Typing on the Logitech Cordless Desktop S 530 Laser for Mac keyboard offers good tactile feel. The keys aren't spongy feeling at all. Key travel is slightly less that on my G15 keyboard, but offers much the same feel. As a long time Windows user just starting to use a Mac, I was glad the keyboard brought back my backspace and delete keys, which I missed very much on the MacBook built-in keyboard.

The item we purchased was out of stock with Apple so it was amazing that you had it in stock and delivered it quickly. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Finally--keyboard combo made for Macs! Thursday, December 25, 2008 A Customer from KY
It's hard to find keyboards and mice that are Mac-specific, so I was relieved to find this one. Overall, I'm very pleased. It looks perfect with my iMac, with its white-and-silver color scheme. Keys are laid out in traditional Mac fashion, so no learning curve. "Hot" buttons on side are handy (although I usually forget to use them!). Battery life in the keyboard is quite long; battery life in the mouse isn't nearly as long--but I'm on my computer several hours most days, so perhaps I use it more than "average". Knowing the set has a longer-duration warranty period was nice, too; it's encouraging when a manufacturer actually seems to stand behind its products. Recommended highly! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Works Great with Mac Mini! Thursday, September 11, 2008 Mini Mac Attack from Dearborn, MI
This Wireless USB Keyboard/Mouse works great with my New Mac Mini! I had a problem with a few keys on it, I called customer service and had a great experience with them! I really like Logitech products, they are always better and seem to take the time in creating new products! And the price from Buy.com makes it a great value! Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Keyboad Thursday, August 21, 2008 Y-Guy from Tri-Cities, WA
I've been using a Logitech Wave at work and home, but my new desk at home didn't offer me much space between the keyboard draw and the bottom of the desk. It was making it hard to reach the keys at the top (back) of the Wave keyboard. So I bought this Logitech keyboard since it had the extra keys along the sides, and well the colors matched the iMac better too.
What I really like about the keyboard is the feel of the keys. The keyboard is also much quieter then my Wave or other keyboards. It takes less movement to trigger a key as well, just in one evening of use I knew I would be happier with this keyboard.
Programming the Keyboard and Mouse with the current software for the Mac went fine and I had the keyboard/mouse setup to my needs in less then 10 minutes.
The only gripe I would have is the small USB adapter is BLACK. While the keyboard, mouse and the wired USB extender are all white. I am wondering if I got a left over since it just doesn't seem to fit at all. Thankfully it rests behind my Kennsington Dome Hub so I don't see it. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Great Product Tuesday, June 03, 2008 A Customer from Phoenix, AZ
First off, let me start by saying that I am totally new to the Mac world as I am a Microsoft user. I got a Mac for music recording and picked up this keyboard/mouse set. It was so easy to set up, works perfectly, and never has had a problem! The slim design and soft-touch keys are great! And you can't beat the price here!! I would recommend to other Mac users as a great combo wireless package. Was this review helpful?

4 of 5 Lot to like about this keyboard, one flaw Friday, January 11, 2008 cmiller from Las Vegas Nevada
I have bought three of these. Two of my employees use them and like them. When my old keyboard began to get flaky I bought one to use on my MacBook Pro at the office.
It is a good looking keyboard. I like the feel of the keys. I LOVE all the Mac buttons on both sides. The mouse works well. The cordless thing cleans up my desk.
My only gripe with the keyboard is the key layout. There is no = sign in the numeric key pad, it is replace with a Clear key. Equal is only on the top row of the letter keyboard. There is no forward delete key. It is replace with a home key.
It may be possible to reprogram some of the keys or there may be a multiple key stroke that will solve this problems. If I find them I may improve my rating. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Excellend cordless desktop Monday, October 29, 2007 Ewa from McKinney, TX
I've been using the keyboard/mouse combo for 3 months now and am very impressed. Communication with my iMac has never been an issue and I'm still on original batteries, so I'm very pleased. The keyboard has some great additional buttons for iTunes and web surfing which I find very helpful since I like to listed to radio shows in the background while working on other stuff and the buttons on the keyboard allow me to stop/start play with iTunes working in the background. Otherwise it's a great keyboard; very similar to the Apple one and although louder when you type, it's not bad and easy to get used to. The mouse rocks, but I'm a Logitech mouse junkie and can't say anything bad about a mouse of theirs I've had. The click wheel is awesome with up/down and right/left capabilities, the sound buttons on the keyboard rock, and the forward/back buttons by your thumb are very helpful. The best thing is the programmability of the mouse buttons; you can basically make them do what you want which is by far my favorite function of the Logitech mouse/software combo. Oh, and color wise, it totally matches the iMac; looks very sharp. Highly recommend. Was this review helpful?

Got this combo package (mouse + keyboard) one week ago and I am so impressed about all the aspects of this product like you wouldn't believe! Right from the openning of the box everything is so professionally made, the quality shines, the design is super modern, reliability unquestionable, in other words a product worth 5 stars. I really like the fact the you can turn off the mouse and conserve the battery power. That's a great idea that not many manufacturers apply to their products. Kudos to Logitech!!! The shape of the mouse perfectly fits the palm of my hand. Very comfortable feel of using this mouse. The laser helps a lot and the fact that everything is wireless and USB makes this product a huge winner. Speaking about USB, the package comes with the USB extension cord. This could be handy for those with desktop computers, but what made me smile was the fact that I could plug in the actual USB transmitter into my MacBook Pro USB socket and everything works great. No need for any USB extension cord (even though it's inculded in the package). This is NOT Bluetooth technology. It's just wireless USB. The keyboard feels so smooth and it is very quiet when you type. So many programmable buttons (internet options, and other features). The keys on the keyboard feel truly supperb. All in all it is a great product! Get it since they still make it. Did I say the white mouse and keyboard with slick design looks absolutely awesome with ANY Mac computer? Enough said. Go get it. You will not regret it. Was this review helpful?
4 of 5 Awesome product but a few small gripes Saturday, May 12, 2007 A Customer from Brooklyn, NY
I got this when Buy.com had it on sale, so I got an incredible deal. Overall I have very pleased with the the mouse and keyboard, my only two complaints are:
1) Since most macs now come with it anyway, I wish it was bluetooth so I wouldn't have to use an adapter
2) I wish at least the mouse had rechargable battery pack like some of the newer Logitech mice do.
I love the slim profile of the keyboard and style/design-wise, it looks great will my mac & cinema display. Was this review helpful?

Cordless set made for iMac in white and silver.
Purchased this set for a new Intel iMac.
The mouse is far superior to the standard iMac mouse.
Keyboard about equivalent to the standard corded iMac keyboard
(My wife actually prefers the original corded iMac keyboard.)
I have a PC with Logitech corldless keyboard and Mx700 mouse that has been very stable still functions superbly after ~3 years of use. The rechargeable mouse is a feature that I love on Mx700 that is missing on the S530 series.
There is limited availability for cordless sets for iMacs.
The S530 is worth the price for the mouse.
A rebate can enhance your deal if available.

5 of 5 best keyboard and mouse for mac Monday, April 02, 2007 A Customer from San Diego CA
Logitech Cordless Desktop S 530 Laser is the best combo for Mac. Buy.com has the best price. Product arrived quickly in top shape. No paper work for mail in rebate but still the best price available. The keyboard is quick and reliable, unless you pour beer into it. Fellow writers, this could happen to you.

3 of 5 overall a good buy Wednesday, March 28, 2007 A Customer from los angeles, ca
works simply by plugging into the computer. some things to watch out for.
- dont install the software in the box. it is from 2005. download the newest version from online.
- dont uninstall the software if you've installed it. it will uninstall the keyboard driver and you'll no longer have use of your apple key, until you reinstall the operating system. good thing tiger's reinstall process backs up all your data.
- if you take the usb dongle+mouse for travelling, expect to have to reboot when you return, as the keyboard will not be recognized Was this review helpful?

I think this is much better than Apple's Mighty Mouse and Keyboard combo. The extra buttons on the keyboard are OKAY, but the mouse makes it a worthwhile deal.
I wouldn't pay the premium if you just want a new mouse to buy this kit, I would rather recommend just a wireless Microsoft or Logitech mouse. Most MS stuff works fine with Apple. Was this review helpful?
2 of 2 customers found this review helpful. 5 of 5 Finally Programmable buttons for Mac that WORK Monday, January 08, 2007 Ben from Salt Lake City, UT
I have had several different wireless desktops for my Mac. When I first switched to Mac from Windows, I looked for a logitech desktop, but none existed. I used the Kensington Desktop, but it was dissapointing in that they tried to make it both Mac and User friendly which required changing a few buttons so they could double lable them. They switch the OPTION key and APPLE key for ease of use in Windows (Through Parallels or Bootcamp).
The mouse has a volume/mute control which is fantastic, and I love having the internet "back" and "forward" button on my mouse, it makes cruising the net much easier.
This keyboard works perfectly, unlike the others, all the programmable buttons work like a champ. Unlike the others, the batteries last for a while. Unlike the others, the keyboard doesn't skip works when you type 120 WPM (like me:) ).
I would reccommend this product for any MAC user. Was this review helpful?
