5 of 5 Love the product Monday, June 01, 2009 TNguyen from Bartlett-IL
I had this since July 2008. It has been put thru several house cleanings and received a good share of paper shredding.
Love the credit card crunching feature.
I am happy to report that it is still running strong.
Very satisfy with my purchase.

5 of 5 Great for the Price Monday, March 09, 2009 Sam from New York, NY
This machine met my expectations for a very good price. Most good shredders will cost well above $100, and even then they may have overheating problems, jamming problems, power problems (not being able to shreed the number of sheets expected to), etc. This one does great for my home office where I am shredding junk mail (I have to open the mail first to shred it, it's not strong enought to take out junk mail still in the envelope) and confidential material. The cross-cutting makes it more secure, and packs better in the bucket or in any recycling bags meaning I have to empty it less. Jamming has never been an issue with this machine. I have not tried credit cards, yet. The only cons are that the power cord is too short for where I want to put it, and that the unit is fairly heavy for its size. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Mulching maddness Monday, December 29, 2008 BG from Winter Haven, FL
If you are looking for ultimate security this is it. Nobody could possibly read one letter of any credit card or paper document you put though this mighty moe.
On the flip side, don't plan to shred mountains of papers at one time. Space it out, because this heavy duty machine needs cool down time in between sessions. The good thing is, it let's you know, and shuts down as needed.
A larger basket would eliminate emptying often. Awkward and heavy to empty. The shredding unit, designed to fit only it's basket is triggered to operate by the placement of the shredder within the basket. A plus: a flip up top with a see-through clear plastic side shows when basket is full. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 As great as expected... Saturday, December 27, 2008 Gigglettes Dad from Strongsville, Ohio
We did a lot of research to find the right shredder for our small home business. We needed quality and value - we feel that we got both. The very first thing that was shredded accidently contained a staple - we cringed as we watched - this bad boy kept on going. We like the safety feature since we have kids and pets that have access to the machine. We told the kids about the dangers but we don't feel like we have to hide this one. So far it has lived up to everybody's positive comments... Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Absolute Best Value Wednesday, December 10, 2008 Stan from Edgewood, NM
I have purchased three of these for myself and family members. Not only do they arrive within a couple of days, the capability is really AWESOME. I've had one in use for about 8 months and have shredded vast amounts of paper. Whether personal papers or junk mail, just about anything with identifying information should be shredded and this machine is up to the task.
The safety sensor is also a good feature. Whenever I am shredding, my dog follows the paper with his nose. When it gets close enough the shredder stops and then resumes when he has moved his nose back far enough. Then the fun starts all over again! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Shredder! Saturday, November 22, 2008 Terri from Glendale, IL
This shredder has by far exceeded all the other ones I have bought in the past. It is sturdy, safe, and does the job with credit cards and staples! I am very happy that I chose this Fellowes! I bought the little bags that go inside of it too and that certainly helps alot with the mess that comes from emptying the baskets! Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Fellowes Powershred P-57Cs Sunday, November 02, 2008 Robert Broyles from Hahira, GA.
This is my first shredder. When I first received it, I couldn`t get to start. So I E-mailed Buy.com. They resonded immediately to help. All of a sudden it started working. It`s been working great ever since. I have a home office. But I can see where this unit would work great in business.Checked around on price. Buy.com beat everyone big time. I have a feeling this shredder will last me a long time. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Shredder Wednesday, October 15, 2008 etoro4 from Bridgeport, CT
The shredder is great for the price. Easy to use and the sensor that stops the shredding process if hair or hands get to close is great safety feature.
I Would recommend this purchase for a small office that does light shredding not for heavy usage. Was this review helpful?

5 of 5 Perfect for home use Sunday, August 31, 2008 A Customer from Gainesville, FL
This is my first shredder, and it definitely gets the job done. I shredded three BOXES of checks and a small stack of credit cards in about 30 min., and it did the job without a jam. The "confetti cut" looks suspiciously like strip cuts, so I'm not sure what that's about, but for regular home use this is a great buy. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Completely satisfied so far.... Saturday, August 23, 2008 A Customer from Huntington, NY
This is my first shredder so I'm not able to base my opinion via comparison....however, I can say that it works perfectly,is very easy to operate and performs exactly as described. Definately suitable for home use and the price is extremely reasonable...I would recommend this product without hesitation. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Just one little inconvenience Monday, August 18, 2008 Derwood from Mount Ida, AR
The Fellowes paper shredder performs exactly as the advertising stated it would. If I were using it at the end of my desk it would be perfect. However, I used the shredder under the overhang of my computer desk and the paper opening is located to the rear of the machine which makes it difficult to insert items without pulling the shredder forward or leaning over my chair arm to see where the paper should be inserted.
If the opening was up front and the controls were at the rear of the machine, it would be perfect for my use.
Still, it is an inconvenience I can live with for a quite, fast shredder. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excelent product Saturday, August 09, 2008 A Customer from Bartlett, IL
Had the product for 1 week now. It performs flawlessly. The shredded pieces are small and secure enough for the intended purposes. This surely beat the "strip" cut of the other shredder I had which burned out. It can cut the credit card into pieces. This is exactly what I need. You can't be too careful these days. And, Fellowes shreader is surely a weapon to combat identity theft.
Highly recommended. Was this review helpful?

I love this machine! I can put multiple sheets of paper and it just chews it right up! It took no time at all to set-up (took longer taking it out of the box actually) and it works like a charm. Was this review helpful?

If you're like me and shred everything that has your name or address, including normal ads, or hints of credit card info on it, you will use the shredder everyday. Pros: Shreds many sheets with grinding action, quiet even when shredding multiple papers. Cons: Does not shred small enough (for "confetti cut"), annoying safety feature of getting your hand too close is too safe, small bucket, doesn't seem sharp enough to make the shredding go faster, heavy, clumsy and odd to empty the bucket. My previous Fellowes shredder that finally gave out was over 10 years old, was the same price as this one, cut much small confetti, and could run for 20 minutes with no problem.
Overall, it is decent for the price I paid, especially with Fellowes quality, but think that I might have gone with something else in the same regular price range. Was this review helpful?

I've used the shredder for a week and I am very happy with it. I have always purchased cheaper models and then have to replace them often. I did the research and decided to purchase one with a good rating and for intermediate use instead of light duty. I wanted one to shred credit cards although I haven't used that feature. I was surprised at how heavy the cutting blades were and it is much quieter than the other ones I have purchased. The price is reasonable and the quality is very good. I highly recommend it! 5 of 5 Excellent value in a light-duty shredder Tuesday, August 28, 2007 agorelik from Seminole, FL
Got this model for my wife to use at her desk. I've had it for around two months. It works well, no problems. Good safety features. Best value I could find in a light-duty confetti cut shredder. Was this review helpful?
