5 of 5 Fantastic USB hub Tuesday, November 17, 2009
John from Albany, NY

$20, free shipping. Realy great hub, red light shows power on. Green lights activate on each port in use. Two upright ports for thumb drives or wireless adapter. Can stack two units. It could be a little heavier to hold in place. FAST Shipping. Owned three weeks no problems. VERY Satisfied. No shut down issues with Windows XP Pro SP3 or 7 64bit

5 of 5 Easy Hub--As advertised Wednesday, May 27, 2009
David from Abilene, TX
This hub has the power it advertises. Thus far, everything I have connected through this hub has functioned both properly and as fast as if connected directly. I have my backup hard drive and several other things permanently connected through the back, leaving two upright connectors easily accessible for periodic connections. Good product.

5 of 5 Good multi-port USB hub Saturday, May 09, 2009
A Customer from Denver CO
This is a good product. All of the ports are reasonably accessible and well-spaced. The two top ports require devices to be inserted vertically, so you need ample room above the device.

5 of 5 Great Product Wednesday, May 06, 2009
Jon from Durham, NC
It works great. Put it next to my monitor for easy access. Love the two top-loading ports. Had another Belkin 7-port USB hub (same design but smaller and different color) for almost a year and hadn't had any problems. Used it to connect printer, keyboard, mouse, webcam, and USB hard drives. Great product!

Have used this for about 3 wks. Very pleased. Simplifies my work-life, easy to use, keeps my desk more clutter free. Pleased with the design - two connections on top for items I remove often.

5 of 5 Belkin Product Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Jerry from NY
Guaranteed for LIFE! So says Belkin. I bought this 7 port hub as I needed additional USB ports also thinking my 4 port hub was broken. Called Belkin for assistance installing as their Install Booklet was totally incomplete and they, after questioning me, said I could return the 4 port hub for a new one, FREE. Then I found out my original hub worked OK. Now I can daisy-chain my 4 port to the 7 port and have more connections than I will ever need. But, good to know! Good product!!

5 of 5 Desktop USB port access is a SNAP Tuesday, April 14, 2009
A Customer from Las Vegas NV
The Belkin USB hub makes it easy to just snap in any USB connection at your fingertips, instead of having to go behind your PC or opening doors on your desk. Since it is a powered hub you don't have to be concerned about overloading the port it is connected to. Even my wife wants one now...

5 of 5 Awesome Hub Sunday, March 22, 2009
Jimmy from Binghamton, NY
This 7-port hub has Multiple Transaction Translators which means multiple USB 1.1 hubs can operate at Full Speed (12 mbps) at the same time. I am able to run multiple USB 1.1 webcams at the same time from the hub. The hub is weighted enough so the usb cables are not pulling the hub off my desk. The two ports on the top are really useful for usb sticks and the phone/ipod/headset chargers.

5 of 5 Great Product Monday, March 16, 2009
Larry from Spokane, WA
I purchased this Belkin USB 2.0 7 Port hub to go along with another one to daisy chain them together. I have had one of these hubs for over a year and it has worked without any problems. I am extremely happy with the performance of both hubs.

5 of 5 Great hub Sunday, February 15, 2009
A Customer from Houston, TX
There's not that much to say about a USB hub except that it does what it advertises to do (which other hubs somehow are unable to do). I really like the two upward facing ports as it provides easy access for USB flash drives and other often plugged/unplugged USB devices. The indicator lights are a plus and the design makes it very stable and sturdy on my table. Speeds are fast and very reliable. I bought this hub for a known unique setup issue with my Palm T3 (and my now completely outdated PalmOS...): I have a Dell 600m and its corresponding port/dock replicator which will not correctly recognize the HotSync dock for the Palm T3 handheld. The workaround for this is to connect a USB hub in between the Dell port/dock replicator and the Palm HotSync dock. Somehow this fixed my problem. The Rosewill USB hub (model RHUB-310, 7-ports, has a base and stands up) didn't work, but the Belkin did. Thank you Belkin!

5 of 5 Good value--does what I bought it to do Saturday, January 31, 2009
Larry from Baltimore, (which is still in Maryland)
This is a nice item that has worked perfectly. Nothing flashy about it, but the two top ports are convenient for things that you will connecting and disconnecting, such as jump drives and MP3 players with integral USB connectors. The total 7 ports should be plenty for me. Also, the cable included is decently long (five feet), not one of those short and useless ones sometimes included with products just so the box can say "includes connecting cables." This is a good product, I can't find any negatives and the price was certainly right with the Buy.com rebate. I recommend it.

4 of 5 Great Hub, bigger then appears Thursday, January 29, 2009
sd from Haddonfirld, NJ
Works as expected, having an iMac with all of the ports on the back it is nice to have a hub that you can get too. the two top ports are great for usb thumb drives and the occasionally wires, having 5 on the back is really nice. Never realized how many usb devices I have. The only problem is it is bigger then it appears, because of the stacking ability it is almost the size of a cd case. was hoping for smaller size

5 of 5 Works fine with Macs Wednesday, January 28, 2009
EMK from Ann Arbor, MI
The Belkin 7-port hub arrived before expected and has worked perfectly ever since. Of course, I expected that, since my wife has been using the same model for about a year without problems. I see that others claim it gets too hot but it runs MUCH cooler than the Zonet ZUH2207 it replaced. That one would stop working after a few hours of use because of overheating, and was useless until it cooled again.

5 of 5 Economy Hub Works Well Monday, January 26, 2009
Ken from Seattle, WA
I have had no problems with this hub and was able to install and use this hub very quickly. I'm not sure why it's called an economy hub since it seems well built and is very capable with it's support for 7 devices. It's nice that two of the ports are on top and easy to access. I have heard that there are heat issues with this hub, especially if stacked, but mine seems to be running very cool, though I only have 4 devices plugged in so far. This has been working well with my MacBook Pro.

5 of 5 Belkin Hi-Speed USB 2.0 7-Port Hub Monday, January 26, 2009
Tom from Seward, NE
I am very happy with this hub. I needed extra connections and this hub works great having 7 additional ports. I especially like the option of having two ports on top of the hub to easily use with thumb drives, mp3 players or to connect my camera.

5 of 5 Does the Job Friday, January 23, 2009
A Customer from ny, ny
I ran out of USB ports and looked for something that would be inexpensive and easy to install... After reading the reviews on Buy.Com about this item, I bought it... It has met all of my expectations. I simply plugged it in and it is was recognized immediately. I particularly like the feature of having 2 easy to access ports on top that I use for my IPOD and my Blackberry.

3 of 5 Gets too hot Saturday, January 03, 2009
Kriston from Washington DC
This is the best hub you can get because the ports are on the back with an extra two on top. This makes it fit nicely on your desk. The bad thing is that it gets horribly hot even if you have nothing plugged into it. The good thing, though, is that it seems to provide more than 500 mA per port which is a good thing for your non-powered USB hard drives and things that charge via USB.

5 of 5 Great hub Tuesday, December 16, 2008
R from Oklahoma
Used mine for about 3 years before it quit. Had 2 and the one one the bottom got too hot from being stacked. And shorted out it out. be carefull when stacking as they tend to get very hot. Overall a great hub and as others stated the top acess ones are handy.

5 of 5 just what the doctor ordered Wednesday, December 10, 2008
Allen from Saline, MI
I am very happy with this one. I tried an older Stratitec 4-port hub on the new Vista laptop, but it was neurotic. This new Belkin 7-port hub was plug-n-play simple. And I really appreciate the two ports on top. I have the unit velcro'd to the wall behind my monitor, which makes it nice and stable, and keeps it out of the way, but it's not easy to see or get to the side ports. A couple of these side ports are used for the 'always connected' stuff (like the Brother label maker and the WD MyBook). The top ports are reserved for the removable stuff, like my USB flash drives, which I pop in and out whenever I move the laptop. That's nice. The connectors are easy to locate; no need to blindly poke at the USB female around the backside of the unit. Although sometimes that can be fun!

5 of 5 Works great. Slightly large. Wednesday, December 10, 2008
Glenn Commons from Colorado
This is a quality product and works as you would expect; however, it is a bit larger than I imagined from the photo in the description. It is 5 1/2" wide and 4" deep. It takes up a little more desk space than anticipated. Other than that, I'm happy with it.

5 of 5 Great USB hub - Easy access ports a key feature Tuesday, November 04, 2008
TechGuy from West Bend WI
Great price for a very dependable hub. Just having the two easy access ports on the top of the hub is worth the price - not having to fumble around trying the find the front ports or fighting the cables in the back of the processor. I used to leave a 3 ft USB extention cable plugged into the front of the PC - no need for that anymore. Low profile and neutral color instead of a brightly lit neon fixture is also a plus. As always, great price and fast shipping from Buy.com

3 of 5 Great design and value, but overheats Tuesday, October 14, 2008
PSC from Arlington VA
I have owned three of these hubs; the first two worked fine but eventually overheated and failed. That's the bad news --- the good news is that Belkin stands behind its products and honored its lifetime warranty without hesitation. I'm on my third one and hoping that the design and convenience are finally matched with equally good durability.

5 of 5 Very well designed USB hub, no problems, recommend Sunday, October 05, 2008
jumpfroggy from Wakefield, RI
I usually go for the cheap <$10 USB hubs, but I found this one on sale a while back. It looks very nice, and I liked the design, so I got it. I've had it over a year now, and I just bought another. The hub has 7 ports, which is a lot nicer than the typical 4 port hubs. It's powered, so you should have no problem with power hungry items (like webcams, charging MP3 players, etc). The design is nice, a bit rounded but flat, and it fits well on a desk. The layout of the USB ports is very good; 4 in the back flat on the desk, and 2 up top for quick plugging. I plug a bunch of stuff in the back that I know I wont be moving, and I use the top 2 for things like memory sticks and temporarily used items. The hub has had no problems at all, and is still going strong. It is stackable, though the top 2 ports of the bottom unit are below the surface of the first so you wouldn't want to use them too often. It has LED's in the front to see when items are plugged in (though they're not labeled). Overall the best USB hub I've used, and I haven't seen any others that I like the layout as much. Definitely recommended.

5 of 5 Great Product Monday, September 29, 2008
MR from KY
Purchased this product a couple of weeks ago and so far it's working as expected. Have my scanner, photo printer, USB turntable and a WD external hard drive plugged in. I've used the top ports to sync my iPod. Everything works perfectly. I use another powered hub as well but wish I had two of these instead. Not sure I would have paid full retail but with the rebate the price was too good to pass up. Glad I bought it.

5 of 5 Flawless so far. Tuesday, August 26, 2008
Kert from Conroe, TX
I've used this product for over 2 years now(v3). Have major items such as mouse, keyboard and camera plugged to the back(and anything else I wanted) and used the top two ports for flash drives routinely/daily. It's never failed and has been completely reliable. I'll purchase this same product again.

5 of 5 Performance and Looks Saturday, August 09, 2008
Alex from New York NY
I originally bought this because i needed extra usb outlets without making it too messy on my table, the design of the hub is very sleek and good looking. I love how the usbs are behind the unit and not in the front like some other units out on the market. It also has 2 top loading usbs for your flash usb drives and etc. The price was very reasonable and i couldnt have selected a better product.

5 of 5 Good Hub Tuesday, August 05, 2008
A Customer from Madison, Al
Having 7 ports is pretty awesome. Working well so far. WARNING: No good for USB Wifi adapters. Only use this with removable media like flash drives and media card readers. Apparently Bluetooth adapters are ok to. Just know that it's not going to be happy with you if you put a USB Wifi adapter in it.

5 of 5 Great Hub Tuesday, August 05, 2008
Walt from Spring Hill, FL
I've been using one of these hubs for several years now, and it continues to work exactly as advertised! What more could you want? I ordered another to give as a present. When it arrived a few weeks ago, I was pleased to see that it appears to be an exact copy of the old one, and works just as well. To test, I simply unplugged the older one and plugged all my peripherals (printer, scanner, Palm, and two external HDs) into the new one; plugged in the power cord, and it performed exactly the same. The top mounted slots are ideal for occasional use for flash drives, camera uploads, iPod syncing - you name it. I unhesitatingly recommend it.

3 of 5 Reliability Problem with USB Hub Tuesday, July 22, 2008
A Customer from Orlando, Fl
Overall, this unit is nice in terms of form and function. I like the two extra ports on top of the unit, because they're wide enough apart that I can easily plug in USB drives, Bluetooth adapters, and the like without running into mechanical interference problems. The problem here is that this is the 2nd unit I've purchased. The first died after about a year of use. It was still under warranty, but you have to pay shipping back to Belkin and the cost of the shipping was almost the same as the cost to buy a new unit. So there may be a reliability issue here and it deserves a red flag. On the other hand, I've repurchased the same product because I can't find something else in form which satisfies my needs.

4 of 5 Nice, but some weird problems. Tuesday, July 15, 2008
A Customer from Ithaca, NY
The device is small, portable, and the ability to use it without the power adapter is handy if you need it on the road. It gets warm, but not too hot (although it seems that some do, according to a lot of reviews). I do have one weird problem with it: when I use it with my wireless mouse, the mouse will occasionally malfunction and not work properly until it is removed and reattached. The mouse does not do this when plugged into the computer directly. I don't think it's completely the hub's fault-my mouse does have other weird quirks, however, it only has this one specific problem when used with the hub. If your peripherals start acting up, check them with a direct connection, because it may be the hub's fault. Otherwise, it's a nice product.

5 of 5 Very Nice Hub Tuesday, July 15, 2008
Lenny from Katy, TX
This is my first usb hub and it's been a good experience. Upon installation I did skip the step where I should've waited until windows installed the drivers before using but I got impatient. It was spelled out clearly in the instructions. Once I saw that everything worked beautifully.

5 of 5 Belkin USB 2.0 7-port economy hub Saturday, July 12, 2008
Jim from Kearney, NE
This is an excellent product. I had purchased one prior to this one and had good luck with it. I like the fact that it is stackable, and when I had an opportunity to buy another, I took it immediately. I'd recommend this product to anyone looking to expand their high speed USB capability. With my second Belkin USB 2.0 7-port economy hub I have 14 additional ports in the space needed for one.

3 of 5 Sleek but one terrible flaw Saturday, July 12, 2008
Karim N. from Redmond, WA
Loved the look and features of this hub, very sleek and functional indeed. A little too light in weight - don't count on it sitting still with many cables plugged in. Major drawback is the mini-USB plug for the connection to the PC - not a very tight or comforting fit at all. Even the slightest bit of jostling unplugs the mini jack. For a desktop unit like this, a full-sized USB-B plug for the PC connection is a must! Avoid the frustration, look for a hub with a full-sized PC plug.
