Jenny RN from Folsom, CA
This is a spendy and somewhat difficult to find shredder. It is worth the search and price! It quietly turns all our statements and confidential information into tiny bits. Everything but a micro shredder leaves readable pieces of information, check the specs on those shredders!!
We usually never feed it more than 3 sheets at a time and it always works without a complaint. The credit card and cd shredder is handy too.
If you want your trash secure this is the shredder for you. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Fellowes MS-450Cs Shredder Tuesday, June 05, 2007 Henry Gardiner from Tioga, TX, USA
I'm a first-time user of a shredder and I've had this shredder for about a week. I've been using it for maybe 20 sheets a day, a light workout. As a test, I have just given it 7 sheets of standard 20 pound 8.5 x 11" paper in one gulp. The shredder slowed a bit but there was no doubt of a successful outcome.
The shredder is quieter than I expected. The small size of the particles produced leaves no doubt in my mind that nobody will be attempting to reassemble the original documents.
I haven't discovered any objectionable characteristics yet. The design is quite successful from my perspective. If history should show that the unit also has long life, I think it will be very successful commercially. Was this review helpful?
