19" LCD Active Matrix TFT - 700:1, 1280 x 1024, 8ms - Black

Well...it finally happened. Tonight, 1 of 2 monitors I bought in July of 2006 died. It started sporadically turning itself off and on every hour or so a couple days ago. But tonight, it did it for the last time. It flipped itself off and on a few times and then went black. It's totally dead and won't even turn on. <BR><BR> I would have expected to get at least a couple years out of this thing. But you get what you pay for, right? The other one will probably go any day now. :(

I've had this monitor for almost a year. It works great. The picture is bright and clear. Video looks good. There are no dead pixels. I highly recommend this monitor!

I'm still new to the computer world but the Acer 19" LCD is a whole lot better than my 17" Dell monitor. More to see and very easy to set up with the plug and play, I had it on in about five min. and very happy with what I got!! :)

We were looking for a 19" monitor that had good specs and a decent price for one of our clients. This filled the bill. We ordered 4 and after installing them, ordered 3 more. If you don't need built-in speakers, USB Hub or DVI but want a good quality image and 8ms response at an affordable price, this monitor is for you.

I ordered my acer 19 inch monitor monday and it came on thursday. Im very happy with it. Setting it up was very easy and the graphics are outstanding. This is the first flat screen monitor I've had. The price was right on I shopped around on the net and I would have to say buy .com has the best deals out there, also you can track your order I thought that was very cool. buy .com rocks!

The good: This a good monitor. It works right out of the box. Colors are vibrant! The thing I love about acer monitors is that they are pretty consitent in colors. I bought the wide screen model and they match up pretty good, colorwise.(I have seen monitors with the same model but their colors do not match up at all). No dead pixel! The bad: It starts to have black light bleeding when it's warm. It's not as bad as others, but I wish they could have designed it better so the heat won't cause backlight bleeding.

I bought this to replace my teenager's aging 21" Sony CRT, and it looks simply awesome, even compared to our other LCD monitors. It's nice and crisp and looks great for the graphic arts programs he runs.

We have a large number of these monitors to do video editing with Premiere Pro. Everyone loves the resolution and have had no problems or issues with these monitors. Would definately purchase more if I had more computers to build.

I received my Acer last friday, July 27th, and am real happy with it. I have replaced my 19" flat screen Dell monitor with this Acer and now have lots more room at my desk. The old Dell gave off alot of heat whereas the Acer doesn't.It is a terrific buy and a great monitor.

Just bought 2 of these for dual set-up in my recording studio to replace my aging 17" CRT's. No dead pixels and hooked them right up without any problems. They're great!

The monitor was easy to set up, just snap on the bottom stand and you are done. It doesn't adjust in height, but will let you tilt it back and forth. This was not a problem for me, I have a keyboard drawer where the monitor sits...giving it extra height. It came on fine and I hit the auto button, it did its thing and all I had to do was set the resolution and adjust the brightness some. It is nice and clear to view, the difference between my 17 inch crt and this is amazing....I don't want to use my other computer now. I give this A++++++, good job Buy.com

After reading the previous reviews.....I was sold. (I found them to be quite accurate in descibing the monitor.) I too am very pleased with this monitor. And just like you said...plug it in, hit auto, and set 1280x1024 and we're are up and running. After using a 15" so long this is a quantum leap forward. The screen is a lot flatter than I expected and a great space-saver. It could be wall-mountable. The colors are great and it is so simple to setup and operate. The software does have a detailed instruction book, etc. That's how I learned how to adjust the screen, contrast, brightness, etc. The base is a bit flimsy but my desk serves as a solid platform. If I could use another one at this price....I'd buy it.

The monitor is bright and clear and looks sharp (well, Acer) on the desktop. I got one of these for my father and I was able to increase his resolution and increase his Windows font sizes. It just looks fantastic and is a dream to work on. The monitor was in absolute perfect condition, and was delievered in just a couple of days. I'm now trying to decide now whether I want two of these for myself or two of the widescreens. If you're going from a CRT, you'll be downright amazed at how much desk space you're able to reclaim. The only bad thing I have to say is that it seems a little unsteady on it's base when you're moving it around, but it really isn't. I highly recommended this monitor.

First of all I have to say Buy Com delivered FFFFast and what a great deal. I had been looking for a 19" Monitor for a long time. When this Acer hit my e-mail I was sceptical. I went on to read the specs and decided it was too good a deal to pass up. After a few runs, I knew I hadn't made a mistake. I was very impressed at the overall performance and speed I had ultimatly gained. It was like adding more memory or a faster video card. Even though it doesn't have the fastest response time out there, the ratio and ms time were very impressive and more than enough for me and I'am sure alot of folks out there. You owe it to yourself to at least test drive this Monitor, you will be pleasantly surprised.

I bought this monitor for my wife as a Christmas gift in 2005. Six months later it is still working like a charm. She loves it. And I must admit the screen quality is very good! If you are not concerned about DVI connection...This is a GREAT Value!!!

I absolutely love my new monitor. I have had it about a month and have had NO prblems with it. The auto config is awesome. All I had to do to set this monitor up was put it on the desk and hook it up. No dead pixels and great picture. I strongly recommend this product.

I purchased this display to replace an old 17" CRT monitor whose image quality had slowly become very poor. This monitor produces a very sharp image with a very fast refresh rate. I don't notice any issues with the refresh rate while playing games or watching video. The installation was very easy, and it takes up a lot less space than my old CRT. The "Auto" button is also really helpful to maximize your desktop to the size of the screen automatically with the push of a single button. What took so long for the manufacturers' to figure that one out? The only issue I can find with this monitor is the base which seems a little flimsy compared to others I've seen however, with the screen sitting on a sturdy desk there shouldn't be any problems. I have noticed that if the monitor is bumped it will wobble slightly for a few seconds. Overall I still rated the value at 5 because the base issue is really not a problem and it is a great price for all the features.

Very fast delivery. Clean pic, and not one dead pixel. Have monitor since end of April and absolutely no problems. Very nice picture, was using CRT 17" Gateway EV700. Also, LCD makes a huge difference in spacesaving. Awesome deal at BUY.COM!

I haven't tried to have it replaced though because I only wanted it for work and I actually had a stuck pixel on my CRT and it never bothered me. If it had been two then I would maybe have tried to get a replacement. It is a beautiful monitor and I do love it. It has a great picture and is more than I expected. I would recommend it and I am considering a second for my bedroom computer.

I've had this monitor running most of the day now, and so far it's performed flawlessly. The 8ms response time works well for gaming (try to find a "gaming LCD" for under $400), and everything else I've thrown at it. No dead pixels, the auto config worked perfectly, and the picture is sharp and clean.

This is a great monitor for the price. I have purchased 5 monitors in the past 6 months for work or home and this ranks with my Samsung SyncMaster in quality, at $100 less. It is the only monitor that auto-setup and needed absolutely no "tweaking". The monitor does perform best at 1280x1024 (per the monitor instructions). At 1024x768, my previous default, the text was a bit choppy. Abolutely a 5 star rating.

I bought this because it was inexpensive compared to other brands, and I had only read good things about it from the few customer reviews I could find. I've only had it a few days, so I can't comment on its long-term reliability, but overall, it is very nice monitor with a great picture. Out of the box, the default settings weren't to my liking, with brightness, contrast, and colors all set to maximum, so I lowered the brightness and contrast significantly, and lowered the color intensity somewhat, and the image was perfect, as far as I was concerned. I also noticed a bit of jittering in certain patterns at first, but lowering the refresh rate to 70Hz solved that problem. The only issues I can think of, aside from the ones that come with any LCD monitor (native resolution, for example), are that it is analog only - no DVI, and that the stand doesn't telescope, so it may sit a bit low on some desks. Overall, a great value.

I ordered this Acer monitor after looking at many on line and in stores. The price here was great at $215.95 but with the added $15 off for first time customer it was awesome. I got the free shipping and expected it to take 7-10 days to get here but it arrived the day after it was shipped. I set it up in just minutes. Snapped the base on plugged the plugs into the monitor, the pc and the power and it was ready to go. Not a thing needed to be adjusted or set. It just powered up and self adjusted and that was it. I put in the cd that came with it. It contains the user manual which was very straight forward and only 20 pages. The quality of the picture on this monitor is great. No bad pixels. Very good contrast and brightness. whites are very white and blacks are very black. I do not do gaming or dvds so this monitor will be just right for me. I would definitely recommend it. The 3 yr warranty was a big plus.

Just purchased 2 of these to run in a 3 monitor setup with my existing Acer AL1912. Unpacking and installing them took less than 15 minutes, and they look great. No dead pixels or any other problems. In total I've purchased 4 Acer LCD's from buy.com. (2-AL1916's, 1-AL1912, and 1 AL1916w). I've been thrilled with the price, quality, and ship time on all of them. Keep up the good work!

This is an excellent monitor. Opened box...plugged it in and XP immediately recognized the monitor. When computer was warming up, it actually "self adjusted" the monitor screen for a perfect fit. I have just watched a Star Wars DVD and the visuals were perfect. As you can tell I am really enjoying this monitor. Great Price too!!

This is a great value for the money. It's not state of the art, but it does the job better than I would have thought for the price. I would highly recommend this over any no-name brand
