I live alittle out in the country where the power seems to stop long enough to reset every clock in the house. This thing does the job, I haven't tested to see how long it would last but it doesn't matter. I have it set to save any open application and shut down the computer before damage occurs. Well worth the money. Was this review helpful?
5 of 5 Good results,so far. Wednesday, February 14, 2007 A Customer from Aiken, SC
I have this hooked up to a cable modem, router, and internet-based phone gizmo. The power was off for about two hours yesterday. I don't know for how long the phone remained operational, but sometime during that two hours, all of the juice seemed to have been used. This device seems to be very well put together. Works like a charm. I have occasional power losses at the house that are usually just long enough to knock off the computer. With this unit hooked up, i hear an alert and see the computer go to battery power rather than the screen go black. This item is priced right and works great. You can plug you main computer components in the four battery outlets (monitor, cpu, cable modem, router) and you have four surge protected outlets for less important components (i.e. printer, speakers, etc.). This item also comes with software to program the computer to safely power down when the power goes out and you're away from the house. Overall, works great at a great price. Was this review helpful?

Surprisingly long on-battery running time for such a little UPS. More than 30 minutes battery time backing up a high-end Dell desktop + LCD monitor. Was this review helpful?

I have a couple of APC UPS systems that I really like. They work well as far as power backup goes, but the feature I like best about them is the management software included. It includes a lot of nice features like the ability to set when the computer should shut down when running on batteries. The management software also allows you to view statistics about how often the UPS kicks in, and some parameters about the unit responds in power failure situations. Overall I have never been let down by an APC UPS. Was this review helpful?

I have gone through several different brands of UPS devices, and APC has always been the one that comes out on top. You can certainly trust APC. This model, like many others, is very user friendly and plugs right into your USB port. The software that comes with the UPS will monitor the device and automatically shut down your computer for you if you're away during a power failure. This will make your computer happy!
