5 of 5 Fantastic Home Office Printer Saturday, May 23, 2009
Allen from Cape Canaveral, FL
This printer is a workhorse for the home office or a college student. It's easy to use and dependable. I like it so much I bought one for my step-daughter for college. I even recommended it to a few friends. If you're looking for a no hassle laser printer, this is the one to get. The cartridges last "forever" !

5 of 5 Works with Linux Tuesday, March 17, 2009
Bob from Denver, CO
So far its working exactly as it should. Set up on Ubuntu 8.10 involves just plugging it in. It warms up and has the first page out within 10 seconds easily every time. I bought it to replace an older Samsung ML-1450 that developed a problem with the picker mechanism. This one looks to be substantially simpler in design, and will hopefully last much longer.

5 of 5 Surprisingly quick Tuesday, March 17, 2009
Erik from Orlando, FL
I'm quite familiar with Samsung printers, as we have many at work. Still, I am impressed with how quickly this printer warms up to print the first page. It remains to be seen how long the toner cartridge lasts. However, I give this 5 stars with the amazing value of a rebate and free shipping I got from Buy.com.

ZaHS from Lawrenceville,GA
Good for money, Not power consumed printer, I am personally not 100% happy with it. But for the price of the laser printer it is more than ok. I bought this in $48.50. after rebate. Recommended to any buyers.

5 of 5 Super! Friday, December 19, 2008
Vlad from Reston, VA
Very good printer, installation was quite simple. The only improvement to be done would be the if they make the tray cover more durable. Adding duplex printing would be a nice feature - although it work manually.

5 of 5 Problem free so far Thursday, December 18, 2008
Rachelle from Wayne, NE
I bought this printer for household use because I've been wanting a laser printer for some time and the price seemed right. After reading the other product reviews, I figured none of the drawbacks I'd read about were anything I couldn't live with. The biggest complaints that concerned me were noisiness and the power draw, especially since our house has ancient wiring and I had to use an extension cord to plug the unit in. Well, so far I have had no problems. The power draw does not seem to be an issue, even with our less-than-optimum electrical source. Also, I didn't think the unit was terribly noisy at all. What did impress me was the ease of setup (extremely fast!) the printing speed (extremely fast!) and the aesthetics of the printed page (so crisp! so clear!). Overall I am very glad to have made this purchase, and expect to be even more glad when I receive my rebate.

5 of 5 sweet! Thursday, December 04, 2008
frecklesthecat from Poway, CA
I've been a profesional network guy for almost 18 years. The Canon printer is by no means a HP Laser (which ever one you liked, each had there features and faults) I have about 50 printers where I work and about 40 are HP Laser (4000, 4500 etc). I didnt really want to drop the best part of $1000 on a printer for my home so I bought this lil Canon. Like most my $30 inkjet needed about $65 of cartridges). I also have a HP4 which although a workhorse is big and bulky. I highly recommend this printer for home or light office use. The printer itself is very light and doesnt take up much room. The quality of print is equal to HP, and the toner is cheaper than HP. I paid $99 and it came with 1000 page toner. Thats a penny a page to print (black). My only suggestion is it is power hungry (just like a laser!)So when I get ready to print. I turn it on, and as soon as muy print job finishes I turn it off. Unless you know someone in the power company, I dont think this would be one I would leave on if I was (and I am) paying the electric bill!

5 of 5 Sweet Printer Tuesday, October 28, 2008
A Customer from brooklyn, ny
This is one heck of a printer. It's LOUD but that doesn't matter, the thing cranks fast and cheap. I print a lot of pages/scripts. I'm waiting to see how the yield on the cartridge is but looks awesome so far. I only had trouble with using an imac g4 for 10.2.8 as a print server..had to upgrade to 10.4.11 in order to get the drivers to install - that was weird. But was happy to do it. I use the imac as the kids computer and as the print server on our wireless network so my wife and I can both print without moving cables around. I am very happy with this printer and for $100 (w/ $50 rebate of course) what an amazing deal.

3 of 5 Cost to print quality is great, BUT... Friday, August 29, 2008
A Customer from OK
Pros: Fast, good quality prints, low price after rebate. Cons: Extremely power hungry, NOT energy star, it draws so much power at startup that the lights dim in the room!! My light has NEVER dimmed with any other appliance in the past. That is scary. Ugly looking printer, cheap plastics. Loading paper is a bit of a hassle. Overall: Despite the Cons, the price was unbeatable when only concerned with print quality and speed.

5 of 5 Great Buy Tuesday, August 26, 2008
A Customer from Oklahoma City, OK
We have already bought 5 printers before. We had the Samsung 1210 and they are getting very old and used a lot with no trouble. We purchased the 2510 to start replacing the 1210 and they are doing great too. The supplies are very easy to find and we have had very little if any trouble. I recomend them 100%. Add the Buy.com deal and you can't go wrong.

4 of 5 Fast, Easy Set-up Printer Saturday, August 16, 2008
A Customer from Lake Sunapee, NH
I bought this when it was on sale with a rebate because it was cheaper than buying a toner for my ML-2010. Set-up was easy with the driver CD and powercable. Printing is dark and PPM is high. Single sheet feed works fine. However, it is noisy and there was an ozone smell the first couple of times it warmed up which has fortunately gone away. It does seem to draw a lot of power and the fact that lights dim is disconcerting. If you buy it with a rebate Samsung will eventually send you a check but they are SLOW. It took 114 days from the mailing date to get mine back.

1 of 5 Arrived non-functional Tuesday, August 05, 2008
A Customer from New Portland, ME
This item arrived defective. It will not feed any paper through it. Every single sheet jams before it can get to the top exit area. I can't really comment on performance or ease of use since I'm not able to use the printer. This is my first experience with a Samsung printer. I'm not impressed. I should have stuck with a Lexmark.

5 of 5 Great little printer Friday, July 18, 2008
SassyLassy from Destin, Florida
I really love this printer. I decided to try a laser printer because I got tired of the ink cartridges always drying up in my inkjet printer. Although I do miss having color, the black toner is very crisp and clear and the output is very fast. After reading other reviews, I plugged it into a separate outlet from my computer and have had no problems with it whatsoever. I am very satisfied with this printer.

5 of 5 Wonderful but for the power draw Tuesday, July 08, 2008
David from Woburn (Boston), MA
I bought this to replace a Samsung ML-1210 because after rebate it was $50 (I trust the rebate will arrive eventually.) I'm a light user, mostly only for snail mail, very few pages per month. I'm pleased I can still use my Centronics cable because that leaves one more USB slot. I've just installed it, which was very easy, and printed a few pages. It seems fast enough. I wish the footprint were smaller. As others have said, the power draw is scary. It's on a good-sized battery backup. I'll have to move it to a different circuit, which is a shame because I won't be able to use the multi-device SurgeMaster switches under my monitor to turn it on and off. There were no data cables in the box, which would be an issue if this weren't a replacement.

5 of 5 A great printer for the price Monday, July 07, 2008
Kathy from Brunswick, Ohio USA
So far, the printer is performing brilliantly. Print speed is fast, giving very sharp images. It warms up quickly unlike my old Samsung. It's true the new cartridges are not cheap, but all new laser cartridges for any printer are similarly priced. I was fortunate to buy the printer on a Samsung Rebate deal so even with the high cost of a replacement new cartridge, I'm ahead. I have been recommending this printer to friends. It's excellent - for the price.

5 of 5 Best laser printer for the price Wednesday, July 02, 2008
Wayne Nelligan from Buffalo, NY
I purchased this laser printer about two weeks ago and all I can say is that I'm impressed! You couldn't ask for a better printer for the money. It prints very fast, the text and graphics are clear and overall everything just worked. One of the best deals I've ever made. And, of course, Buy.com's service was exemplary as usual.

5 of 5 Great Print and Awesome price.. Monday, June 30, 2008
IT Matt from Willow Grove, PA
The printer is an amazing value. I did my research and this laser printer is a perfect performer and value. The replacement toner is a great value as well at 3000 page cycle. I have been stung in the past by inexpensive printers and then repaying the full printer cost for replacement toner or inkjet cartridges. This printer is inexpensive and has average maintenance expenses. Setup was easy, but putting in the toner is a little tricky. The tone cartridge has a large retractable handle that you use to insert the tone in the front and then push it all the way through to back of the printer. The track the cartridge rides on can cause it to jam. This is nothing to change my option of the printer but just a simple concern. The paper tray holds 250 sheets, which is wonderful. I’ve since purchased a second one for my office.

5 of 5 Pleased with Samsung ML-2510 Saturday, June 28, 2008
A Customer from Waldorf, MD
I am very pleased with my Samsung Laser printer. It is connected via parallel cable (LPT1) and no software was needed, my computer running XP SP3 recognized it right away. It was easy to set up. I turn it on via its switch only when I print and it only takes 15 seconds to warm up. It does flicker lights every 10 seconds until power saving mode starts which defaults to 5 minutes if you choose to leave the printer on. It is such a deal; and toner cartridges available for less than $35 delivered from suppliesexperts.com. I also agree with the comment left by the customer from Yorba Linda, CA on May 12, 2008.

4 of 5 Good printer but annoying current draw every 10 se Wednesday, June 18, 2008
A Customer from Houston, TX
It is a small printer does what it claims: economical, good print quality. Only but unavoidable negative: it draws current every 10 seconds before power save mode kicks in. It is really annoying that lights blinks and UPS chimes every 10 seconds. Tried located to different outlets in the study with no success. Noted, only my old APC UPS picks up the draws. The newer Belkin does not seem mind. But the lights.... Oh my.... My older Samsung ML-1450 never does this. I bought this one with rebate so price was really good but would reconsider if I know this. Knock off one points for not home office friendly.

5 of 5 Excellent Product at Great Price Saturday, June 14, 2008
A Customer from McDonough, Georgia
This Samsung printer is very similar to the ML-2010 model I've had 3 to 4 years with flawless performance, but the ML-2510 has added parallel connection as well as USB 2.0 connection. I've replaced toner in the 2010, and it continues to produce great quality unlike 2 Brother printers of which both developed printing problems before even the original cartridge was consumed. I fully expect the new 2510 will be just as reliable, and I highly recommend this printer as well as would buy another Samsung if I need another printer.

4 of 5 Great printer... Sunday, June 01, 2008
A Customer from Cinton, New York
Bought this printer last year when it was being offered as a refurbished deal. Great printer, noisy as can be but ideal for general printing purposes. Printing is quick and looks sharp. Only complaint is that the toner ran out at about 200 pages. Don't know if that was the deal with the refurbished unit, but it was "cheesy" never the less. Easy solution to that was buying toner on Ebay for a very quick and even easier refill. Make sure you get spare fuses if you elect to fill your own toner. Small footprint is great too. Overall, very happy.

5 of 5 Big Performance - Small Footprint Monday, May 12, 2008
A Customer from Yorba Linda, CA
I have used a Samsung ML-2010 for a couple of years and been thoroughly satisfied. My spouse uses a 3-in-1 color injet printer on another computer. Color cartridges are too costly and really not necessary for most print jobs, so I recommended the Samsung ML-2510 as a second printer for regular use on that computer to supplement the inkjet printer when color is needed. It is easy to switch printers. We are delighted with the speed and efficiency of both our Samsung printers. We both use the toner saver mode and find it plenty adequate. The unit is NOT noisy. Terrific little unit that we highly recommend. The only caution we give is: DO NOT PLUG THIS PRINTER INTO THE SAME POWER SOURCE AS YOUR COMPUTER. PLUG IT INTO A SEPARATE WALL OUTLET. I had forgotten that admonition I had read online, and I plugged the cord into the same surge protector with my computer. Everything connected lost power, requiring disconnection of everything plugged in and resetting the button on the power source. The printer was connected to another wall outlet and everything was up and running.

5 of 5 very good product Friday, May 09, 2008
A Customer from St Louis, MO
I have owned this for a month now. Unlike other reviewers, I have not noticed a big power draw, which was my main concern when I ordered this printer. The printer is quiet when idling. It prints fast too. I am very satisfied with this purchase. As to the toner consumption, I have to wait and see.

5 of 5 Great Value - Love It Tuesday, May 06, 2008
A Customer from Henderson, NV
I've been wanting a laser printer for some time because of speed and cost of printing. The net price of this one was too good to pass up. It was no more than replacing the ink cartridges in my current printer, so I figured I could hardly go wrong. I've been using the printer for about two weeks without a single problem. Shipping was fast and installation was quick and easy. It looks sharp, has a small footprint, has great looking prints and is fast. I'm not a heavy user, so this should last for a long time

5 of 5 Happy with it! Monday, May 05, 2008
A Customer from Colorado Springs, CO
It's was a good deal for the laser printer because the toner for those cheap inkjet printers would cost that much. The software driver came with it is an older version, so I downloaded the newer driver directly from Samsung.com. It was easier to locate and download the driver, and the setup was simple. The printer is indeed a little loud (compare to other printer I have had), but it's not really that bad. It prints fast. Quality is decent for typical printing (documents, some minor graphics, cliparts and such) as expected of a laser printer. I didn't try to print a b&w photo so I don't know how it performs, though that wasn't what I buy the printer for. Overall, I'm happy with it!

5 of 5 Predictable Monday, May 05, 2008

I previously owned a Samsung 2010. This newer version of the same printer warms up faster, prints quickly and cleanly. For the money and for a personal, non-business, Laser printer, this unit cannot be beaten.

5 of 5 Excellent Value Monday, May 05, 2008
A Customer from Dublin, Ohio
Incredible value. Not any more noise than other laser printers. I suspect the people that have complained about noise are comparing with ink jet printers. This printer is obviously not loaded with features, but it is a fast, low cost, laser printer. Very easy to set up and use. Print quality is excellent. Paper feed thus far for me is completely trouble free. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the same unit again.

5 of 5 Best Laser for its price Monday, May 05, 2008

For what I paid for it, its def. worth it. Fast, efficient, prints excellent for text documents. Make sure you buy the the USB printer cable over the parallel cable though for speed.

5 of 5 Superb value Sunday, May 04, 2008
Casey from Bellevue, WA
Bought this to replace an ink jet printer that was rarely used for printing pictures so the ink always dried up and cost a forturne to replace. This was easy to set up and works great. I live in a new house so there is ample power and I don't have the lights dimming during the power up. With the paper loaded it looks a bit funkier than the product picture since the front door has to be opened and there is a clear plastic cover that fits over the paper stack. just not that clean a look. The paper tray in my Brother HL 5040 is completely enclosed. Runs and prints fine.
