Sangean RCR-2 Clock Radio - LCD Alarm - FM

This is a great item I have had for over a month. On the East Cost of Florida we have a lot of power bumps & outages that always played hell on my battery backed up alarm clocks. With this one I don't have to worry it just resets to the correct time & date automatically. I really love it. The radio sounds good for a Alarm Clock and the buzzer starts low and gets louder as it goes on making waking a little nicer that with a standard clock that just blasts you to death.

Shipment was vey fast. And product was in excellent, new, condition I sill sleep w/ earplugs. Thank God m boyfriend doesn't mind (or he's just doesn't tell me. :)

This product has a great design and the radio signals are clean and clear. The clock radio and all settings are easy to use. I would buy other products from the Mfg!

I bought this radio for my mother and she loves it. It's very simple for her to use and the sound is incredible, and the reception is great. I'm glad I chose this one.

I don't use this as an alarm clock--the clock's nice to have, but I mainly wanted a radio that'd pick up weak stations (I live about 45 miles from my favorite). The clock's kinda hard to set until the atomic signal kicks in, and it's kinda expensive. For the purpose I bought it for, though, it's the best radio I've ever owned.

It is amazing the stations this radio pulls in and clearly. This is the best clock radio I ever bought and I own two bose wave radios. It is a little tricky to et up and you do have to read the instructions. The setup is not intuitive by any means but within five minutes you will be up and running.

I will agree with others that it is hard to figure out which button to use for certain functions, but it is a good product and I would buy it again.

All you do is set the time zone on the bottom and it does the rest. You plug it in and in about 15 minutes it has set itself to the atomic clock. Wish it had a battery backup though. My wife kept unplugging it because she couldn't figure out how to turn the alarm off when I wasn't there. Then it lost the alarm settings. The controls aren't totally intuitive, you have to read the instructions. The instructions aren't great but they are adequate. There is some confusion over which button is which when you read the instructions. The gradually louder beeping of the alarm is nice. You can turn it off before it wakes the kids.

Bought this radio for 2 specific features: (1) Dual alarm. We use both the radio and the alarm. The sound quality is very good, so the radio can come on softly, and still be heard. The alarm's Humane Waking System, which starts off quietly and increases in volume, is well named. And the radio station you'll wake to is the one you select when you're setting the alarm, so it's unaffected by what you listen to at other times of the day. (2) Atomic clock time setting. Solves the problem of rare power outages, by resetting the clock automatically via radio-transmitted time. Daylight savings time also adjusted automatically, just in case we forget. Other nice features include: 7 buttons you can set to radio stations (so 7 each in AM and FM), a Nap button you can use to set a quick alarm to wake you in a little while (each press of the button adds 10 minutes to your nap). The manual could be better written, but it's accurate. As the options available during set up require multiple step, it's important to follow the manual carefully. The display can be lit or unlit: there's no half-lit setting for night-time. We find the orange isn't too bright for sleeping (I feared it would be), but the numbers, being thin, do take us a moment to focus on, and the screen is busy, showing alarm settings, day and date, etc. I'd prefer to have a setting where all but the clock data could be made to disappear. All in all, it gets the job done.
