purchased to replace an older cheaper unit (Celestion). JBL's EOS waveguide Ti tweeters are crystal clear, and 5.25" mids give very accurate, lifelike, balanced repro of voice/dialogue as the JBL lit claims, bang for the buck is stellar on this ~$200 unit with an MSRP of 400. The Studio L Series (of which the LC1 is part) seems to be on end of model firesale, and those in the JBL (Lansing Heritage) forum that have reviewed the series agree unanimously that the Studio is vastly underpriced at MSRP and a true sleeper buy, at the new prices, tough to pass up.
