Nintendo DS Lite revolutionizes the way games are played with ultra-bright dual screens and touch-screen technology. Connect wirelessly to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and put your skills to the test against players across the room or across the world.

With impressive 3D rendered graphics and ultra-bright screens, Nintendo DS Lite delivers cutting-edge portable games for fans of any genre. With the Nintendo DS Headset, you can talk and chat over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection or voice command games.

System: With Nintendo DS Lite, dual screens and touch-screen technology allow you to interact with games like never before. Wireless communication allows you to experience real-time multiplayer gameplay, and the free Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection service allows you to compete against players from around the globe.

Dual Screens: Two incredibly bright LCD screens offer one of the most groundbreaking gameplay advances ever developed. Each 3-inch screen can reproduce a true 3D view, with impressive 3D renderings that can surpass images displayed on the Nintendo 64.

Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection: Ready to take on the world? Now, with Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, you can connect wirelessly, chat and play with Nintendo DS owners across the globe. All you need to play is a Nintendo DS and a Wi-Fi-ready game. There are no subscription fees -- the service is free!

Touch Screen Technology: The lower screen offers something never before provided by any dedicated game device: touch-screen capabilities.

You no longer have to rely on just buttons to move your character or shift perspectives. Navigate menus or access inventory items simply by touching the screen with a stylus or fingertip. The possibilities are limited only by developers' imaginations.

The touch screen features a tougher film cover for durability, and the included stylus is stored in the back of the unit.

Microphone Port: A built-in microphone port means that with Nintendo DS, you only need to tell your games what to do.

The Nintendo DS microphone gives you even more ways to interact with your favorite games.

Wireless Network: With Nintendo DS Lite, you can connect with a local wireless network of up to 16 players. The wireless range can be an incredible 30 to 100 feet and for some games, multiplayer requires just one Nintendo DS game card.

Note: Nintendo DS Lite wireless communication, including PictoChat, is not private and is not monitored by Nintendo. We recommend that you never reveal any personal information or arrange to meet a stranger.

Rich Stereo Sound: Nintendo DS Lite sound capabilities allow for greatly expanded use of voices and music, and a richer, more immersive game experience. Stereo speakers allow for virtual surround sound and a plug for headphones transmits stereo sound.

Backward Compatibility: Nintendo DS Lite features a separate media port for Game Boy Advance cartridges, allowing you to play all your favorite Game Boy Advance games in single-player mode.

Features

3 of 5 Nice but already broken! Thursday, February 28, 2008
Marc from Simi Valley, Ca

R button is broken after 2-3 months. System restarts once every time you turn it on. Warranty repair is painfully slow.

I think the DS Lite is the most AWESOME THING EVER INVENTED on my opinion! I have 2 of them and I love the wireless gameplay. I feel lucky that I don't have to buy a connector wire! I love the Nintendo DS Lite!!!! :)

5 of 5 Great portable game system! Friday, November 24, 2006
Roger from Augusta, GA
Tetris DS and Sudoku are two favorites that make the DS a great portable game system for busy college students. It is easy to start/stop a game, and works well with standard wireless access points for multiplayer tetris (see Tetris DS).

5 of 5 Best portable Nintendo system in years: Thursday, October 05, 2006
Jason from Florida
Having been an avid collector and gamer, I've enjoyed many different video game systems both console and portable. I would have to rate the Nintendo DS Lite among the most fun portable I've ever played. Between the WiFi, dual screens, touch screen, aggressive game library that is growing every day its THE portable game system to own. It would be a loss to any gamer to not try the Nintendo DS Lite, you won't regret it.

5 of 5 Love it!!! Friday, September 15, 2006
dxdave from San Antonio
The new Nintendo DS Lite is a great hand held gaming system. Everytime I went to the store and looked and played with both the DS Lite and the PSP, I always enjoyed the DS Lite better. So I finallly decided to by the Nintendo DS. I think I made a great choice! I really love everything about it from the gaming to the looks. It may not have the graphics of the PSP or the multimedia but it is way more fun to play with. I recommend the DS Lite to anyone.

5 of 5 perfect Wednesday, September 06, 2006
anthony renteria from alabaster ,alabama
if you haveny decided which to buy the psp or ds then youre reading the right review frist the psp has some very good advanteges but the ds light is just better .the psp has the multimedia thing that some people may want but the ds has a little better adavantege the ds games are all mostly very innuvative games it also has classics like the mario,metroid,zelda..etcwhile the psp is lacking in the creativty and gameplay their also just making very unplesnt LOADTIMES!! if you dont care about the differences then maybe your wondering is it better than the original ds yes becuase the otherone was to obese and it isnt as comfortable as the ds lite soo the ds got a diet and loss some unwanted fat if your a looking for a hanheld for a child this is a perfect choice becuase it has a lot of e rated titels that your chid might like so the ds is a win win situaon i recomend it to every body thank you for reading

5 of 5 The Ds Lite Rocks Saturday, August 05, 2006
A Gamer from Downers Grove, IL
When I first had this baby in my hands, I was impressed. It was very much smaller than it's older version. This Gaming device looks really good and sleek. When I opened it up I immediatly knew I would love it. It has a nice matte finish on the inside and all the button are so responsive. Also the Start and Select buttons have been moved for easier access. When I turned my ds lite on, I had too shield my eyes from the brightness of both screens. Everything looked beautiful and clear. It made every game look brighter and newer. The psp is not brighter than the ds lite. And it is bigger and thicker than the ds lite. The only thing the psp has against the Ds Lite are graphics and multimedia, Ds games are much much funner. The ds lite Rules!

4 of 5 Great Improvement, but not quite the overall packa Saturday, July 29, 2006
rhoadsdee from Miami, Fl
I'll try to keep this short. For one thing, the LOOK of this little handheld is MAGNIFICENT!! It truly is a work of art. Clean lines, sexy style, bright screens and on and on. Nintendo definetly got the style of the DS right. However, if you have big hands like me, the style gets in the way. You'll get crampted hands and when games make heavy use of the stylus your mittens will feel it. It's dificult to hold the DS with one hand and then use your other hand for stylus play. The DS is too small if you are too big. But thats not with every game. You definetly have to experience the games to see which will make you physicaly cringe in pain. As far as the games go, it's a mixed bag. The DS is not your usual handheld, so its uniqueness also comes with its drawbacks. The current library isn't as strong, and compared to the PSP, the graphics are NOT the best in the biz. Not to say that they arent appealing, but if you are a tech-hog you will not be impressed. Then again, the PSP doesn't have a strong library either, so you aren't missing much on that spectrum. My sugestions: if you have big hands and feel that the DS Lite is TOO lite, then I'd look into the regular DS. It's bigger and it feels sturdier (but it's UGLY). If you like good gameplay in an inexpensive, sexy package, then i'd shell out for the DS Lite. If you want raw power with more features, go for the PSP. I like it, and with a couple of superb, great titles, this could be the ultimate handheld.

5 of 5 Beautiful Machine Friday, June 09, 2006
A Gamer from Alexandria, VA
This is what the DS should have looked like in the beginning. A fantastic piece of engineering and design. And most importantly, a ton of fun.
